KJ did an amazing job at taking our engagement and part one of our wedding. She also worked with us through the crazy 2020 year by rescheduling our wedding date and making it work with our crazy families. She is great at helping couples feel comfortable while taking intimate pictures together, especially when it comes to kissing in pictures. She helps couples look natural and not forced or awkward! I am so excited to have her this summer to hopefully do our wedding part two with everyone. :)

I'm KJ owner of McKeehen Photography which specializes in award winning wedding and portrait photography. My studio is located in NE Minneapolis but I travel all over MN and Wisconsin for weddings and on location sessions.
My husband and best friend Ron and I have been married for almost 25 years. We have 6 kids, 2 foster kids, and 5 grandkids. Crazy Busy Life!!
The year of 2020 and Covid pandemic has brought me to discover more about myself and what I envision for how I can help my clients. I have found great joy in helping to empower women and young girls to help them feel more confident in themselves. I'm helping brides, high school senior girls, and first time mama's for maternity sessions. I have also officially added empowered beauty boudoir sessions to my website and have helped young brides create a velvet covered album as a gift for their groom and have cried with girlfriends as I showed them the back of my camera so she could see how beautiful she was. It's all about the empowering experience that I can help create for my client at every stage of their life.
When I started my photography degree back in 2012 my plan was to find another career that I would enjoy as much as being a teacher and also support and have time for my family. I’ve always enjoyed making people happy. My passion for photography has allowed me to do just that everyday and to capture those moments for my clients that are now my friends and family.
I would like to have an ongoing relationship with your family and help capture the memories and milestones in your life while creating family heirlooms to be enjoyed. My brides will go on to have their maternity and newborn session and I want to be there to help with their family's milestones.
This has been a hard year for everyone but I would like to help capture more beautiful moments along the way because LOVE is never cancelled!
