Best Catering Company Ever !

I can’t thank David and Quann enough for their professionalism and patience with me throughout this two year process leading to our wedding day . We have been experiencing the roughest two years of our lives and had to postpone our wedding for a year. David was kind of enough to hold both dates for us. The love and kindness from everyone who works at Mitchell Casteel was truly appreciated . Their food was fantastic. Anything we asked for was accomplished and their even crafted signature drink for us in relation to our puppy 🐶. Lastly, my coordinator totally bailed on me the day of the wedding and Quann saved the day. He took control whenever he saw I was overwhelmed. I will always remember this day! Thank you so much Mitchell Casteel 💕💕💕

Amazing delicious wedding catering

When we had to reschedule our May 2020 wedding to May 2021 we also had to change caterers. This was a scary thought. At the recommendation of our wedding planner, we decided to call Mitchell- Casteel. We spoke with David Casteel who set our mind at ease immediately. From the first time we met him at the delicious tasting we were hooked. He is a true professional and master at what he does. From the tasting to the wedding cocktail hour to the reception the food was top notch. They even made a Myer’s rum carrot cake as the groom’s cake at the rehearsal dinner. It was to die for! Having to change caterers turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We are forever grateful to have made a friend in David. He & his team are a dream team. Thank you for helping make our fairy tale wedding a dream come true. We look forward to working with you for future events.

After working with David for my wedding, I am convinced that he is not just the most talented caterer/planner in Raleigh, but certainly one of the absolute best you can find anywhere in the country. He is hands on, has an incredible depth of knowledge, is constantly evolving and has flawless taste. Being a bit of a perfectionist, it was a great relief to find someone whose opinion and work I trusted 100%. Working with David and Mark and the rest of the Mitchell's Catering team was my favorite part of the wedding. The only problem is that now I don't get to see him every couple of weeks!

My husband and I worked with David at Mitchell's for our wedding in June, and we were so impressed with the results! David was responsive and professional, and offered a lot of great suggestions and expertise to create the perfect vegetarian-friendly menu for our wedding. The food was delicious and the service and presentation cannot be matched. My husband and I didn't have a chance to eat much at the reception, but David and his team packed a to-go basket for us to take back to our hotel room. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

And I can't write this review without mentioning Casey, the pastry chef. He took 2 very different inspiration photos I gave him, and created a cake that was more beautiful than I could've even imagined. And the blueberry-lemon cake we chose tasted better than any wedding cake I've ever eaten.

I really cannot say enough good things about Mitchell's catering -- don't hesitate to hire them for your wedding. You won't be disappointed!

David and the entire Mitchell's staff was absolutely amazing for our wedding reception. They were able to accommodate my gluten free diet with no problem, very flexible with meeting times, and were able to make some table changes the day before the event without any issue. The food was unbelievable and the service was even more unbelievable. At one point during the night, a waitstaff person saw that neither my husband nor I had tried some of the food, so she made each of us a plate from the different stations and brought it to us to try. I will forever remember that and could not have been more pleased with how the night went.

David Casteel, of Mitchell's Catering, catered my son's rehearsal dinner at Cobblestone Hall in Raleigh. He was, first of all, a pleasure to work with. He listened to what I wanted and seemed to share my vision for the food as well as the appearance of the place. Cobblestone is a bit stark, left alone, and David knew which table linens and china were available and would work best with what we had in mind.

The food was outstanding, and many, many of the guests, including a former restaurant owner and caterer whose judgement I value, told me several times how good it was and how well trained the wait staff was.

I doubt I'll ever have occasion to have an event catered in Raleigh again. I don't live there - but if I ever do, David will be the first person I call!

My husband, parents, and I cannot get over how wonderful our wedding reception was!! Mitchell's Catering goes above & beyond. Our food was wonderful, and so was the service. My husband and I were served our food, always had a fresh drink, had our chairs pulled out for us, and our napkins placed in our laps. We felt like a king & queen all evening!! At the end of the night Mitchell's Catering staff gathered up all of our stuff & loaded it into the cars. They even packed us a basket of food for later!! We recommend Mitchell's Catering to everyone! Their service is out of this world!

Mitchell's Catering and Events in Raleigh, NC was amazing for my wedding! They served such wonderful food! From the moment we sat down to discuss what could be served 6 months before the wedding to when everyone was enjoying their food on the day of my wedding couldn't have been better! They made the most delicious martini's & cocktails, we also had their great tempura buffet and chicken satay which both were huge hits at cocktail hour! For the reception the salad, fish and beef, the risotto, and the desert ginger ice-cream with figs was perfect! David even followed up to make sure that everything we had talked about 6 months prior was actually in season, and if there was a chance that it wasn't (the figs and fish) he had an alternate plan set up! However, we didn't need the alternate plan because it all worked out! They are by far the best catering service in the triangle area!

Absolutely TOP quality service in every single aspect. From the initial meetings to tastings and dozens of follow-up emails, David Casteel and his colleagues at Mitchell's met and went far beyond all expectations we had for our catering needs. The menu was delightful, diverse, and unexpected, and the pastry chef, Casey Fry, is the best in the area. Not only was our cake delicious, but the littles extras like cookies, macaroons, and sorbets made our affair stand out from beyond all others. I echo the earlier reviews and must say that you absolutely will not regret a single moment working with the folks at Mitchell's.
