My name is Rosa Alcantara, I am a professional makeup artist based in Novi, Michigan freelancing all over the Metro Detroit area for over 7 years. I specialized in natural , glowy airbrushed looks.

​My passion in life is bringing out the natural beauty in all my clients. I love to bring out the hidden confidence within each client and help each person see their true, unique beauty.

​The love for my career as a Makeup Artist is far deeper than simply just liking makeup or loving how it looks after applying it. What moves me most is when I am able to influence other people's emotions.

I am focused on the impact I am making on the inside, more-so than what my artistry skills are creating on the surface. I love Art and also have a strong eye for detail.

Amazing!! Make up lasted through A LOT of rain

I would 100% recommend Rosa to any bride. My sister found her for her wedding in 2019 and I knew at that point I would use her too. She is so professional and knowledgeable. She arrived 15 minutes early and had everything set up and ready for our start time of 9am. She knew I was a little anxious about timing and I requested an assistant about a month before and she was able to pull that off. The assistant helped prep everyone’s skin and did a few make up looks. I had Rosa do airbrush but she does offer traditional as well. I added eyelashes to all girls too. Rosa made my 93yo grandma feel included with light make up and making her not feel too overdone. check out her instagram for looks she has done! @makeup_by_rosaa

Rosa is the best!!!

I had a pretty diverse bridal party, and Rosa did such an amazing job with all of them! She is so great at making you glow while still embracing your natural beauty. My makeup lasted all night and she made me feel so beautiful!

Hire Her Now!

Rosa is the best! I did a hair and makeup trial at her house two months before the big day and I told her what I did not like. She delivered exactly what I wanted on my wedding day! I absolutely loved the hair I’ve always dreamed for my wedding and the makeup definitely brightened me up! The communication with her was top notch. One single biggest concern of mine when it comes to wedding vendors is communication, even bigger than their ability to do their job. The impact of lack of communication on your mental wellbeing is nothing you need in prepping a wedding. Rosa absolutely took that stress away. Her products were great, leaving me feeling comfortable throughout the evening. She also left me a touch up packet that was very detail oriented. I would recommend her to all the brides to be!

Rosa is an angel!

Rosa was such a delight to work with during my wedding season. We did my first bridal trial and I (not having enough sense for what I actually wanted, no fault of hers!) requested another trial. Both were incredible, but Rosa truly captured what I pieced together. My make-up looked fresh for the entire wedding day (~12 hours). My two trials and bridal make-up day of were some of the most soothing moments I had during the planning season. She is kind, so personable, and truly cares about her work and art. I would hire Rosa again without any hesitation. Thank you again, Rosa! :)

Rosa is the best makeup artist!

Rosa was absolutely incredible! She was timely, had the best attitude which made everyone feel comfortable, she was creative, flexible, and she knew what looked amazing on everyone. I come from a bilingual family and some of my guests did not speak English. They were still able to get their dream look because she is JUST THAT GOOD. Rosa uses products of the upmost quality and my makeup lasted my entire night. She made me look so natural and enhanced my features-- the makeup felt light and my look was everything I wanted. I cannot recommend her enough. I have multiple friends who have been asking to book her because of the quality of her work. 100/10 recommend (yes, 100)!!!

All around amazing!!

We hired Rosa for our wedding to do mine and my bridal party's makeup. She was amazing!! From the start, she was super responsive and organized. She worked with me and was really flexible when it came to booking my bridal trial. She showed up on time, was professional, and her work is amazing! Me and my girls all felt so beautiful and the makeup wore great ALL day (10+ hours). None of us had any issues with eyelashes coming loose or makeup wearing off. We all felt so comfortable!! I would definitely recommend Rosa to anyone looking for a makeup artist for their big day!

The best makeup artist!!

I am so happy that I booked Rosa to do me and my bridal party's makeup on my wedding day! She is so talented and did such a wonderful job really listening to what everyone was looking for and making us all feel so beautiful. Plus, Rosa is just such a lovely person and so much fun to work with - I can't wait for another opportunity to work with her in the future!

Best makeup artist!

Rosa was the best d the best! She makes the experience very enjoyable, she did make up for 6 ppl including, bride, MOB and bridesmaids, and we all looked AMAZING! If you’re looking for a very professional vendor, and the best makeup artist; you should definitely get in touch with Rosa… you won’t regret it.

Talented and professional

In short, Rosa was fantastic for my wedding day. She was punctual, thorough, and did beautiful work. She communicated well leading up to the big day, working with me to understand the desired look. On the actual day, she was on time despite a serious snowstorm (literally everything else was behind schedule but her!), and conducted herself very professionally. Rosa really listened to my preferences and did the look I was hoping for. I loved my glowy bridal look! She also addressed all my concerns with makeup like flashback in photos, and transferring onto my mask (the wedding took place during the height of Omicron). I had no issues with the makeup staying on literally all day. Even for the evening photoshoot, it still looked fresh. Can’t recommend her enough!
