Award-winning acoustic guitarist and singer Lindsay Straw loves working with couples to provide the perfect folky musical backdrop for their event! With a foundation in traditional Irish and American folk music, she explores a variety of other genres as well, frequently covering pop, country and rock songs in her own fingerstyle-centric, Celtic-infused style. Since 2010, she has played for hundreds of events across New England and beyond.

Please note: Lindsay is no longer based in Nashville; she is back in the Boston area permanently. She is available for weddings all over the Northeast both solo and with bands The New Grown-Ups, The Ivy Leaf, and other acoustic ensembles.

A special, personal touch for our big day

We hired Lindsay to play guitar during our wedding ceremony; we were floored by her skill and professionalism, as well as her custom arrangements of our processional and recessional music. We would eagerly recommend her to anyone who wants a special, personal touch for their big day, or anyone seeking a supremely talented Celtic style guitarist for any reason. Thank you, Lindsay!

Book her now!

Lindsay was the best choice we made for our wedding! She sang for our ceremony, cocktail hour and even did our first dance. She went above and beyond to learn a new song for us and exceeded our expectations. She was super easy to work with and prompt with responses when we needed her! Her song list was extensive and set the perfect ambiance. We had so many comments from guests saying how talented she is! Also, her price is more than reasonable. We highly recommend Lindsay and look forward to seeing her shows in the Boston area!

So talented and wonderful to work with

Lindsay and Jordan were a pleasure to work with. They were communicative and flexible throughout COVID-19 and learned a new song for me to walk down the aisle to (I cried the WHOLE time it was so good and meant so much to us). Our family and friends raved about their selection of songs and talent throughout the cocktail hour. Highly recommend.

The Perfect Addition to Our Ceremony

We went through several date changes and the flexibility and support through was astounding. We had Lindsay play our ceremony, and it tied the moment together. We absolutely loved the ambiance and warmth her skill brought into our wedding. Forever grateful.

Excellent!

We had Lindsay perform ceremony music for our wedding and she was wonderful! Our ceremony was outside and she came prepared with all of her equipment and arrived promptly to set up. She was great to work with and helped us create the exact music selection that we wanted for our ceremony! My only regret is that I did not get to hear more of her music leading up to the start of the ceremony. I would highly recommend working with Lindsay!

Wonderful Musicians

Lindsay and Jordan were awesome! Initially our wedding was going to be outdoors and then we decided on a church wedding. Lindsay was very flexible in coordinating the music with our church music director and our wedding was beautiful. She also did the cocktail hour for the reception so she needed to move very quickly after the ceremony and get to our venue, set up and play music! She did this seamlessly. They are a perfect duo and we were so happy to have them. The music is beautiful and the overall experience working with Lindsay was great. We highly recommend her!

Highly Recommend!

We had Lindsay play for our outdoor ceremony and she was amazing. We discussed song choices beforehand and everything went smoothly. We could not have asked for a better musician to play at our ceremony. Highly recommend!!

Very talented and a perfect hire for our wedding

Lindsay and her partner played at our wedding for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They played a special song at our request and it was beautiful. Lindsay has a beautiful voice and is a very talented musician. She had a lot of songs in her repertoire that we loved and she was super easy to work with - very organized and great communication.

Beautiful music!

We saw Lindsay perform at another friends wedding years ago and I knew immediately I wanted her at mine. Her voice is beautiful and her song choices are varied yet cohesive, there is something for everyone! We received so many compliments about her singing, she adds a unique and personalized touch to every wedding she performs at. She is incredibly easy to work with, I highly recommend her to all!
