Madalyn was the perfect photographer for our wedding. She helped calm much of my pre wedding anxieties by giving me a timeline, picking a location for pictures and a backup indoor location. Madalyn made both myself and my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera and shared some magazine worthy sneak peek pictures within the week after the wedding.

Madalyn was an outstanding photographer from start to finish! It was clear Madalyn was the right decision from the beginning. After sending in our inquiry, she got back with us right away and included a draft timeline and personal video. She was prompt, personable and I could tell right away it would be a breeze working with her! Madalyn made the planning process stress-free by sending out emails and keeping us on track with our online portal. She is very thorough and type A, making sure all your photography dreams come true!

It was a very hot and uncomfortable day for our engagement shoot, but Madalyn immediately put us at ease and helped us feel confident in front of the camera. As we got closer to the wedding, Madalyn did a great job in helping me with the wedding day timeline. She worked with me to make sure that all the “must have” photos were identified and that we scheduled enough time so that we wouldn’t feel rushed on the big day. Similar to the engagement shoot, Madalyn was able to put us at ease on the day of the wedding. From the moment Madalyn arrived at the bridal suite, she was on a mission. Not only does she have the best personality and is easy to work with, she takes her work seriously and the photos speak for themselves.

The photo gallery Madalyn delivered was absolutely gorgeous. I will cherish these photos forever and look forward to getting them in an album soon!

Like many other couples who planned a large 2020 wedding, we had to postpone our original wedding date. As we approached our new date, we decided to opt for a small, family-only ceremony in our backyard. Since our original photographer now lives in RI and I didn't want to make her fly out for a short ceremony, I started looking for a local photographer 6 weeks before the big day. Little did I know I'd find the perfect photographer for us as a couple and someone who could easily roll with the punches of a covid-era wedding.

Madalyn's work is INCREDIBLE, and she was so amazing and easy to work with. I kept saying how it felt like we'd invited one of my friends to take our photos because you made the experience so much fun and put us both at ease. That's especially significant for me since I'm an extremely anxious, awkward person. :) She navigated my complex family dynamic with ease and grace and kept us laughing the whole time! She even got some wonderful photos of us with our beagle, Scout, who was distracted and howling the ENTIRE time. :) I would definitely recommend Madalyn to anyone looking for a fabulous wedding photographer.

My wedding was almost a year ago so I'm a bit late to the reviewing game, but I LOVED working with Madalyn. She was super flexible and very reasonably priced. She was very organized and experienced. She met me and the girls at the salon for photos and helped us stay on track and knew what to do when a couple of hair appointments ran late and when later in the night, family members weren't where they were supposed to be (despite having a schedule sent to them *coughDadcough*) and when we
had to rearrange the schedule because speeches and dinner took too long. She and the second photographer were truly amazing.
She was totally non-intrusive and photos during the event happened very naturally. I've seen some companies that literally blocked everyone else's view during cake cuttings and first dances and was so glad Madalyn wasn't like that.

She did a great job with retouching (I have a skin condition on my arms). I got tons of photos from her after the event and they were so beautiful and everyone loved them.

Madalyn was the first vendor I hired, and I'm so glad I went with her as our photographer! Throughout our year long engagement, she was so helpful during the wedding planning process. She made my husband and I so comfortable in front of the camera, and we heard the same feedback from our bridal party and guests. She was able to keep everything on schedule, and sent us photos the Monday after our Saturday wedding. I cannot wait to use her for all photography needs in the future, and highly recommend her to anyone in Michigan!

Madalyn was probably the best photographer we could have asked for, it was like having a friend instead of a vendor do our photos. Her photos obviously speak for themselves but she was so incredibly organized and professional throughout the entire process, she got us our timeline and I was able to use that to build the rest of our day of schedule around it. She communicated early and often and always made sure she got the list of required photos we wanted so we didn’t miss anything. Since she also hadn’t photographed at our venue before, she set up her own meeting with the venue before the wedding to get a tour and walkthrough so it wasn’t a surprise on the day of the wedding. She was assertive when she needed to be to wrangle our families for photos but otherwise was extremely flexible in getting shots if the plans changed! Especially since our wedding was late in the winter and we decided against a first look, she made sure to have a lighting assistant on hand to help coordinate additional flash and we got some great evening photos, and the second shooter who helped out had some awesome ideas for important shots too! Also, she got us engagement photo sneak peeks within 24 hours and got us our wedding sneak peeks (40+ photos!) within 48 hours of our wedding. Madalyn used the engagement photo session to get to know us and she just does a great job of capturing candid and genuine emotion and just made the entire planning experience and day of photos so comfortable and fun. Madalyn was the best photographer ever. She was so helpful, and willing to meet with me in person to iron our all the details. It felt more like a friend helping us than a vendor. I was so nervous about the photos initially, but after doing engagement photos with Madalyn, I knew they would be beautiful. Madalyn's photos did not disappoint, and they are stunning. Our friends and family also commented that she was everywhere at the wedding, making sure every detail was documented.

Pictures are awesome even with limited time at church, family members running late and rain. Loved that most of the photos were unobtrusively taken without posing and reposing moments which really allowed us to relax and focus on our day.

Madalyn was AMAZING. I would work with her again in a heart beat. I will continue to recommend her to EVERYONE I know. She not only kept things moving according to schedule, but captured every moment as it was happening - every photo shows real emotions. Madalyn is amazing! I found her on The Knot, and the second I saw her website I knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding! From our very first meeting, literally 6 days after we got engaged, I felt so comfortable with her. She is so easy to work with, and her photos speak for themselves. For our engagement pictures, I gave her a general idea of locations I was interested in. She took my ideas and ran with it and we got some amazing pictures. Her and her husband Josh were working, but it was more like hanging out with friends for a few hours. We felt so comfortable with them. Leading up to my wedding, Madalyn kept in great contact and made sure all my questions were answered. She helped me create the day of timeline, and was totally fine with my admittedly too long "must have" list. On my wedding day, she went into work mode and made sure everything looked perfect.
