Carly is the absolute BEST! She went above and beyond to make my wedding day memorable. She is professional yet down to earth loves what she does and it shows. Carly did more then offered and went the extra mile for me literally lol I wld recommend Makeup By Vega to everyone!

Carly was awesome!! From her bubbly personality to her great makeup skills, i am so thankful that i found her! She did an amazing job at my wedding, btween my bridemaids, myself and the mothers, everything was so great, we looked lile princesses;) i really loved that her makeup isnt cakey and thick. Its light and elegent and natural. The prices are super reasonable! Loved it!!!!!!

Carly was absolutely amazing! I've never had my make up done professionally, but from the trial Carly had me completely at ease. The morning of my wedding she came over early to start my mom's and my make up, and it was the most wonderful way to start the day. We really enjoyed talking with Carly, and she did such a beautiful job. I'm notorious for wearing off my make up before lunch most days, but she finished my make up by 12 n., and when I finally turned in for the night at 2 am after hugs and tears and dancing and laughing for hours, it still looked flawless.

Carly is also good about educating you on how to let your skin recover from wearing heavy make up for so long, and really went out of her way to make sure that I wouldn't pay the price in breakouts the next day...and I didn't! I also have skin that can react oddly to cosmetics, but nothing irritated it in the least. I can't recommend her enough, and can't wait for my next big event so I can hire her again!

Carly is AMAZING!!! First, let me start by saying that I very rarely wear more than powder and blush so the idea of having my makeup done for my wedding was intimidating at best. When we first met to go through what I wanted, she listened to what I was really looking for and helped guide me to look my best. She helped me to pick looks that would look great on me and still keep me looking natural. She talked with me the entire time through my trial run and adjusted anything that I wasn't absolutely in love with. She wrote everything down so that there was NO guessing on my wedding day. On our actual wedding day, she was there bright and early with a smile on her face ready to go. She kept my bridal party (and me) really relaxed and laughing. She gave me extra lipstick and touch up makeup so that I could reapply as needed throughout the day. She also was there as we completed our first look pictures so that she could touch up my eyes (I started to cry a bit) to make sure that I looked amazing when I walked down the aisle! She has a fantastic, infectious personality and is an artist with a makeup brush!! I felt like she made me look like the BEST version of myself on my wedding day. I couldn't have been more pleased. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing makeup done.

First off, it took me way too long to write this review but I figure better late than never. Carly is a true artist and professional as a makeup artist. Couple of key points that you must know:

1. CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! When Carly did my practice run, we have a couple of things come up. I liked my makeup but the concealer shined in flash lighting, some of the colors were a little bright for my liking, and the lashes felt really heavy. The important piece is:
A- she did a practice run so we didn't find this out on wedding day. She corrected everything and I was so happy with my makeup.
B- When I told her about the color choices she was gracious, and totally responsive to what I wanted...not what she thought looked best. My comfort was her #1 concern.
C- She went out and found extra light, perfect lashed especially for me and my sensitive eyes. Above and beyond service.

2. PROFESSIONAL and FLEXIBLE!!! Carly did full makeup for me, my mom and a bridesmaid, then she did lashes and eyes for 8 other bridesmaids and eyes for the flower girls. She was accommodating, professional and FAST :) She is hysterical and personable too!

3. VALUE!!! Worth every penny! Even after the 100+ degree day, outdoor wedding and when my husband smashed cake right into my eyes my makeup looked good!! Yes, he is the worst LOL! I had to pull off my lashes, cause there was cake in them. My makeup held up.

I would hire Carly for any makeup needs in the future and I have recommended her for several friends weddings (which she did) since!

When I think of all the things that went well on my wedding day, I always think of Carly. Not only is she professional and very talented, she's also VERY fun. The stress of nine girls getting ready in a tiny hotel room completely melted away when Carly and her assistant arrived. (That's saying a lot. I was a high-strung bride for every second of eight months leading up to that moment.) They set up the makeup chairs, turned on the music, and we had a GREAT time. All my bridesmaids commented it was the most relaxed they've ever felt before a wedding and everyone just loved her.

Carly was also very good about making sure each girl was happy with their look. She'd have us look in the mirror and make sure we liked what was going on before she proceeded. And if you didn't like your lip color? Fine! Good thing you looked. Let's find one you love. Not crazy about your eye shadow? Let's get that changed! "You're going to be in a lot of pictures today," she'd say to a bridesmaid. "We gotta make sure you like how you look!" I'm not sure what's more impressive...her makeup skills or her attitude. She kept us laughing the whole time.

The day wouldn't have been the same without her. I feel so lucky I found her and had her company on my wedding day.

Carly was fantastic! She made all my girls and me look fabulous as well as being really fun and laid back which is exactly the atmosphere you want when getting ready on your special day. I would hire her again any day and definitely recommend!

Carley was fabulous. She really made me look, and feel beautiful on my wedding day. I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for make up for their special day. Not only was she amazing, she was fun to work with, and very affordable a few of the other options I looked at in the Virginia beach area were way pricier, and did not do as good of a job. I had 3 different trials, for 3 different make up artist in the area they could not compare to Carley, and the price point was way more.

Make-Up by Vega made me beautiful for my wedding! I truly can't say anymore than that. I'm a girl who showers and walks out the door 99 mornings out of 100 - sans makeup. I've never felt more beautiful or felt better to have the perfect day to start the rest of my life!
