I highly, highly recommend Maggie if you are looking for an officiant for your wedding. My husband and I struggled with the decision around who to perform our ceremony: most of our friends recently have had friends or family members get ordained online and perform the ceremony, or our religious friends were getting married in churches with a minister. My husband and I aren't religious so that option was out, and we didn't feel like we had the exact right friend or family member to do the ceremony and worried about it feeling too casual. But we were also really afraid of hiring a professional officiant and having it feel impersonal.

Naturally, that meant we put this decision off as long as possible and found ourselves scrambling to hire an officiant 2 months before the wedding. Enter: Maggie! From our first conversation she made us feel so comfortable, and she gave us really helpful starting material to use to craft our ceremony. We admittedly did a heavy edit to add our own personalization and make it feel like "us", but I have no doubt that our ceremony would not have been as moving and meaningful if we had not hired Maggie. On the wedding day itself, Maggie really shined — her speaking presence is AMAZING and she narrated the ceremony beautifully. Hardly a dry eye in the house, and we had so many people tell us it was the most beautiful ceremony they'd ever heard.

We worked with Maggie on the ceremony for our wedding last year and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome! We lived in Colorado at the time and Maggie worked with us over Skype to get to know us and get an idea of what we pictured for our ceremony. We were very fortune and we know that we made the right choice to have Maggie officiate us. I felt as if Maggie poured a lot of loyalty into her work which shows. She is professional and organized; before our first meeting with her, she had us do “homework.” We filled out paperwork pertaining to our personal lives, how we met, beliefs and family traditions.

Maggie was very calming in a fast moving and stressful environment that is wedding planning. We had a nice in person meeting at first, in order to have a better understanding of what we were looking for and how she could support our big day. The initial meeting went well and after comparing to a few other officiants, we decided to go with Maggie. Her idea for us was to write our vows down in a letter form and she would read them on our behalf during the ceremony. She provided constructive feedback during the writing process and when it came time for the big day, it was best that she read the vows, because I would have ended up blubbering too much to be heard clearly by the guests. Once the ceremony was over, she gave us big hugs and said her goodbyes. Out of all the various vendors we worked with, she was so relaxed and calm.

We LOVE Minister Maggie and would recommend her to anyone. She listened and let us curate our entire ceremony. She spoke beautifully at the ceremony and has such a calm and wonderful voice. She met with us and with great perception was able to determine the tone and content of our ceremony. She respected our wishes and drafted beautiful vows.
