We are Tanya and Harry McSween, a husband and wife wedding photography team in the Asheville, North Carolina area.
We take pleasure in getting to know others’ stories and investing our time and energy into creating images they will cherish forever. We have been truly blessed by this business. Photographing the lives of our clients is a life-giving job for which we are so thankful!
If you love our work, the soft beautiful tones in the images you see on our website, that is because we photograph most of what we shoot on film. Yep! Just like the film your grandfather used back in the day before digital was all the rage. By bringing film and digital mediums together we are able to offer a full and timeless experience for each of our couples. We believe that there are times when film photography shines and when digital photography is the best choice.
We have grasped this balance to create an exceptional collection of images for our couples on their wedding day. Our hope is that in years to come you will look back on your photos and have heirlooms that will stand the test of time and the fleeting trends that come and go. Beautiful photos and a fun team!
Tanya and Harry took both our engagement photos and shot our wedding. My husband gave the engagement photo experience the very high praise of "pretty good for taking pictures all afternoon". We had to change locations for the engagement photos due to weather but Tanya was so flexible and I knew before we even saw the engagements (which turned out beautifully) that we had chosen the right photographer.
Leading up to the wedding day, Tanya built a detailed timeline to help us stay on track. We never felt rushed or stressed throughout the day because Tanya and Harry, along with our our site coordinator kept the day on track and kept us laughing.
We could not have asked for more talented, organized, and most importantly FUN photographers.
A friend gave me a tip that when choosing a photographer you should obviously look at their pictures, but it's just as important to choose people you actually want to spend time with on your most important day. Tanya and Harry absolutely deliver on both fronts and we could not recommend them enough!

Pictures of your dreams!
Tanya and Harry are hands down the best photographer team you could ask for! As soon as I found their website on wedding wire and after speaking to Tanya, I had a gut feeling that I had to book her! Before I start posting my beautiful wedding pictures, I gave a huge shout to Tanya & Harry on my Instagram for making these pictures possible & always going the extra mile! We met them during our wedding weekend for the first time in person & immediately connected with them! Tanya created a timeline for our special day, came a day early to take detailed photos, and coached us throughout the day. Harry cracked jokes to keep us smiling throughout the whole day! I still hear Tanya's voice in my head when she gets excited about taking an amazing photo! I can hear the enthusiasm in her voice. It happens quite frequently. I had no idea what she meant until I was able to see these photos myself! Honestly, the best wife & husband team out there!

Highly recommend
This girl knows what she's doing!!! This wife and hubby work phenomenally together. My photos look like something out of a magazine. It's awesome. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend you splurging on them to take your photos.

A wonderful team to capture your special day!
We really enjoyed working with Tanya and Harry! We lived in Florida and were getting married in North Carolina so we didn't have a chance to meet them before the wedding day, but we heard rave reviews from our venue, Hawkesdene Estate, so we knew we were in good hands. They were a joy to work with and were so relaxed, which really helped when my head was barely on straight.
The day seemed to fly by but I am so pleased with all the photos they captured to help us remember the fun we had. I highly recommend McSween Photography to capture all the important moments in your life!

The best photographers ever!
Tanya and Harry were absolutely AMAZING. They were so professional while also super fun at the same time. They worked so well together. They worked hard to get to know us as a couple before our day which made the day of perfect. All of our pictures are fantastic. I could not have imagined having anyone else take pictures for our special day. They are a must hire!
