For starters, Liz is phenomenal. My wife and I were at our wit's end when looking for a wedding photographer. We knew we were in good hands when we found Liz and had our first video conference call with her. The wedding pictures were so fantastic that they rekindled our experience and made us wish we could relive them. She helped to make this memory all the more special for us. But this is just the end result.

Liz is the right choice for you if you are very flexible and appreciate natural settings instead of rigid cues and poses! She noted this in our first meeting, and my wife and I breathed a sigh of relief. Capturing the natural moments helped us to envision the experience with our family and friends, considering that we lost precious loved ones before our wedding date. All in all, the process was lovely. Liz was absolutely prepared, with her assistant, to cover every angle and capture beautiful moments that we would not have anticipated. It was incredible to see how structured she is with planning and worked with us every step of the way with the timeline, shot list, special requests, and speed in which the online gallery was made available to us. In fact, speaking about responsiveness, there isn't a day when we would send an email and she would not get back to us within hours or a little later but within the same day.

And, I must talk about our engagement session. My wife and I had a private engagement years ago. However, we decided to have this session added to our package and are glad we did it. Liz is so fun and full of life, which made her a great fit as our photographer! She is not only an amazing photographer but also an amazing person. She took our engagement photos and our wedding photos. The engagement photos were perfect because it gave us a chance to get to know her better and also to get more comfortable taking professional photos. We were also able to figure out which poses we liked, our "good" sides, and more!

On our wedding day, Liz helped us let loose and get comfortable. I have never considered myself to be a photogenic person and usually hate photos of myself but I was so comfortable that I stopped worrying about how I might look in photos. And it turns out I love all of the photos she took of us! We were able to be our goofy selves and Liz really captured us in candid and carefree moments. Some of our favorite photos are the silly and playful ones that aren't as posed.

I love looking back at our photos and remembering what a perfect day it was. I know we'll have many more amazing milestones going forward and I fully intend to hire Liz for those events as well!

Liz is an outstanding photographer--she shot our wedding and our engagement session (for which she actually helped us find a venue) and she is so, so talented at finding and facilitating shots that feel individualized and real. Liz is a great collaborator in that she is so willing to bounce around ideas for more shots and worked with suggestions we gave her. She also does an excellent job marshalling, say, family members who don't like having their photos taken or don't really know how to pose. Her turnaround times with the preview and the final set of photos was quite prompt considering it was December (a hectic month for many). We would wholeheartedly recommend Liz for weddings, portraits and events, and we're going to hire her to do a portrait session when we finally get a dog.

We could not have asked for a better photographer than Liz Stewart. Weddings come with countless stressors, but our photos were certainly not one of them. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Her direction is as fantastic as it is laid back. She did a fantastic job of making us feel comfortable and confident as her camera clicked away. She made putting together a shot list wonderfully easy, listening to every moment we wanted to capture as well as suggesting plenty of shots we had not considered. My mom made the wedding bouquets and table arrangements – so getting those details pictures was important to my husband and I. Even her knowing to get the details of the church and ceremony really makes our wedding photos so special. She made sure to familiarize herself with the Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony to make sure she captured the key moments. The variety of pictures we got for both our engagement and wedding was great – there were so many excellent shots that picking favorites for an album was nearly impossible! We were quite pleased to have this “problem.” Her eye for the best shots is clear in her work. The online gallery she uses is great for viewing, marking favorites, and is easy for sharing with others. We cannot recommend Liz Stewart enough. She captured the happiest and most important day of my husband’s and my life with beauty second only to the experience itself.

Liz is an incredible photographer, and wonderful person to have on your team as you plan your wedding. She was so supportive when our plans began to change due to the coronavirus pandemic. Liz is professional and prompt, and did an excellent job keeping our wedding on schedule and capturing every meaningful moment.

Liz also took our engagement photos at the tidal basin during peak bloom of the cherry blossoms. She captured the natural beauty of that area so perfectly, and made us feel very comfortable in front of her camera. We will cherish those photos for many years to come.

Liz is amazing! From the initial e-mail correspondence she was very professional and organized. We hired her to photograph our courthouse wedding and then moved to a second location to take photos with our dog. When Liz found out my wife wasn't planning to bring a bouquet, she asked what colors my wife liked and made one - that small touch made a huge difference in the pictures and making our special day feel like a "real" wedding. When our wedding officiant was late for our appointment, Liz suggested we step outside and take some pictures while we waited. On her way in she had noticed some beautiful trees in bloom that made a beautiful backdrop. She is an artist and is always thinking about getting the perfect shot for her clients.

I cannot say enough great things about Liz. We heard about Liz by attending a friends' wedding last year, and she was the photographer. We had an initial facetime conversation with her and could tell immediately that we wanted to work with her; not-to-mention, she offered us a free engagement photo session to get to know each other in preparation for the big day. She sends you this step-by-step guide to help you throughout the process as I had no clue of all that was involved, and that goes into planning a wedding (from the photo timeline to the shot list and so much more). I was nervous about the timeline, and Liz helped to calm my fears by offering several suggestions based on her many years of experience. Unfortunately, on our wedding day, our timeline was thrown off by one mishap, and it ended up delaying the rest of the nights' events. What I love most about Liz is, despite the absolute chaos of that day, she remained perfectly calm. It takes a truly talented artist to capture candid photos as she did even though we were incredibly behind schedule. In the words of Aaron Siskind, "Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever..It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything." This is exactly what Liz did for us that day, and we can both look back at these images and remember that day exactly as it was. I would recommend her a million times over!
