The Crystal Ballroom at the Mambo Room Cultural Event Center offers a unique setting for weddings in Norfolk, Virginia. This modern event venue offers elegant decor with a fun, upbeat vibe. Love has no restrictions and neither does the Mambo Room. All are welcome.

Basic reception packages are available for the DIY couple, and they also offer inclusive packages for couples looking to save time and stress. Packages include beautiful features such as uplights, ceiling drapery, Chiavari chairs, round tables, dance floor, crystal chandeliers and a 13ft crystal studden wall. Ultimate packages also offer catering, DJ and bar services.

The Crystal Ballroom is an elegant yet distinctive indoor space that maintains the so familiar Mambo Room charm. Absolutely an amazing experience!!!


I could not thank the Mambo Room more. My next event will be here for sure. The staff was absolutely incredible. They made our special day peaceful, easy and go off without an issue insight. The price for everything was very reasonable after looking at other venues that charge you extra to bring in things like the chiavari chairs and drapery. At the last minute we didn't have flowers and The Mambo Room was able to get our flowers without any issues. We had a great time and had zero worries the day of the wedding. Mind you all of this was during COVID. I highly recommend this place and am excited for our next event there!

Last Minute Coordinator, Decorator, Director

Coming into the planning phase of a wedding two weeks prior to the wedding date is beyond stressful but Kianda and her crew made it completely possible. She was extremely professional. She had to merge before covid contracts to the stipulations of our state's and city's guidelines. Where there were gaps, she not only shined light on them but went out of her way to seal ever gap from planning to decorating. She made my Daughter-in-Love wedding dreams come true. Noone knew the journey in which two weeks took us when they walked in and danced the night away. It was stunning!!!!! Thank you Kianda, our bartender, and Mambo Room for the wedding my son deserved and he and his WIFE will use as the New Beginning of their lives together.

Amazing They Are!!!

From start to finish it was amazing!! We decided to get married in 90 days. A change from the original plans and they were still phenomenal!! Everything they said they would do, they did. They stayed in contact with me and my husband. They coordinated with my wedding planner to a t!! The atmosphere was as if they were a part of the family. They filled in all the blanks. I don't ever plan on getting married again, but if I ever need an event hall, I will use the Mambo Room. The evening was magical, and the music...WOW!!

Absolutely amazing

Going into my event I had a vision and because my imagination isn't that great I wans't sure how things would come out, however, once it was time for my event everything came out absolutely AMAZING!!!! Everything was what I expected and more!!

I had my wedding at this venue in June. It was beyond Amazing!!! The venue was beautiful and the everyone involved with the venue was great . They made me feel so loved like they knew me for years. They made it seem so personal. The lighting and ceiling decor were just breath taking. They have their own sound system with mics so we didn’t have to worry I was very impressed. I definitely recommend this venue if you looking for something in the Hampton roads area. They are awesome !!!

These people were my first community when moving to Virginia, so I may be a bit biased....that being said Mambo Room was awesome at the wedding. The vibe was great, everyone was out on the dance floor having a great time. I really couldn't have asked for anything better.

We held our wedding at Mambo Room on November 20, 2016 and could not be more happy with the way things turned out! We had the challenge of planning the wedding from a long distance and the Mambo Room staff accommodated us by holding several planning calls at odd hours and helped us by putting us in touch with other great local Norfolk vendors. The Mambo Room team did everything in their power to make sure that I was not stressed out on the day and could enjoy my wedding. We had a relatively simple wedding and held everything in the large room, but the space can accommodate a much larger wedding than ours was. Although we did not use the first dance services specifically for the wedding, my husband and I have taken many classes there in the past and I can highly recommend their dance instructors as well. I am so happy we decided to have Mambo Room as our venue!

The Mambo Room is a fabulous venue for all your event needs. With ample space and a great location, they provide a fabulous option as a venue. Plus, they are a phenomenal dance studio with fantastic instructors. I have had the pleasure of not only taking private lessons, but sitting in on one of their major events. Nothing but professionalism and fun! A great combination. They are a must whether wanting to learn to dance, or booking them for your next event!

The Mambo Room is a beloved local business and their warm reputation is entirely deserved.

We had our wedding with 130 guests at the Mambo Room, and it went great. Tracy and Fabiana were exceptionally easy to work with and always there when we needed them. We got the package with a DJ, and they set us up with a great guy who had everyone out on the dance floor. We were able to really have the wedding we wanted at the Mambo Room- I can't say enough good things about how supportive they were of working with the caterer and our decorating and timeline.

They made things easy, easy, easy- the location is convenient for out of town guests, they were able to meet with us evenings and weekends, their setup work was flawless, their sound system was easy for us to use, they were clear and simple about costs.
