The most gorgeous space in Kansas City
This was just the most beautiful venue we looked at for our wedding! And they remodeled before our wedding and made it even more beautiful. Missy was very adaptable when we wanted to bring in our own wine or change the beer selection. It's an absolutely gorgeous space that you would love for your wedding!Sent on 04/11/2019

We were thrilled with our decision to book Midland Theatre for our wedding reception. The staff was wonderful. We can't wait to attend concerts there in the future and be reminded of our fabulous, magical wedding reception with all of our closest family and friends. The beauty of the venue cannot be beat in all of Kansas City!
We were thrilled with the bar service, as well as the look of the photo booth. It was fun to design the Gobo display on the curtain, marqee sign outside, and looping photo slideshow on the monitors spread throughout the venue. There are many beautiful areas for photos. We did our wedding party photos there, as well as the bridal photos. We were even surprised how many gorgeous spots our guests found to take pictures, too. The parking situation and hotel availability was great. The wedding party was able to do a happy hour at the Chandelier Bar. It was fun for the wedding party to walk through the underground tunnel and get announced on stage. The Midland staff has a secure area for wedding party's personal items.
We didn't want a reception in a trendy loft-like space. We were going for classy, timeless, and elegant and this venue more than fits the bill. All in all, it's just hard to beat having your wedding reception in downtown Kansas City in a historic, convenient, breathtaking location.Sent on 03/30/2019

Katie Schillare is a true gem when it came planning our wedding reception at the Midland Theater. Katie and the Midland staff treated us like rock stars from day one! Not only is the Midland an amazing venue that transports you back in time, it is completely up to date and relevant to our current technologies. The wait staff never allowed for an empty glass and our guests raved about the food. Katie didn't miss a beat when cued with the important parts of our itinerary and all of our guests went home with great feelings and exclamations of "one of the best weddings they every attended". Thank you Katie for your impeccable consistency and continued enthusiasm for our special day.Sent on 03/05/2012
