We worked with Matt for our wedding ceremony in May, 2022 and had a great experience! Matt was super organized and helped us plan all of our music selections for our ceremony, and played one of our favorite songs for the bridal processional, which made the ceremony personalized and special. Matt provided all his own equipment to amplify sound which was very helpful. Our ceremony music was beautiful - we highly recommend working with Matt!

So many of our guests complimented on the music for the ceremony and cocktail hour and the special sing along that Matt helped to execute, epic! People are still singing “It’s a Jolly Holiday with Mary”.
Matt is so talented; you will not be disappointed! We met with him at his studio, and he helped personalize the wedding, even learning songs we requested that he had never played before. Professional, reliable, so accommodating, this is one very important wedding detail you will not have to worry about with Matt.

Matt and crew played our backyard wedding and it was amazing! I do not have enough kind things to say about Matt as a professional. Due to the pandemic we had to reschedule, not once, not twice, but three times and he was accommodating each time without any frustration or question. When it came to the preparation before hand he was very quick and supportive with his responses. As for the day of the wedding, what can I say!? IT WAS PERFECT! (the weather not so much), but even in a tropical storm, Matt and his band mates showed up, kept spirits high, and played their A$$es off! If it wasn't for my wife, I would say they stole the show! ;) Interacting with the crowd, taking pictures, telling jokes, they truly were part of the night! I could go on and on about these guys, but I'll spare you, all I know is that they WILL be playing any backyard parties, family reunions, etc that we ever host. Thank you so much Matt! I wish you nothing but the best.

Matt was amazing to work with! It was the one area of the wedding I knew I did not have to worry, that Matt had it under control. We first found Matt online listening to his music and then listened to him in his studio, and my husband and I were in awe. The only request we had was for Matt to play “Here Comes my Girl” by Tom Petty when I walked down the aisle. Knowing that Matt took care of the rest of the music with his team, which was beautiful in every aspect. My husband and I would recommend Matt for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Matt was fabulous! He was so easy to work with and very talented with the guitar. Matt played the music during our wedding ceremony at OceanCliff in Newport, RI and it was perfect! Both my husband and I were in awe when we met him at his studio to listen. We were undecided about music selection and left it to Matt. Every song played was beautiful to the ears. We would definitely recommend Matt.

We hired Matthew to play acoustic guitar at our wedding ceremony and he was just so awesome to work with! He loves music and can play anything you want him to. We wanted a folksy instrumental sound and he delivered it with ease. Matt was so accommodating and made the process really easy on us, especially since music isn't my husband and I's strong suit. All the guests loved the sound and said it was the perfect touch to our cozy, rustic outdoor ceremony. I'd definitely recommend Matt to be a part of your wedding day!

Matt & his team were amazing! The music was exactly as we wanted, and we got a ton of compliments from our guests. Matt did a great job during the ceremony as well as providing the entertainment/hosting for the reception. Very professional, prepared and obviously experienced. Highly recommended!!

Matt played an amazing set of songs for our outdoor ceremony. We were concerned that we wouldnt be able to get power out to him (based on where we were) but he put our minds at ease and came equipped with a small amplifier powered off a battery pack! The volume was perfect. I heard everthing from the alter but everyone was still able to chat amongst themselves. Our in person meeting was quick and gave us a chance to really hear what he could play, talk about pricing, and talk about what kinds of songs we wanted to hear. We got very positive feedback from our guests. Canon in D for the bride to walk down the aisle was a perfect match and was played perfectly. When asked about a song to walk out to we said "something light and cheery". That was all he needed to make the perfect pick.

Matt Kearns played solo guitar music for my wedding ceremony. Overall I was very pleased! Matt has a great repertoire of music. He was very responsive to my requests, but also very capable of offering suggestions and coming up with good music for before and after the ceremony, because I didn't feel the need to dictate every choice myself. He was friendly and professional. He contacted me by phone a month or two before the wedding to check in and make sure we had a good idea of what music he would be playing. In my search for ceremony music, I found that many of the people advertising were either overpriced or lacking in quality/talent-- I was very happy when I found Matt, because he provides lovely music at a very reasonable price.
