Golden Scrolls is absolutely incredible. We had a micro wedding at a castle and our wonderful violinist and cellist duo made the whole evening (music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) feel elegant and enchanted.
In addition to their broad song selection (and willingness to learn two additional songs special to us), they arrived perfectly on time, were wonderfully professional, and played beautifully. We especially enjoyed working with Kevin from start to finish because of his attention to detail and terrific service.
Golden Scrolls was truly *instrumental* in making our big day as special and memorable as it was. We’d highly recommend them! -

We originally weren’t going to have live music for our ceremony but I am glad I was convinced otherwise. Kevin and the Golden Scroll Soloists brought our ceremony to another level of elegance. We had a string trio perform prior to our ceremony and during our ceremony. The musicians are excellent and did a wonderful job. Kevin is so great to work with, very accommodating and easy to get in touch with. -

We had the Golden Scroll Soloists perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding at OceanCliff this past April, and they were absolutely incredible! From the very beginning, Kevin was so responsive and made the entire process seamless. He provided curated playlists to make things easy, but also gave us the option to customize by selecting individual songs and listening to clips right on their website—which we really appreciated.
We chose the trio, and it was the perfect fit. We mixed modern songs with some timeless classics, and they brought it all to life beautifully. Our guests kept commenting on how unique and elegant the music was. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and would highly recommend Golden Scroll Soloists to anyone looking for live music for a wedding or special event. The Golden Scrolls provided the perfect sense of regality and magic we had envisioned for our estate-themed wedding. From the moment they began to play, their beautiful music elevated our ceremony and cocktail hour, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for us and our guests.
The entire process was seamless. Leading up to the day, they were incredibly thorough, coordinating with our venue to ensure all technical and logistical details were handled. They were also wonderfully accommodating of a special request: staying an extra 30 minutes to perform an instrumental version of 'A Tale as Old as Time' for our first dance. That moment was pure magic and something we will cherish forever. Our guests were blown away by their talent, and we couldn't agree more. The Golden Scrolls were a truly exceptional choice! -

The Golden Scrolls were an excellent addition to our wedding day (5/31/25)! They added such an elegance to our cocktail hour, and they were nothing short of perfect throughout the ceremony! Kevin was so easy to work with, and he knew exactly how to set his team up for both indoor and outdoor ceremony at Glen Manor, which went off without a hitch. The ceremony music was so beautiful, and they had a wide variety of music on their set list, which our guests loved! Music is super important to me, to the point where long before my now husband even proposed I already had a long list of songs I knew we would play at our wedding. Having the live string quartet from Golden Scroll Soloists was absolutely one of the best wedding planning decisions I made. We decided to go with the ceremony and cocktail hour package and I had the MOST fun hand-picking every single song from our pre-ceremony, to procession and recession and everything during cocktail hour. This was hands down my favorite part of wedding planning. We ended up having the musicians learn 3 new Taylor Swift songs for us for the ceremony and they were all INCREDIBLE. It's hard to pick a favorite, but Wonderland as our exit song gave me ALL the happy feels. Kevin was so responsive and great to work with for choosing new music and customizing my whole playlist, including certain songs that I wanted in particular order right before our ceremony started. He was super well organized and easy to work with and the musicians executed the plan flawlessly. I think these days people go crazy trying to do all these trendy upgrades or what not, like renting lounge furniture or photo booths or whatever but for me, the string quartet was the best investment in our guest experience. It's one of those things that just instantly elevates the whole ambiance, a "quiet luxury" if you will. I would book them again and again and again they absolutely made my day and created such a special experience for our guests. -

Kevin's communication was outstanding throughout the planning process. He was responsive, detailed, and genuinely invested in ensuring the music would perfectly match our vision for the day. This proved invaluable, especially given some unexpected challenges we faced during the ceremony.
What truly sets this quartet apart is their ability to adapt and perform flawlessly even under difficult circumstances. Despite receiving no support or direction from our wedding planner (who was unexpectedly absent during the ceremony), the quartet showed remarkable poise and professionalism. When sudden rain threatened to disrupt the proceedings, they seamlessly adjusted without missing a beat. Even when timeline issues arose - again due to the missing planner - they demonstrated incredible flexibility and kept the musical program flowing beautifully.
The musical performance itself was nothing short of magical. Their renditions of our chosen songs were deeply moving, perfectly capturing the emotion of each moment. The way they performed our most cherished pieces brought tears to many eyes, including our own. Their technical skill was evident in every note, but it was their ability to infuse each piece with genuine feeling that made their performance truly outstanding.
We cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are for their presence on our special day.
For any couple considering live music for their ceremony, we cannot recommend the Golden Scroll Soloists highly enough. -

We had the pleasure of having Golden Scrolls perform at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! From the very beginning, upon hearing their Spotify we knew they were the best, but their communication and organization was outstanding and unmatched compared to any other vendor. Kevin was extremely kind, attentive, and took initiative to ensure all aspects of the ceremony would be taken care of, that we didn’t even realize was important and no one had flagged to us, like a microphone and sound system for our officiant. They were organized and responsive to all our questions, ensuring that every detail was covered and putting our minds at ease. They even gave suggestions and helped us decide between song choices.
Their performance was perfect and the string quartet created an enchanting atmosphere during the ceremony, playing a mix of Bridgerton type, classics, jazz, and elegant pop that perfectly matched our vision. They truly added touch to the moment. During the cocktail hour, their music continued to impress our guests and continue to add value to our aesthetic.

Fantastic string trio! They played our ceremony and cocktail hour, and it was perfect! The music fit the feel, was at just the right volume that it provided beautiful ambiance and background. We hired Golden Scroll Soloists to perform at our wedding and we could not be more happy with their performance and professionalism.
GSS has a very extensive and diverse repertoire to chose from (with links to sample performances!) so you can tailor your music selection to your liking depending upon the event. Their online library selection is full of great options from modern contemporary pieces to classical and everything in between. The day of our wedding, their music was beautifully done and performed to perfection. I mean, live music is always fun but we were simply blown away at the talent Kevin and his group have. We received many compliments during and after the event from our guests about how lovely their performance was; the sound quality was perfect and their execution was flawless. It made the day even more special and elegant.
If you are thinking about hiring a string trio/quartet, or honestly any live music for your event, I would 1000% recommend Golden Scroll Soloists. They are worth every penny, I promise - you will love them! I would give them 6/5 stars if I could, seriously.
They also often have concert performances and events of their own, so if you want to sample their live music before hiring them, or even just want a lovely date night, go see them in concert! You will have a blast! -

When my wife and I saw the catalogue of music that Golden Scroll Soloists had available, I had a good feeling that they'd be flexible enough to handle the requests I had in mind. The truth is that, given the enormous song list they've got, I didn't have to make that many requests, but Kevin took up my requests eagerly all the same (by the way, he was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating). The end result was a rich, full sound that was even better than my wife and I had hoped for. GSS played our prelude, processional, recessional, and cocktail hour music. The air of luxury and sophistication that their music provided was a critical component of the overall vibe we were looking to accomplish, and GSS did it flawlessly. The music was at a perfect volume for our guest count and the space, too. GSS is comprised of real professionals and it shows, from Kevin to each individual musician. Without them our wedding would not have shone as brightly as it did.

Kevin and his team at Golden Scroll Soloists were amazing at our wedding on October 21, 2023!!! I had first heard of Golden Scroll after seeing them perform at my brother's wedding. After input from my brother and reading reviews online, we reached out to Kevin asking if we could book a quartet. Kevin made the entire process of working with him very easy with how organized he is and how straightforward the process for booking him and his team was. The online song form was very helpful with helping us think about what songs we wanted when, and Kevin was very flexible with making song choices for us for the pre-ceremony music when we were having a harder time coming up with options. He had a lot of prior experience working with our venue which also was very helpful in making the wedding a success. My bridal processional song was A Thousand Years and it was truly beautiful. For our recessional song, my husband and I both wanted something that reflected our common interests so we chose the Legend of Zelda Overworld Theme. It was AWESOME!!! We had lots of guests coming up to us afterwards saying how much they loved hearing Golden Scroll, especially the Zelda theme. We still have guests talking to us several months later about how much they loved the string quartet! Kevin and Golden Scroll Soloists were wonderful and we wholeheartedly recommend them!!!Golden Scroll Soloists's reply:

For A Wedding Ceremony, The Perfect Touch
You will not regret adding a string quartet from the Golden Scroll Soloists to your wedding ceremony. From our initial call with Kevin to the outdoor, day-of ceremony at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, CT, working with the Soloists was fun, efficient, and hassle-free. Most importantly, the music sounded beautiful, adding an elegance and serenity to our ceremony that was absolutely what we’d hoped for. We asked Kevin to arrange two songs that were not in the Soloists’ repertoire (yet), including the entrance song. He did so perfectly. From a more practical perspective, Kevin was professional and responsive over email. We recommend the Soloists without reservation and, if we had to do it over, would choose the Soloists again.Golden Scroll Soloists's reply:

A quartet from Golden Scroll Soloists provided the music for our wedding ceremony and it could not have been more perfect. We were lucky in that GSS had played in the chapel before. But I believe they would have been wonderful even without that previous experience. It was very easy to select music and communication throughout the process was very easy. They were already set up when we got there and did not cause any stress on the day - they just took care of everything. And the music was beautiful! We highly recommend GSS for any event! -

First off, working with Golden Scroll Soloists was incredibly easy! Kevin was my point of contact, and he was always responsive and made the planning process simple with an online questionnaire and a planning phone call several weeks in advance of the wedding day. The library of songs that you can choose from is MASSIVE and spans so many different artists and genres. I thought that Golden Scroll Soloists was an incredible value for what they offered, especially after watching some of their videos and hearing how talented their musicians are. What I especially loved was that I had the option to pay a small additional fee for a custom string arrangement. My favorite Taylor Swift song, "This Love", has always reminded me of my the beginning of my relationship with my husband — 1989 came out the year that we met, so it holds a special place in my heart. I thought it would be a beautiful song to walk down the aisle to... I asked Kevin if they could do a custom arrangement, and he said yes. What he delivered was beyond my wildest dreams (heheheh). I could hear the quartet playing from where I was standing before the ceremony, and they sounded amazing. As I walked up and they began to play "This Love", I was so overcome with emotion. It was the perfect song to walk down the aisle to, and I cannot thank them enough for making this moment so special for us. The recessional song, "Edge of Glory" by Lady Gaga, was also perfectly played and an amazing, uplifting way to end the ceremony. Though I sadly was not able to make it to much of the cocktail hour, all I heard were rave reviews from our guests. I am so happy to have worked with the Golden Scroll Soloists, who truly set a romantic tone for our wedding day! -

Kevin and the Golden Scrolls team were so helpful to our wedding - having them as the ceremony music was fantastic and they made the whole thing personal to what music we wanted. We had a violin and a cello and picked out songs for different parts of the pre-party music, including a song that (for a nominal fee) they set up and learned for us!! Of course day of the wedding not everything goes to plan, and the ceremony was a little delayed - no problem they continued to play the backup songs we discussed and all worked out ! They were easy to communicate with and I was so happy we booked them (you will be too!). -

We had a string trio from Golden Scroll Soloists play at our wedding ceremony. My now-husband didn't have strong opinions about ceremony music, so I definitely commandeered this aspect of wedding planning ;) And I'm so happy with how it all turned out!
*Kevin was organized and professional leading up to the big day, and his wife (Elinor) sounded wonderful on the cello...I walked down the aisle to a Bach cello suite.
*They also arranged a new song for our recessional! And while the groom was a bit too tunnel-visioned at the time to notice my cheeky musical surprise, the other Bostonians in attendance (including his brothers/groomsmen) got a kick out of "Dirty Water".
Thanks for providing a wonderful soundtrack to some of our most special moments! -

Kevin and his musicians at Golden Scroll did an amazing job at our wedding! We had them play rock & pop music with some Taylor Swift at the beginning of our ceremony and during the cocktail hour. But as a musician myself, I also threw some custom arrangements at them - they played Cody Fry's "I Hear A Symphony" and Disney's "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" beautifully for our bridal party processional and bridal procession and then flipped a switch and brought the energy for Vulfpeck's "Animal Spirits" during our recessional. I agreed with other musicians in attendance at our wedding when they said our string quartet was fantastic!Golden Scroll Soloists's reply:

I cannot say enough amazing things about Golden Scroll Soloists. They were one of my absolute favorite parts about our entire wedding day. They played classical songs for our pre-ceremony/ceremony and contemporary songs for our cocktail hour. I hired GSS as I was getting married in an old theater and the thought of strings as I walked down the aisle felt so beautiful and perfect. Listening to them play before the ceremony was surreal and I had so many compliments on the string quartet and how many guests got emotional as the music was so beautiful. -

Wonderful!
The Golden Scroll Soloists exceeded all of our expectations! My fiance and I had planned an intimate destination wedding at the Vanderbilt Hotel on November 12th within only 2 month time frame. We both love live music, and learned of the Golden Scroll Soloists based off of positive reviews we found online. We fell in love with their musical arrangements from samplings we had listened to. Kevin was wonderful to work with, and he responded quickly to all of our phone calls and emails. The trio we hired was even able to perform blue grass music for our cocktail hour- it was a hit! -

Truly amazing!
Golden Scrolls was apart of our wedding day and they were such a great touch to our day. Our guests really enjoyed their music before and during the ceremony as well as cocktail hour. Their process was organized when selecting music and a week of the wedding I had great communication about our playlist. The music was played beautifully and it made our day feel romantic. I would have 10 stars if I could - they were truly so amazing! -

Church & Cocktail Hour
The Golden Scrolls played the music for my entire church mass this month and also came to my cocktail hour at my wedding. They were fantastic to work with, helped me to choose my music as well as had very clear and helpful instructions on how to pick. The mass was beyond gorgeous with the addition of their music. They worked with the cantor to prepare and I never had to worry about things being done. They were discrete and a beautiful addition to my day!Golden Scroll Soloists's reply:

Fantastic Music Choice for Ceremony
Highly recommended. We booked a string quartet to perform ceremony music and they did a wonderful job. Marianne was very easy to work with, responsive, and organized. We had a few “off list” song requests which the talented group brought to reality beautifully. Golden Scroll Soloists played at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and they did such gorgeous job for our garden wedding. Marianne and her team were so easy to work with. My now husband and I LOVE instrumental music, and this was one of the most important parts of our wedding to me. GSS had the most extensive repertoire of songs with everything from pop to classical to jazz and folk. They executed our requests perfectly playing Disney and more modern songs as well as a custom request for “My Favorite Things” during the ceremony. I wish we had a longer cocktail hour so we could hear even more of their music! My husband and I booked a string quartet with Golden Scroll Soloists for our September 2022 wedding ceremony and cocktail hour in Newport, RI. Marianne was very communicative and organized with collecting our music preferences and wedding logistics. They have a great and wide selection of songs ranging from the most traditional/classical music to classic rock and modern songs. We requested a lot of classics, oldies, and pop. The music at our ceremony and cocktail hour was exactly what we wanted and it really set the tone light and fun tone we wanted for the night. We obviously didn't get to hear much of the pre-ceremony music played, but our guests had nothing but nice things to say! I found the pricing to be very reasonable for live music, and we would definitely book again! -

We are so happy that we booked Golden Scroll Soloists for our wedding! Service was above and beyond what we could have hoped for! Our primary contact was Marianne. From booking, to planning our original event, to working with us through several postponements, to planning the final event, she was very kind, attentive, and accommodating. The planning website made things very easy and allowed us to listen to samples on YouTube and fill out the wedding worksheet with our final selections. Communication was also excellent and always handled in a timely manner. We had the string quartet play for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and it was a beautiful addition to the day. The musicians are incredibly talented, and they honored all our selections and requests. We can't recommend them enough if you're looking for live music for your event! -

The Golden Scroll Soloists were wonderful to work with and played the most beautiful music at our wedding. I walked down the aisle to their string quartet playing “Halo” and it brought me to tears!
