Food is a huge part of a wedding. And I'd been to enough weddings where the meal choices included rubbery chicken or beef with a side of mixed veggies or potatoes. My husband and I wanted our guests to have something memorable, and we knew we wanted Mexican food at our wedding (since this is San Diego and what better food to have at your wedding!). We entertained the idea of a few different Mexican restaurants/ catering businesses, however the second we contacted Jenny at Miguel's, we knew this was the right caterer for us. First of all, Jenny's communication with us was outstanding and she would stay in constant communication with us. She also was so flexible and easy to work with. We asked her if we could pick up linens from her a couple days in advance so we could get the linens on the tables early the day of the wedding. She made that work for us without any hesitation. She also let us bring our cake and booze that we bought for the wedding to store at Miguel's and then they brought our cake and alcohol to the venue the day of the wedding. Miguels also supplied us with champagne flutes! We elected to have Miguel's provide the bar service. That was a fantastic decision! Our friends and family are still commenting on how tasty signature cocktails were!

Next, the quality of the food and beverages was exceptional! So many of our guests (particularly out of towners) came up to us at the wedding to rave about how fantastic the meal was. Miguel's is our favorite Mexican restaurant and their catering has the same quality as the restaurant. We are so glad we went with Miguel's to cater our wedding day. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone for affordable, quality food and beverage services! We will absolutely use them again to cater future events!

This is a great place to have a small reception or rehearsal dinner. Mandy, the catering manager, was awesome to work with. She was patient and answered all of my questions :) We were able to get a small private room for our party of 20, and it even had it's own restroom facilities. I dropped off all my decorations in the morning, and they set it up beautifully. Best of all, the food is amazing! My guests were raving about it.

The minute I became engaged I KNEW I wanted Miguel's to cater my wedding. I wanted a taco bar set up and I wanted it from my favorite Mexican food restaurant.

I contacted Miguels and was put in touch with Melanie. She was/is AMAZING! The entire time I was planning my menu, she was there with reassurance, encouragement, and plenty of optimism. I was truly put at ease with how wonderful she was and how easy it was to work with her and her staff.

As for the food, it was delicious as always! We had shredded beef, shredded chicken, and shrimp tacos with all the fixings set up buffet style. Obviously the white sauce was over flowing as well! The food was a hit at the wedding and I received numerous compliments from our friends and family.

The wait staff for Miguels was EXCELLENT. The servers worked hard, but it never seemed like they were in the way or needed anything from us. They set everything up for us and helped take everything down. They truly were wonderful people.

I can't say enough positive things about Miguel's and Melanie, so please, if you are looking for a very cost-efficient menu that is delicious and comes with excellent service, Miguel's is the place to go to!
