SMP EVENTS is a boutique wedding planning company specializing in wedding coordination and non-traditional weddings in NY/NJ and beyond.

My wedding coordination services are detailed, hands-on and So much more than "Day-of". Working closely with you as the date approaches, I help organize and fine-tune the details you have so carefully planned. Your wedding day timeline is created, shared with all vendors and VIP's, and fully manage throught your Big Day so you can fully enjoy every moment.

Top-notch event planner - highly recommend

Susan was recommended to me by the Antique Loft in Hoboken, the venue where I recently had my daughter’s Quinceañera. From our very first phone conversation, I knew that Susan was going to be the perfect event planner for my daughter’s event. Susan is professional, responsive, personable, and very organized. She collaborated very well with the caterer, DJ, florist, and photographer. She went out of her way to make me, the stressed-out parent, feel completely supported. Everyone at the event commented on how smoothly everything ran, and how Susan was on top of everything. She gave thoughtful and well-researched advice and guidance when I asked for it, but was always respectful of our unique cultural traditions. I highly recommend Susan – she is an invaluable asset to anyone looking for help planning and executing an event!

NYC wedding

On September 30th, Susan helped plan and managed a very complicated NYC home wedding for me. It was six hours long with guest arrivals and food changing every two hours. It went off flawlessly mainly due to Susan’s excellent event coordination. I have worked with Susan many times over many years and she always excels!

The best investment for big day

Susan was hands down the best decision I made for my wedding. She was amazing and kept me calm and out of the fray so I could enjoy the day. My venue, albeit beautiful and personalised, was challenging to work with and had a lot of moving pieces. Susan worked with them and ensure that my vision came to life.
There were hiccups with bad traffic, late vendors and guests but all of this was handled seamlessly by Susan. She kept me informed when necessary but for the most part handled these hurdles without me knowing until after the fact (when my bridal party filled me in on all the goss)
Truely, you will not regret hiring Susan and her team. I can't speak higher of her.

Susan is amazing

I don’t think I could properly convey how incredible Susan is. My husband and I don’t know what we would have done without her. She was kind, organized, thoughtful and such a great person to work with. Our wedding was perfect because of her. If there was an issue throughout the day she would come to us with the problem and then options to fix it. Our whole bridal party was impressed with her and kept saying “what would we do without Susan” I’m not exaggerating! We reached out to Susan pretty last minute and she jumped right in and I’m so grateful for her. I could not recommend Susan enough. Having her around was fun and I just can’t believe how AMAZING she was.

A must have!

I hired Susan for day of coordination “with a little extra help” for my wedding. We started working together about two months out. She helped me find the best quote for my transportation. She went above and beyond on the day of the wedding. I was so happy to have her!

Thoroughly spectacular

We used SMP Events for a non-wedding weekend-long series of events, and every detail was thoroughly spectacular. Susan held my hand through a forest of planning, and took the helm with my full confidence and trust in her taste and superb capability. She is an actual gem: smart and perceptive, sensitive, responsive, and the services she provides: every aspect of planning, procuring, advising, and just "Making It Happen." A calming presence on your wedding day!

Susan is an absolute gem to work with! From our very first interaction, she was responsive, thoughtful, organized, and dependable. She was always happy to hop on the phone to talk through any questions I had throughout the planning process and was quick to share insight and ideas. On our wedding day, she handled any and all last minute hiccups with grace and discretion (the elevator to our venue space broke right before the ceremony but Susan worked with the venue to swiftly figure out a solution) and she was a huge help in making sure myself, my husband, and our families and wedding party all enjoyed the day! She truly went above and beyond and we couldn't have done it without her!

Amazing experience! Susan is priceless!

We really can't say enough great things about Susan. We had worked hard on planning our postponed wedding but we knew we needed someone to help us tie together all of the loose ends, facilitate communication with the venue, help all of our vendors work smoothly together and ensure that we enjoyed every moment of the day itself. Susan did all that and more! She was reassuring from the first moment of our initial video call and she made everything so organized and seamless in the month leading up to our big day. She thought of everything and went above & beyond the duties we first agreed on. Our long-awaited wedding was better than we ever could've imagined, and we have her to thank! If you're wondering if a day-of coordinator is worth it, trust us- you'll be SO happy to have chosen her!!

She made it happen!

Susan was so lovely to work with! She was organized, insightful and had so many good ideas to share. I got married on a mountainside and she brought it all together and made magic! She even took a button off her coat to give to me to sew onto my shawl (it was a winter wedding). Susan is a creative thinker and a stellar wedding planner. I have no regrets about hiring her and am thrilled with how our big day turned out!
