Experience

Each musician of Meridian String Quartet holds an extensive amount of knowledge and experience in the music industry. Marcela, professional violinist, holds a music degree from the University of Costa Rica, and has participated in chamber music recitals, concerts, and festivals. Glori, professional violinist and vocalist, received her bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Texas, and has played with multiple orchestras and symphonies, including the Fort Worth Symphony, Irving Symphony, and East Texas Symphony. Cellist Drew Johnson has played professionally since 2002 and has studied chamber music throughout his life. Together, the musicians create a musical ensemble that are committed and passionate about their craft.

Meridian String Quartet is available to perform ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music for weddings. They provide an extensive repertoire of classical and broadway pop music. Couples can enjoy renditions of well-known songs, including Ode to Joy by Beethoven and The Music of the Night from The Phantom of the Opera. You and your partner have the option to have a string quartet, string trio, or string duo. For something new and exciting, Meridian String Quartet provides a duo of electric violin and cello, playing a variety of musical styles with amplification and pedal effects.
