Serena is a goddess when it comes to photography. Her love of light gives her photography a natural, but almost fantastic feel. On our first meeting with Serena my now husband and I felt so comfortable with her, which is saying a lot as we're of the shy, nerdy persuasion. She didn't pressure us into the sale (which, believe me, is uncommon in this process), and her previous work spoke for itself. Her use of light was the primary reason for us contacting her, but her calm, professional and fun manner sealed the deal. The day of the wedding was crazy (the schedule broke down before the ceremony even started) but Serena worked with the bridal party to get shots taken whenever she could. Her attention to detail is a treasure as I was overwhelmed that day but I'll have her portraits to remind me of what actually happened. I recommend Serena 100%.

Serena and her team were friendly, personable and willing to accommodate us (even with my very large family)! I was a little tentative about having someone come in from out of town to do our destination wedding, but I'm SO glad that we did. Serena covered our wedding like no one else could have. Serena and Chad are absolutely amazing. They are so easy to get along with and put you - and everyone involved in your day - instantly at ease with their humor and kindness. We had a lot of photo-averse guests who warmed up to the camera and Serena was able to capture beautiful images of these typically camera-shy people! The results of our engagement session and wedding day are the most stunning, perfect images - I couldn't have dreamed up anything better. Hiring Serena and Chad as our photographers was easily the best decision we made in wedding planning. Not only are they professional, responsive, and wildly talented, they are the NICEST couple and really put my mind/nerves at ease on the wedding day itself. I know our photos will be magazine-quality (because I have already seen a sneak peek!) They also spent ample time with us for our engagement photos and made sure we hit all the locations we wanted. Love by Serena was recommended to me by my friend who had used them for her wedding. This husband and wife duo made this sometimes cumbersome and overwhelming process easy and fun. From the first time we spoke with Serena we knew that she was the right photographer to capture the most important day of our young lives. Despite planning events for a living, the stress of choosing vendors had been getting to us. We contacted quite a few photographers but nothing felt right. All tension was gone when we met Serena and her husbund Chad. She listens. She cares. Her passion for her art is obvious and her natural talent can be seen in every image she captures.
Our first interaction with Serena was planning an engagement shoot in Philadelphia. As we emailed back and forth it became obvious that she takes her craft seriously. She brought to the table a considerable amount of thought and research. What I expected to be a few shots turned into a city-wide adventure planned to perfection. The shoot, it turns out, helped the both of us. We got a better feel for Sarena's style, and in turn she was able to better understand our personalities. Serena's approach isn't simply a one-size-fits-all or a cookie cutter mentality. She takes the time to learn more about her clients so she can better capture their personalities. At no point did we feel like clients, however. Serena is one of the most personable and genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She instantly made us feel comfortable and this was evident in her pictures.
The relationship building from our engagement shoot made our wedding day that much better. Despite only meeting once due to living far from our wedding site, when we met with her on our big day we already felt like old friends. We had a hundred and one things to worry about that day, I can safely say, our photographer was never one of them. When disaster did strike (a slight wardrobe malfunction on the grooms behalf), the only words we heard were "There's no need to panic, I've got this taken care of," and sure enough from his side Chad pulled out a needle and thread and righted the wrong. From there, the rest is history which I am glad to say was perfectly captured in pictoral form by Serena and Chad.
They had scouted our location. They knew the best places to shoot. Our planned photos were executed with precision and care. During our reception they captured the energy of the dance floor and the emotion of our speakers.

Serena and Chad are not only fantastic at what they do, they are passionate about what they do are truly caring people. They are fun to be around and have great ideas. What I loved most about working with them is that they truly cared (and still care) about my husband and I as clients and people. We have formed a great friendship with them. My husband is in the military, and our date changed twice before we knew for sure what day it would be on! By that time, Serena had already booked another event in a different state for the DAY before our wedding. I was devastated of course, knowing I could never find another photographer that I liked as much as her.
She was so understanding of the situation, and agreed to make it work, despite the scheduling conflict. Planning a military wedding can be rather stressful, and it was just so great to work with a vendor who was willing to be flexible and help make our day so great!
...And don't even get me started on the actual photography. Flawless.
