There are no words to describe the unbelievable talent Michelle Lyerly has. Aside from taking amazing photos, she has this the most comforting nature that could calm any bride's nerves. John and I usually hate taking pictures and can be so awkward--she was so patient with us and coached us the entire way! I highly recommend her!

I originally found a photography group on Pinterest and contacted them about doing our wedding- they said they were booked already but recommended Michelle. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER it turned out that way. Michelle is flexible, friendly, responsive, and professional... but, when we got our engagement pictures back we also realized she's a genius at her craft. Seriously. She is so talented. Our engagement photos were stunning and she was able to capture incredible images of my 104 year old grandmom with my fiance and myself at the end of our session (a special request I had). Those images I will treasure forever. We have seen a preview of our wedding photos and they took our breath away- just so much more beautiful than we imagined or hoped for.

Lastly, in addition to producing incredible images, Michelle also had a perfect mix of spunk and directness during the portion of the day where we were trying to take all of our family pictures. She remembered so many peoples' names and got them to focus super well. That's saying a lot with my family :).

Michelle is a dream to work with. Her work is magical. She is magical. Both our engagement photos and wedding photos are keepsakes we will treasure for the rest of our lives. I particularly love the realness to the photos, very unposed and candid. She also has an uncanny ability to maximize natural light. I am especially grateful for her taking on our downtown Raleigh wedding. Without her mentioning it, I know she was going against her norm of shooting less urban and more natural wedding locations.
