Medina Cuisine truly take pride in their work. Their food was phenomenal for our wedding as well as our Friday night dinner. Even the tasting was a step above any other Kosher caterer in the DMV. Our out of town guests raved about the food and my wife and I couldn't have been happier.

Medina was absolutely amazing for our wedding. Glatt kosher food that was absolutely delicious and so fun. We were able to create a perfect menu for us and our family and friends that people were talking about for days. The team was so amazing to work with and helpful through out the whole process. The service the day of was so attentive and they made the day go so smooth.

I can’t say enough good things about Medina Cuisine! We switched caterers last minute to Medina Cuisine. From the minute I spoke with Julie on the phone, I knew we were in good hands! Michael, Julie, and team delivered excellent service from the planning stages to the execution of the event. Our guests raved about the food and service throughout the entire night! They were very communicative throughout, answering any questions we had and alleviating any concerns! I’m so thankful to them for helping us to plan our dream wedding! It was clear their goal throughout the entire process was to help make sure this wedding was everything we had hoped for and more! I highly recommend using them for any kosher event and I definitely will in the future as well!

He is creative, kind and delivers an excellent product. Our guests were thrilled with the food at the wedding and were treated well by his professional staff.

From the moment we first approached Medina menu options to suit every palate and food restrictions, advised on linens and presentation and took care of all the logistics. The hors d’oeuvre, starter, all 3 selection of main course as well as the desserts were just delicious and beautifully presented. Service was superb - food arrived at the right temperature to everyone (220 guests). Bar and barmen worked efficiently. Staff were courteous and professional. Medina absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. First, they present their food like a piece of art. Our vegetarian dish (an acorn squash with a tofu-cherry-quinoa warm salad inside) was plated with a colorful orchid. Next, their food is delicious. Sometimes catered food can be a little dry and underwhelming and Medina was far from that. Everything was spiced/seasoned well and paired perfectly. They were also incredibly open to new ideas - my husband and I wanted to have a non-dairy waffle to make a bite-sized chicken and waffles hors d'oeuvres and, though they had never made it before, they accommodated our request and it was delicious! Last, their service is impeccable. Deborah was our POC through the process and she was nothing short of incredible. My grandfather (for heath reasons) can't passed food or buffet food and she made sure that a special plate was made for him and given to him directly from the kitchen. Each time we suggested something new her first instinct was to ensure they'd be able to make it 100% kosher to accommodate our guests. She even went so far as to show guests who needed to see, the heckschers on the bottles. Michael Medina was also there on the day of my wedding and made it a point to personally congratulate me and my husband and I thought that was a lovely touch. All in all, we are very pleased and impressed with Medina.

Medina catered the Shabbat dinner and wedding reception for our son's recent wedding. Shabbat dinner (buffet style/more casual) was delicious - a few told us the chicken was the best they’d ever had- and the staff was attentive and efficient. Michael was receptive to menu suggestions and changes. The wedding itself was elegant, and the food was spectacular - from the sushi to the Moroccan cigars to the main courses. Our friends are still raving about the food!

Medina Cusine did a great job in my daughter's wedding. Fish item was very soft and tasty. Vegetables & appetizers were excellent. Servers were very helpful. Karen Barall went out of her ways to help us with everything.

I wish our review of Medina could be more enthusiastic. We had such a joyous wedding, and everyone was happy with the food. But while the food was quite good, their business practices leave much to be desired.

The day-of service was generally good, but there were clearly issues with communication with the bar staff. Despite the fact that there was plenty of beer at the event (we even took 6 cases home), the bartenders apparently didn’t know where they were and told some guests that we were out. Additionally, my wife was asked what one of our signature cocktails was when she requested it, despite the fact that we had provided recipes months ahead and made signage for the day of.

These minor service issues weren’t a big deal, but the frustrating and unprofessional experience we had with Medina’s billing was. Before the wedding, we received a "final" invoice from Medina only after emailing 5 times over the course of a month, which we promptly paid. After the wedding, they emailed stating that we actually owed about 15% more than we'd already paid. After much back and forth, we established that more than $500 of the extra charge was an arithmetic error, another portion was explicitly included in what we had already paid (so they "graciously" waived it), and part was "overtime" fees for staff that they somehow hadn't anticipated, even though the event ran according to the schedule we'd provided over a month ahead of time.

They refused to compromise, meet us halfway, or provide a discount based on the fact that we'd budgeted based on the "final" invoice they'd provided. We are certain we did not have to pay this extra fee according to the contract, which required that we be notified of overtime charges ahead of time, but decided to pay up to be done dealing with Medina.
