We live right down the street from Lyndell’s, and after eating their goodies for years when it came time for our wedding cake, we knew we had to pick them!!! There were so many flavors to choose from during the cake tasting, all delicious of course, and everyone was so accommodating and easy to work with. The cake was absolutely gorgeous, arrived early, and everyone kept complimenting how delicious the cake was!! There were no leftovers at all! We would so highly recommend Lyndell’s for your wedding cake!!!

We chose Lyndell's for our Cambridge wedding and we're so happy we did! We had been to the bakery quite a few times before (they have great black&white cookies, and pastries!) so when it came to choosing our wedding cake, it was a breeze! Karen and the staff had us in for a tasting and we knew right away that we wanted something different, and we ended up getting a three-tier white cake covered in coconut. And it looked BEAUTIFUL. I brought in a photo and they nailed it! They were also super responsive as I worked with them to choose a big enough cake stand through Etsy. They delivered the cake to the venue it was not only perfect, but the guests said they had never had better wedding cake! We were too busy dancing to get to eat our slices :( but Karen let us know we can come in on our 1 year anniversary to get a complimentary mini-cake :) Also, for the quality, the cake was super affordable (less than half the cost of other places we looked in Cambridge and Boston).

All we got were compliments on our wedding cake! It really was delicious. We met with Karen Galatis who sent us home with a very generous cake tasting and upon first bite, we knew we had found our cake vendor. Their website provided us with lots of decorating ideas and what was delivered was just as we had discussed. They were friendly and professional from start to finish. I would highly recommend getting your wedding cake (or other special event dessert) from Lyndell's.

Lyndell's provided us with awesome cupcakes at a reasonable price! No these aren't your trendy, stiff cupcakes. Just perfectly sweet, light and airy! Tons of compliments and not a single cupcake left:). Great local vendor!!

Even though we were getting married 2 hours north of Lyndell's Bakery, we had to have our wedding cake from them. It is our favorite bakery in Boston and they have the most delicious white cake and frosting that we had to have it. Karen was amazing to work with and she had us in to taste everything in the bakery. We fell in love with the raspberry filled white cake with white frosting. It was made to perfection and they shipped it all the way up and delivered it right on time. The design of the cake was beautiful and made to our exact specifications. Karen was great to work with because instead of pushing us towards an expensive 4 tier cake, she recommended the 2 tier with sheet cakes. This allowed for our budget to go a lot further. The reviews we got from the guests about the cake were 5 stars! Everyone loved it and for those who live in Boston, I think Lyndell's just acquired some new customers. Thanks again Karen! You rock!

Lyndell's was great! I first ordered cupcakes from Sweet in Boston but discovered that they only deliver from 11-2pm daily, which was a problem because I needed the cupcakes at 4:00pm. Even though I talked to the manager and explained that I would like 15 dozen cupcakes for a wedding and that we would pay extra for delivery, he couldn't do a 4:00pm delivery, so I looked around the area for other cupcake/cake places and found Lyndell's! I'm SO glad that we went with them. The owner Karen is a really awesome lady, she works from 7am-1pm every day so call early to be able to talk with her.

I ordered 15 dozen cupcakes and a 7"-diameter cutting cake from Lyndell's for under $300 (Would've been around $600 for Sweet). The cupcakes and cake did not taste like typical gross wedding cake at all, they were all moist and super delicious. We ordered a variety of cupcakes: white cake (with chocolate frosting), chocolate cake (with vanilla frosting), carrot cake (with cream cheese frosting), and red velvet cake (with cream cheese frosting?). Lyndell's doesn't normally do carrot cake (they did about a year ago and then the chef who made those left so they stopped making carrot cake) but when I explained that my husband and I really love carrot cake, Karen said that she could make a few carrot cake cupcakes for us!

For the cutting cake, I wanted it plain with swirls and dots, and Karen did an amazing job decorating. It looked very elegant and tasted amazing. :)

The cupcakes and cake were all delivered undamaged to the reception place, on time. Delivery charge was only $15 which was awesome.

I'm very happy that we ordered from Lyndell's. Plus they have a Central Square branch now that makes yummy baked goods and sandwiches (and free wifi!)

Lyndell's provided cupcakes for my wedding in July 2010. I had 200 chocolate and yellow cupcakes decorated with purple hydrangea frosting. They were so beautiful and delicious! Karen was great to work with and the value couldn't be beat.

Karen at Lyndell's is amazing! I called Karen and she organized a tasting for me a few days later. Unfortunately my fiance (at that time) ended up having to work, so Karen wrapped up everything to go so that we could share it later! She worked with me on a budget that was manageable. We had 275 guests! The display cake looked great (tier cake and then we had a few sheet cakes) and it tasted amazing! We had all different types: yellow cake with chocolate frosting and rasberry filling (my absolute favorite), chocolate cake with white frosting and rasberry filling, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. . . So good! Delivery went smoothly. Karen had given me her cell number in case I needed to get in touch. She was wonderful and Lyndell's did a fabulous job!

The customer service had it's ups and downs. On one hand the woman we worked with was very nice. On the other, we paid $125 for delivery and the cake was tipped sideways and delivered that way. Our venue had to fix it. And five days before the wedding, the woman called and asked if we were going to drop off ribbon and a topper even though we already had. She eventually found it. The cake was delicious though.
