Melissa was great she showed up early and even did more then asked. She captures our day perfectly!! And the pictures were just what we had asked for! Definitely would recommend her

I did a boudoir shoot with Melissa the week before my wedding and was extremely nervous going in...however, she immediately put me at ease with her sweet personality. I felt so comfortable in her presence and had SO much fun during the shoot (if you've been thinking about doing a boudoir shoot, DO it!!). It was honestly one of the highlights of the entire wedding experience. I wish I still lived on the central coast so I could have Melissa take all my photos - she is incredible. I would do this shoot over and over again if I could.

Melissa not only has an amazing way to capture the light, moments and beauty of your love she loves every second of it. She speaks so highly of all of her clients and works around your schedule. She has already done family photos and our engagement photos, we loved them all. She is well priced for the package you get and will work with your budget and what you want for your special day! She does a great job of capturing the moment with out being apart of the moment. I can't wait to have her with us on our wedding day!

Melissa was a pleasure to work with! From our engagement session to the wedding photos.. She was so creative and was prepared to capture the pictures I had envisioned. She was very responsive and timely as well. I was looking for someone with a creative eye who could capture our day without having the pictures be too posed.. She has a great way of capturing moments through a photojournalistic perspective that make a you feel the emotions through the lens. We had her make a highlight video of our wedding day as well and I cried, laughed, and felt overjoyed when I was able to see the short clip. I think I've shared and watched that video over 30 times now. Everyone was super impressed by her work!! Another reason I loved Melissa was that she includes high resolution CDs of all your pictures in the packet. That was very important for us since we wanted to have the rights to print any of our pictures as many times as we wanted! There is nothing worst than having to pay extra for those rights.. Especially for special days like your wedding! I highly recommend her work and will surely contact her for future photo sessions of special occasion or even baby session in the near future ;)!

We cannot believe how incredibly fortunate we were to find Melissa Jean Photography. The high quality of photos on the website mirror the high quality of photos we received. Photos are really important to me and my husband and we were looking for a photography team (2 photographers) that excelled at both posed and 'in the moment' photos. Melissa Jean Photography met and exceeded our expectations. We live out of the area so we spoke with the photographers on the phone initially, which really helped us feel confident about our decision to choose them as our photographer. Melissa was extremely easy going and both she and the second shooter, Erik, really worked with us to help us get photos we wanted and did a fantastic job of capturing all of the little moments we didn't get to see during the wedding day. Our photos are phenomenal! Many, many of them help us remember what was happening at that moment, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Our families loved Melissa, which is only a testament to how great she is!

Melissa was awesome! We had a very small intimate ceremony up in the Shell Beach/Morro Bay area and Melissa was willing to trudge thru the sand and drive to a 2nd location for the ceremony. Since we weren't local, all communication was done prior via email and phone and she couldn't have been nicer. Our photos turned out fantastic! They are relaxed looking and un-fussy, just what we had wanted. I love the "feel" of her photos, it's like you are really there. That's what led us to choosing her. She also takes great candid type shots and some of those are amongst our favorites. She's a super pleasant person and very talented. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use her again for another event. Thanks Melissa!!

By far the best photography duo I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Melissa & Erik were fabulous - especially since we had just met in person the night before! They were professional, creative, and fun to be around! My entire bridal party and family were so enamored by the duo - they were definitely the BEST investment my husband and I had made for our big day. Melissa worked with our hectic schedule months prior to the wedding and really listened to all of my opinions, likes and dislikes; they really captured the beautiful moments of our big day and worked with our two German Shepherds to our surprise! Melissa & Erik really care about their clients - they even sent us a little memento of the wedding on our anniversary! We were truly blessed to have Melissa Jean Photography as a part of our wonderful day and are always ecstatic to show our wedding photos every chance we get! Melissa is an amazing photographer (and videographer)! We really wanted to make sure we found the right photographer to capture our wedding day since our wedding photos will be with us for a lifetime and Melissa was that person. After looking at hundreds of photographers on the central coast, we settled on Melissa and are certain we made the right choice. Melissa offers great photography packages at fair prices. Not only did she do our wedding photos, Melissa also did our wedding videography and was able to capture so many special moments beautifully on video as well as on film. It is amazing how much she captured while basically taking photos and shooting video at the same time. Melissa is a photographer that definitely loves her job and her clients which shows in the pictures she takes. She has the ability to not only take great posed shots that are typical of a wedding, but those special little behind the scenes moments shared throughout the big day as well. We were so happy with how much we got from our package, from the engagement session that came with a disc of a ton of awesome images as well as an online gallery to our wedding day online gallery and disc of images.
