Having seen them perform as a quartet, as a trio and as a duo, time and again I am amazed at the talent and versatility of the Golden Scroll Soloists. Their music is a beautiful accompaniment to a wedding ceremony.
In the ancient world, the word "dreamon" meant "to dream" as we think of the word now. It also meant "to make music." I had the pleasure of working with the Golden Scroll Soloists this past weekend for a wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estates in Middletown, CT. No surprise--their music was heavenly! What did surprise us all was the sudden downpour, complete with thunder and lightning. The musicians, the DJ, had gone out to the meadow early to set up. We all huddled in a beautiful little storage shed to wait out the storm. To pass the time, we told stories. Kevin is a fountain of information about wedding music--what works, what doesn't, and why. He is keenly aware that couples can't always articulate what they want the music to accomplish. Fortunately for anyone who deals with him, Kevin is also compassionate and creative. When the ceremony was moved inside the Mansion, the Golden Scroll Soloists set up quickly, filled the room with music, and made a dream come true.
