As a vendor, I work along side some of the best wedding professionals across the state. Fortunately, I've been able to work with Patrick for quite a few weddings, and I'm blown by the details I receive for each of them. It's the little things that some may not include you on, and he makes sure that information has been relayed so there's no chance of a communication error. Their experience shines through with every question they ask, every tiny detail they cover, every inevitable mistake they fix, and every conversation you have with them. Our wedding day would not have been the absolutely seamless hit it turned out to be if it hadn't been for their diligence and innovation. They made sure everyone involved did their job, everything was set up as agreed upon, and when there was an opportunity to make something better, they did.

For example, our wedding cake (from a vendor I will never trust again) came in looking like a hot mess. We asked for a dark blue to creamy white ombre (bottom to top). When I tell you it was the color of a blue crayon and a very haphazardous ombre, I am not exaggerating. In my eyes, it was a total aberration. And without even asking, they uplit the abomination so that the hideous blue would not be the focus, but the top might pop more. That defines for me the quality of absolute service and understanding. There was something about that move that calmed me (even though seeing it up-close I wanted to throw the cake out the window). Patrick and Glen knew that the cake vendor had not delivered and did their best to make it something I could live with. It meant a lot!

They even kept my Hispanic family moving through function events on time– a Herculean task. I would hire them again to plan another absolutely unforgettable and enjoyable event.

I'm not sure our wedding would have turned out as perfect as it was without Patrick. He was organized, honest, and an absolute delight to work with. His knowledge of local vendors is extensive, and his ability to to understand our vision helped make our day unforgettable. There is no better planner out there. Everything on our big day ran smoothly, all thanks to Patrick.

My wedding was an actual dream come true, and it would not have been without Patrick and Magnum Opus. As a bride with a very specific and untraditional vision, but a hands-off family and bridal party, I fully leaned on Patrick to be my one & only partner in planning and he went above and beyond from Day 1.

Patrick fully understood the assignment, he embraced all my loose ideas & made them concrete and beautiful, and he advocated for us every step of the way. He offered useful advice where needed but was never overbearing and seemed to instinctually understand what felt “us”. We did not have the largest budget for an NYC wedding but he never made it seem like an issue and was able to guide us on how to spend and where to save. He’s also just genuinely fun and funny and cool.

I had almost no exact inspiration photos to share, just general ideas of the vibe I hoped to capture, and walking into the venue felt like walking right into the day I was imagining. Our wedding went off without one single hitch (or if there was one, he hid it expertly) and was an entirely stress-free, beautiful experience.

Magnum Opus was the best thing we invested in for our wedding. I have already recommended Patrick to every engaged person I know — I truly believe he’s among the best in NYC.

Hiring Patrick Butler as my partial planner was by far the BEST decision I made for my wedding!! I was a little naive when I first started the wedding planning process. I didn't think I needed a planner or partial planner. My mom & I were both organized and liked planning so I saw no need. Thankfully my venue required the minimum of a "day of planner" which seemed to no longer exist post COVID. I started researching & interviewing planners. I knew within the first 3 minutes of talking with Patrick that he was the one. My mom and fiancé both said, "You can't put a price tag on the peace of mind knowing your day was going to be executed exactly how you wanted it". They were so right and Patrick is the only person you should consider to PERFECTLY execute your dream wedding... If I were to put a price tag on it, Patrick is worth at least 10x of what he charges. He is incredibly talented, organized, and his attention to detail is flawless. The planning process was so easy with no stress thanks to him. He helped navigate hiring vendors & the steps of planning a wedding. We had monthly check-ins which turned into weekly meetings after our 30 day walkthrough. 6 weeks out from the wedding he took control (which I thought would be difficult for two "type A" women like my mom and I but rest assured, Patrick had it covered). I cannot speak highly enough of Patrick Butler from Magnum Opus Events. From the pre-wedding planning, to everything he did in the weeks, days leading up to the wedding, and during the day of.. Patrick made everything stress free and flawless. If you want a perfect dream wedding, you need to hire Patrick Butler as your planner!

Patrick and Glenn were an excellent job with coordinating and planning our wedding. They were very organized and keep everything running smooth throughout our wedding day. They also advocated for us throughout the wedding process and on our wedding day. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I interviewed a handful of people to be our wedding planner and when I spoke to Patrick the decision was a no brainer. We could not have been more please. He seamlessly produced the most perfect wedding we could have ever asked for, not one thing went wrong. Patrick Butler was our planner for our wedding at Trump Winery. He was extremely prepared, organized, and experienced. He knew everything and everyone so that we never had to do much research.
