Emily and John made all our wedding day photo dreams come true. They are sweet and so fun to be around, and brought an incredibly calming presence to our day. They helped us establish a timeline and were flexible with changes. Most importantly...we are obsessed with the pictures they took and will cherish them forever!!

Emily and John are just incredible to work with! They are very relaxed and easygoing photographers.

I just love their instagram and their blog; they are two of the most genuine people. That was huge for my husband and me, as we are definitely not the most comfortable in front of a camera.

We had such a fun time during our engagement photo session, even though we had cold dreary weather. There are so many beautiful photos that came out of that afternoon!

On our wedding day, I never felt stressed about looking a certain way or doing an unnatural pose. Emily and John just capture the natural feelings and smiles that come out! We are so grateful that we chose Emily and John to document the biggest day of our lives. They were amazing to work with; everyone from the bridal party and our families cannot say enough good things about the two of them! Emily and John McNiel were such a great team to work with! Our wedding was a huge, two ceremony in one day affair with a Hindu ceremony and lunch, 4 hour break for photos and outfit change, then Christian ceremony and evening reception. We knew we'd need to find photographers who would be able to be with us for at least 12 hours, which is longer than most photographers offer for their full day packagers. John and Emily were able to accommodate that for a totally reasonable price and were such a fun, laid back couple who kept us completely at ease all day. I really appreciated their way of guiding us through photos so that we were never guessing how we should pose, but without making us feel unnatural or frozen. And our photos are COMPLETELY GORGEOUS!! I definitely recommend working with Emily and John!

It has been a month since our wedding and I still can't stop looking at the beautiful pictures that Emily and John took on our wedding day! Photos were one of the most important things of our wedding day and Emily and John captured so many amazing memories. Their laid back attitude helped us stay calm and comfortable for our engagement pictures and wedding pictures. I loved the email reminders that gave tips and suggestions before the wedding. Emily also helped go over the final timeline of the day and made it run so smoothly! I couldn't recommend McNiel photography more for amazing wedding memories.

You truly cannot put a price tag on the pictures that Emily and John are able to capture during your engagement session and wedding day. Outside of their professionalism, they are incredibly kind (talk about amazing wedding guests, I probably would have invited them even if they weren’t our photographers ) and share an incredible amount of industry knowledge with their Client Guidebook.

They make you feel incredibly at ease on what can be an otherwise stressful day—they encourage moments of “escape” with your significant other (which I highly recommend) to create unforgettable images that you will cherish for the rest of your life.

We absolutely loved working with John & Emily for both our engagement and wedding photos! They were so kind and easygoing - we felt like we could be ourselves around them, no awkward smiles or forced poses. They had some sneak peeks on their blog within days of the wedding, and we were stunned by how absolutely gorgeous they made everything look. They truly captured all the many wonderful moments of that day even better than we remember them. It's clear they have passion and a real gift for what they do - we could not have made a better choice.

In no particular order, things we remember:

Emily and her husband were very responsive and accommodating. Both of them are flexible and easy to work with. It was really appreciated, considering how messy and chaotic wedding planning can be.

The photos were beautiful! Having both Emily and her husband there was definitely worth the money. They were able to catch important events from different angles, and able to split up and cover more ground (we had ~100 people). They blended right in with the party.

We somehow were locked out of our venue the morning of the wedding, but they were very accommodating and able to keep us in a good mood while capturing the moment.

I also remember being super late to a meeting with Emily, but she was totally patient and understanding.

They uploaded the photos to a private website to share with people. Anyone who viewed it could order prints directly from the site. We bought some nice ones for family members as xmas gifts.

Long story short, everything was great!

This husband/wife duo are amazing! If you want someone who is friendly, sensitive, affordable, and has an eye for romance, McNiel Photography is the way to go!
