The Glensheen team worked so well with our wedding planner and caterers. Our wedding day was 100% stress free. They were even able to make sure that the string quartet was able to play for our outdoor ceremony in 38 degree weather without damaging the instruments or the fingers of the musicians!

Glensheen helped us to have the most memorable day! A very guest-friendly experience, our friends and family loved getting to spend time next to beautiful Lake Superior, touring the house, and celebrating with us! We loved tying the knot in such a unique and beautiful home that we can visit every year! Wonderful staff helped us to organize such a wonderful day. Would recommend to anyone!

We held our ceremony and reception at Glensheen and couldn't have been happier with how the day went. The coordination of the dj/caterer/bar/florist was excellent, the help setting up all the decorations/centerpieces took a lot of pressure off our family and they were very accommodating to our guests, even those with special needs. We got so many complements from our guests about how great a choice the venue was.

My husband and I had our reception here on September 8th and from start to finish, couldn't have had a better experience. The event director was super easy to communicate with and transparent during the booking process. In the months leading up to our wedding day, they would check in and were always available for any questions we had. On the day of, they took care of all the set up for us. When we arrived, everything was done and looked beautiful. During our reception, staff was incredibly attentive and always asking how we were doing and if we needed anything. If we asked them a question, they would get on their headset and find us an answer quickly. Just an example of how amazing this staff was: The florist misplaced my toss bouquet and a few of the staff grabbed extra flowers and created a new toss bouquet for me in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend Glensheen because not only is it a beautiful venue, it was the most stress-free part of wedding planning.

Absolutely phenomenal job Glensheen did for my daughter and son-in-laws wedding reception on August 26 2017. From directing our guests , for all the beautiful ways they placed our arrangements, it was beyond what we dreamed it would be! Thank you so much and we loved how the staff joined in on the dancing!!! Awesome job!

We had our ceremony and reception at the Glensheen Mansion on a Friday at the end of June. It was amazing! We were so pleased with how everything turned out, it was perfect! We worked with Emma mostly to plan all of the details, and she was excellent. On the day of the wedding, we were really impressed with how many staff members were at Glensheen just to help take care of our wedding. Their service was awesome! We had the ceremony on the balcony and the reception downstairs in the Winter Garden, with our food served buffet style in the billiard/family room next door. Our family and friends loved the venue! They were so impressed, and it was really fun to be able to move between the balcony, winter garden, or walk the grounds. The bonfire near Lake Superior towards the end of the night was also a big hit with the guests. Everything went perfectly, and we are so grateful to the Glensheen staff for making everything so special for us. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone, you won't be disappointed!

Our wedding here was extremely beautiful with the flowers blooming in the patio and the moonlight over the lake where we had a nighttime bonfire with s'mores bar which was set up with Northland Special Events. Reggie was always nice when we met her beforehand. On the day of our wedding, her assistant Ellie was fantastic. They are set up to do a slideshow either off a Mac or PC laptop projected over multiple large flat TV screens. We had some kids and teenagers at our wedding, who absolutely loved the venue to explore. The adults loved it too because there was something for everyone .. dancing, Photo Booth, walks by the moonlit lake. They also had multiple people stationed around welcoming and directing people where to go and to help with the self-guided tours, which people (including our mothers) liked a lot and gave an overall classy impression.

Absolutely beautiful venue. Reggie, the Event Manager was professional and fantastic. Everything was beautiful and went smoothly.

This is a beautiful venue right on lake superior and they catered to all my requests. Reggie, the event coordinator is just wonderful. She handles every detail.

! Regina , the wedding coordinator was amazing! She took care of everything. The grounds are imaculate and the staff was attentive without being noticeable unless you wanted them. From start to finish the entire experiance was great. The best part is the fee went to a great Historical site! Perfect and worth every penny!
