Marcela was a dream to work with. She took time to hear my concerns on fitting around the waist, bust, and back.
She brought other items to my attention and addressed those, for instance, we removed the existing padding to the bust, shortened the bust area while adding just enough padding to match my small bust proportions. My dress had a lace overlay on a illusion type dress. I felt the dress came too sheer and Marcela searched and found the perfect sheer fabric to match the rest of the dress. The alterations, the additions and the veil fit well and I felt beautiful on my wedding day.
Marcela took extra time to present lace for a veil I had thought to match, however, in the end and after presenting a few lace options I decided on a clean edge veil; which she also made for me. The veil had the perfect length and fullness. If I have any other garments that need alterations I will visit Marcela again.

Mia is amazing and so sweet! She helped fit me in last minute when my other alterations had ruined my dress. She knows what she's doing, gives wonderful suggestions and her work is seamless and gorgeous. Her prices are affordable, but with her work and personality she could def charge more ;) You're in great hands, she will listen and make your vision come true!

Mia was fantastic! She made me a gorgeous veil that complimented my dress perfectly. Less than a month before the wedding I had decided to wear a veil. Mia took the time out of her busy schedule to make my veil and had it to me in less than a week. She even offered to fix my alterations after the bridal store didn't do the best of job on my wedding dress. I definitely recommend Mia and would use her again for any future alterations/creations!

When I think about my wedding day, the first image that comes to mind is me in my wedding dress (next to my husband, of course). You see I had this image in my head ever since I was a little girl of what it would look like, what it would feel like and most of all how I would feel in it.

I purchased a beautiful dress from Winnie Couture, but the thing with this dress was although it was beautiful (and extremely expensive) it was really revealing, too long and in order to get these alterations made I was going to have to spend another $500-$800, and that wasn't going to happen.

Mia had been working for my boss for a few years and I loved her work, I trusted her work. So it was no surprise that when I was in total bridal emergency, she came to my rescue. She met me at work took all my measurements; I did my first fitting, second fitting, final fitting and it was perfect.

It was BEAUTIFUL and most of all I felt BEAUTIFUL in it!!! My favorite thing about Mia is her attention to detail and her strive for perfection. She goes above and beyond. Case and point, she added a little blue flower on the inside of my dress knowing that I would eventually take off my blue shoes and wanted to make sure that I always had 'something blue'. She also gifted me a beautiful hanger for my dress pictures that I used and was perfect for all the shots my photographer took.

Mia is an angel and I consider her to be a great friend. She did such a AMAZING job that I cried at my final fitting because she truly brought the dreams of a little girl to life.

Marcela is the sweetest person to work with and listens to everything you ask for; she literally tailors to your every need. I had a custom veil created by her and it more than exceeded my expectations. Tailoring comes second nature to her, if you get the chance to work with her, you will not be disappointed!

Marcela was beyond wonderful to work with. From the moment we met, she put to ease any anxieties I had about taking my dress from a size 8 to a size 2. She was very thoughtful, thorough and easy to talk to. With out any doubt, I would definitely recommend her. And actually quite a few of my friends have already gone to her - one of my bridesmaids had her dress tailored by her! You're in expert hands!

I was nervous trusting anyone one with my slim-fitting french lace wedding gown and was very lucky to have Marcela do the alterations. She handled my dress with such care and made altered it to make it look like it was made for me. She also custom made my cathedral length french lace veil to match and it was stunning! She's very professional, always prompt about giving you updates and lets you know how the dress can be altered. She listens to what you want and is a breath of fresh air to deal with when you're going through a stressful time with planning everything.

Mia was the MOST incredible tailor I have ever worked with, and I am so happy I worked with her on all of my wedding tailoring. I was (highly) recommended to Mia through Margaret's Cleaners, they could not say enough great things about her - and all of them are true. I first reached out to Mia via text, and she was incredibly responsive even though she was in the middle of Emmy season and she was busy with other clients. During my first fitting, she had the most creative ideas for tailoring my wedding dress & for the bustle, she really brought my whole dress to life and made it fit like a glove. At my last fitting, I brought my rehearsal dinner dress (which was my mom's wedding dress from 40 years ago, so vintage quality) and Mia was able to tailor that within a couple of days, which was a lifesaver! I can not say enough good things about Mia and her work, it is A++++++, I can not recommend her enough :)!
