Mindy did such a phenomenal job and was so much fun to work with! She was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we would highly recommend her to everyone we know. We only have positive things to say about our experience working with Mindy.
When we first met Mindy, she truly took the time to get to know us as a couple. We worked with Mindy for our engagement session and for our wedding, and she was able to capture the most beautiful wedding pictures that made us cry, laugh, and truly feel like we were reliving our wedding just by looking at our photos. She was able to use our personalities as a couple and let us shine in every single photo.
At the end of our wedding night we took some last minute night time photos that turned out so beautiful, and we were also given personal Polaroid photos that were taken throughout the wedding day. We were able to see some of our sneak peek photos the same night as our wedding! Not only did she capture an amazing wedding with us, she was able to get all 800+ photos back to us within two weeks of the wedding.
It is clear how passionate Mindy is about her photography and the couples she works with, and we would recommend her over and over in a heartbeat!

Reminiscing on our 1 year anniversary, we could not be more grateful for the photos that Mindy took for us! She made us feel extremely comfortable and did a great job capturing every aspect of our day. There is not 1 shot I feel as though she missed. Her expertise shooting at DC Estate Winery really shined, as she helped guide us to the best places for first look, group photos, late night pictures, etc. She did a great job herding our large family after the ceremony for photos. The polaroids she gave us at the end of the night were such a fun surprise! We could not recommend Mindy enough.

We found Mindy because she was highlighted on our venue's recommended vendors list. She was also the one vendor that listed her prices on her website, which I appreciated and thought was more transparent. She was respectful, kind, and relaxed. She handled changes to the schedule on the fly really well, and we loved her style of photos.

I don't know words positive enough to describe how truly incredible Mindy is. Mindy is the single best decision we made for our wedding, and the one vendor that I will recommend with 100% faith to every single engaged person I know.

And each time, Mindy delivered photos that made us laugh, cry, gasp with excitement, and squeal with joy. Plus, she captures candid moments that give you a real time capsule of your day as it unfolded. Mindy takes the time to get to know her couples' personalities in a way that allows them to shine in photographs. My husband and I have so many photos that are so perfectly "us" that another photographer would not have captured. Mindy is so invested in the day - she even teared up during my first look with my dad - and makes your wedding experience feel even more special. Every member of our bridal party and family has separately told me how much they loved meeting Mindy and how fantastic she was to work with all day. She had us all relaxed an comfortable in front of the camera in a way I have never experienced when I've been in other weddings. Taking photos felt less like a formality and more like a fun thing we all got to experience together. We felt that way after our engagement photos as well - not as if we had just done a photoshoot, but as if we just had a fun date where we laughed and enjoyed ourselves.

And not to mention that she provided us with sneak previews THE NEXT MORNING and our full wedding album in record time! I cannot recommend Mindy enough. I'd give 1,000 out of 5 stars if I could.

Mindy was seriously the best. Her edits were perfect, she was very professional and was very responsive during the whole wedding planning process. I definitely recommend her company and plan to use her for any needed photos in the future!

When we started our photographer search, I - a self proclaimed photography lover - kept on seeing photographs that captured the cookie cutter aspects of a wedding with few shots that revealed the emotions and feelings of the day. After our friends Becca & Ben shared their photographs by Mindy with us, it was so easy to re-feel the emotions of our close friends' big day and so much more. The second we connected with Mindy, it was so clear how passionate and professional Mindy would continue to be.

My husband and I shot engagement photos with Mindy in October 2019, nearly a year before our would-be wedding. He was less excited about the opportunity to be in front of the camera but Mindy, with her humor and wit at hand, made him feel like himself. Her work is flawless - it captures raw, human emotion and she captured us as a team and a couple.

Fast forward to our wedding day - more than 10 months later than planned and on Mindy's birthday nonetheless. She and Katie, her assistant for the day, worked tirelessly to capture every moment, detail, and memory we could ever ask for. Our wedding day pivot yielded a location change where each event was not under one roof and even when it rained the morning of, Mindy was so quick to productively explain our options where our shot list would be complete in the best way imaginable. Mindy is an artist, not just a photographer and we are forever indebted to her for delivering the most magical photographs we could ever ask for. Every person who has reflected on our day with us has pointed out how incredible Mindy was... and we 1 million percent agree.

Mindy was amazing and captured every special part of the night. All the unique, silly and perfect parts. Her pictures are amazing and she went above and beyond what we could have asked for. Best photographer ever!!

Mindy had an incredible eye for capturing the sweet, candid moments during our wedding! She was also super helpful with the more formal shots with adjusting my dress or bouquet if something looked a tiny bit off. Very attentive and she made me feel so comfortable and beautiful! During the ceremony, I honestly don’t even remember her taking pictures she was so discreet. Highly recommend!

From the moment we met Mindy, we knew we were in great hands. She was timely and super communicative throughout the entire process and I knew we could count on her. She has a great personality that allows those she is photographing to relax and be more natural in photos. She also got our pictures back to us in record time! :). Mindy Joy Photography….where do I even start! My husband and I used Mindy and her team for our wedding this past September (2019) and we could not be happier with the services we received. From start to finish, everything about working with Mindy Joy was not only wonderful, but easy – her candor, her warm and happy personality, her invoicing system, her contract, her pictures! You guys. HER PICTURES. Mindy and her assistant are so incredibly talented. She was truly able to capture moments. With such ease!
