Lindsay was the best choice we made for our wedding! She sang for our ceremony, cocktail hour and even did our first dance. She went above and beyond to learn a new song for us and exceeded our expectations. She was super easy to work with and prompt with responses when we needed her! Her song list was extensive and set the perfect ambiance. We had so many comments from guests saying how talented she is! Also, her price is more than reasonable. We highly recommend Lindsay and look forward to seeing her shows in the Boston area!

So talented and wonderful to work with

Lindsay and Jordan were a pleasure to work with. Excellent!

We had Lindsay perform ceremony music for our wedding and she was wonderful! Our ceremony was outside and she came prepared with all of her equipment and arrived promptly to set up. She was great to work with and helped us create the exact music selection that we wanted for our ceremony! My only regret is that I did not get to hear more of her music leading up to the start of the ceremony. I would highly recommend working with Lindsay!

Wonderful Musicians

Lindsay and Jordan were awesome! Initially our wedding was going to be outdoors and then we decided on a church wedding. Lindsay was very flexible in coordinating the music with our church music director and our wedding was beautiful. She also did the cocktail hour for the reception so she needed to move very quickly after the ceremony and get to our venue, set up and play music! She did this seamlessly. They are a perfect duo and we were so happy to have them. The music is beautiful and the overall experience working with Lindsay was great. We highly recommend her!

Very talented and a perfect hire for our wedding

We saw Lindsay perform at another friends wedding years ago and I knew immediately I wanted her at mine. Wonderful acoustic musician for any wedding or event!

From start to finish Lindsay was incredibly professional, kind, flexible and helpful! Wonderful musician - highly recommend!

Lindsay Straw performed for the ceremony and cocktail hour at our outdoor wedding and was absolutely magical. She has an incredibly beautiful voice and set the perfect mood for our wedding. So many of our guests came up to us during our reception and after the wedding to comment on how wonderful Lindsay was and we couldn't agree more!

She was also incredibly professional and so easy to work with. We went to see her perform at the Arlington Farmer's Market and met with her after to discuss booking her. She was so helpful and her music was so lovely at the farmer's market that we knew we had to book her. We are so happy that we did! She made the whole process seamless and it was fabulous not to have to worry about the music at all. Our wedding was also outside on the hottest day of the year and Lindsay didn't bat an eye! We can't recommend her highly enough and would strongly encourage anyone to book her for their event.

Totally would recommend

Lindsay is awesome. We met with her before the wedding to give her an idea of what we wanted in terms of music. I had chose to have live music by Lindsay for the ceremony and cocktail hour with a DJ for the reception. Everything transitioned so smoothly from the ceremony to the cocktail hour. Everything we hoped for!

I watched my wife walk down the aisle while listening to Lindsay Straw sing, and it was absolutely perfect. Lindsay has a beautiful voice and and is a talented guitarist. Her performance was everything we hoped it would be.

We booked her after seeing her perform at a friend's wedding, and we immediately knew she was exactly what we wanted. She was very easy to work with and very professional. We cannot recommend her enough.

Beautiful voice and very professional

Lindsay was wonderful from beginning to end! She worked within our budget and provided exactly what we were looking for in providing music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, plus managing a playlist we created for "dj lite" services. She has a beautiful voice and was so laid back and flexible in working with us as we figured out what we wanted the music to be. She arrived on time and set up everything and the music was perfect and created the most peaceful vibe for our outdoor wedding. I would work with her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her!

Beautiful music for ceremonies and cocktail hours

We hired Lindsay to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Based on the structure of the day my wife and I really only heard the processional and recessional music but everything we heard from her was absolutely fantastic. She is both a talented singer and guitarist and has an enormous repertoire, so we were able to choose exactly what we wanted for the wedding.

Lindsay was very accommodating throughout the planning process, including playing an instrumental version of one of her songs that one of our bridesmaids, a professional singer, performed to, even sending that bridesmaid an altered recording in advance for practice. Lindsay was a delight to work with and we highly recommend her!

Amazing Musician

For our outdoor beach wedding on the Cape, we knew we wanted music that would be simple and beautiful, and decided a solo singer with acoustic guitar would best fit the setting and atmosphere we wanted. We went with Lindsay based on her great reviews and could not have been happier with the experience - not only is she an amazing performer with a beautiful voice, she is a consummate professional who is organized, responsive, and attentive to all the details that go into making a wedding a success!

We really appreciated her broad song list repertoire, that she had her own A/V equipment and setup options (she ended up bringing battery-powered speakers and two wireless mics for the outdoor beach ceremony where electrical outlets weren't available, which also meant amplifying the officiant / grooms was taken care of), that she took special requests and learned a song my mother-in-law wanted for the ceremony, and that was also willing to perform some light emceeing / DJ duties during the reception to help move things along. Best of all, she went the extra mile and worked with me beforehand on providing accompaniment so I could serenade my husband as a surprise. The day of the wedding, she arrived early to make sure everything was set up properly, and we never had to worry about whether she knew her cues or where she had to be next, and things went off without a hitch!

Several of our guests came up to us afterward to comment on how beautiful the music was during the ceremony and reception, and how calm and peaceful they felt hearing Lindsay's wonderful guitar-playing and singing on the beach. I can 't recommend working with her highly enough and am so grateful she was available to be part of our special day!

Got Lucky at Foxwoods!

My husband and I planned our April 6th wedding in just two months, and a month or so out we were still at a loss for what type of music we wanted for our Ceremony and our Cocktail Hour (We aren’t really ‘harp music’ people). After some searching at various Entertainment sites, we found Lindsay Straw on Gigmasters.com. We loved her acoustic guitar and beautiful voice. She also has her own website for her music and offerings https://www.lindsaystraw.com/. With both of us being Irish, her wide selection of Classical, Pop/Folk/Standards, and Celtic music really checked all the boxes.
Lucky for us, she had our date open, so we set up a phone call with her and walked through what we were looking for, and she shared how she normally handles things. Here website has a LONG list of songs to choose from. She said we could make a list for her to pull from, or give her some guidelines and she’ll fill in what seems to be working best. We also opted to ‘upgrade’ and have her musical partner Jordan Santiago join her on mandolin & violin.
Well, we can’t tell you what rave reviews our guests gave us about both the Ceremony music and the selections for Cocktail hour. PLUS, they were able to cover a 15 min delay/panic as we lost the binder we had all of our readings in for the Ceremony (life savers)!
If you want something different than the usual harp, or string quartet, or even DJ music, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone as talented, charming and versatile as Lindsay. She’ll make your special day THAT much more special.

Highlight of our reception, Very talented musicians

Lindsay and Jordan were a highlight of our wedding reception. They are very talented musicians and can play many different types of music. Our wedding was held at a camp in central Mass and we wanted a folk acoustic feel, which they can play perfectly. Lindsay and Jordan learned our favorite song for our first dance, and had everyone in tears for when we danced with our dads. She was so helpful in recommending songs for specific moments of our wedding and very accommodating and flexible when setting timelines for our day. From the beginning Lindsay was very professional and quick to respond to emails. One thing we were most impressed with was her ability to get to know us and what we wanted for music on our wedding day. They played a good balance of crowd favorites and their original songs, which gave our reception a unique and personal touch. They were naturals at feeling out the vibe of our venue/guests and setting the tone that we wanted. Lindsay and Jordan were a perfect fit for our reception and we are so happy to have booked them. The music was unique and loved by all of our guests. People were up dancing and sitting, enjoying the lovely music.

As a same-sex couple, Lindsay and Jordan were a safe and comfortable option for us.

Amazing Irish music!

Lindsay was the best! My husband is from Northern Ireland, so we knew we wanted to incorporate some traditional Irish music into our ceremony and dinner. When we found Lindsay, we didn’t look at any other musicians. Her voice is amazing, and her blend of traditional Irish songs and pop/folk songs was perfect for us! She was professional and responsive and so sweet! She even learned the song that my husband proposed to me with as a surprise to him when I walked down the aisle. Beautiful addition to an amazing day!

Lindsay Straw was incredible from the minute we decided to book her to the day of the wedding. She had great suggestions for the cocktail hour, and the ceremony music. We have a big Irish family, and she was able to give us great suggestions for traditional music that fit our theme. Her voice and guitar skills are hard to beat! She did a custom version of the Ed Sherran Galway Girl for us, and she knocked it out of the park! We even had a little moment where a bridesmaids fainted and she was calm, cool, and collected and still played through the whole thing! Thank you Lindsay!!

amazing ceremony musician!

Lindsay played guitar & sang for our ceremony, and she was truly phenomenal. We weren't sure what we were going to do about music for our ceremony, but when I came across samples of Lindsay's music online, I knew that we wanted her! She has a huge variety of songs available to choose from, including so many songs that we love. (She will learn one that you request, if you're looking for something that she doesn't already know.) Lindsay was so easy to work with, responsive, and professional; we really knew we were in good hands. The only downside is that, as the bride, I didn't get to hear any of the music before the ceremony! But I heard from so many guests about how great she was and how much they enjoyed the music before and during the ceremony. Can't recommend highly enough!

Lindsay performed at our wedding ceremony and it was such a wonderful experience! Booking was a very easy process and she was very easy to work with and flexible in terms of picking the songs we wanted and the schedule for the day. She also asked all the right questions in preparation and it really made us feel at ease that everything would go well on the big day (e.g. if we needed an amp/mic for the venue). She also checked in the few days leading up to the wedding so we knew she'd be there at the right time.

At the wedding, Lindsay arrived early to set up and was ready to play soon as our guests started to arrive. She was very cheerful and professional. Not to mention her voice was really beautiful and set the perfect mood for the day! Lindsay was beyond amazing, I can't say enough nice things about her and the special touch she brought to our wedding. Lindsay played during our ceremony and cocktail hour. First and foremost, she has the most beautiful and enchanting voice (we heard a sample and were hooked immediately). She was very easy to work with and so helpful throughout the entire process. Lindsay worked with us early on to get an idea of how she would best fit in and what we were looking for in terms of music choices. She provided guidance for the different songs that play during the ceremony and then what type of music she would play at the cocktail hour. If you've listened to some of Lindsay's music, and you think it might be a fit for your wedding, do not hesitate! Lindsay was super responsive through the whole process. She has a super helpful website about when to use music during your ceremony and what to consider in your selections as well as a list of the songs she plays. When there was a song she didn't have a preview posted for, she even sat down and recorded it that evening to send to us. Her voice and playing were so beautiful and added so much to our day. As soon as I found Lindsay's music online, I KNEW she was the one I wanted to play our wedding. She exceeded all of our expectations. Her voice and her guitar skills are unbelievably beautiful in person. On the day of our wedding, we had countless guests come up to us to ask where we found her and compliment her music. Beyond being highly talented, Lindsay was professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful from the second I contacted her. She also rented her speakers out to us for the dancing portion of the evening for an incredibly reasonable price, and stuck around to help out with them, which was an amazing deal for us as we were trying to make our wedding work on a budget. She responded graciously to every one of my dozens of emails/questions about the logistics leading up to the day. As talented as Lindsay is, she could be charging three times as much as she does (maybe I shouldn't write that), and I would encourage anyone to book her for their wedding or other event!!

Lindsay is a wonderful choice if you are looking for a unique and beautiful ceremony musician. She performed at our wedding in September at the Barn at Gibbet Hill for an outdoor ceremony. She was kind enough to learn the song that I wanted to walk down the isle to and played 10 amazing song choices for our guests while they were arriving to the ceremony. Everyone had nothing but wonderful things to say about her and how beautiful her voice is! She was prompt to response to my e-mails and it was very easy to communicate with her. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and made our ceremony exceptionally beautiful. She is very organized and provided amplification for herself as well as our officiant. Lindsay was interviewed and ultimately selected to perform at my daughters wedding in September, 2017. My daughter, a very conscientious listener of all things "music", immediately was struck by Lindsays vocal ability, the originality of her voice and the "sweetness" in her delivery. My daughter was married on the Cape and the venue presented challenges. The ceremony was held on the beach, in front of a 200 guests and 24 person wedding party. Lindsay was a pro, in every aspect of her beautiful performance and made the ceremony heartfelt, unique and memorable. Lindsay is deserving of two thumbs, way up, for her performance at the most wonderful wedding I have ever attended.

We loved Lindsay from the first moment we heard her performing and knew we had to have her at our wedding!! From day one she was incredibly easy to work with! She responded quickly to all of my emails and was always extremely professional! She did a beautiful rendition of "Can't Stop Falling In Love" for my processional which I loved! She was very flexible with all of our requests! We received so many compliments after our wedding about how incredible the music was! I would highly recommend Lindsay to anyone looking to have some live music at their ceremony/reception!!

Lindsay was such a pleasure to work with. She was recommended by our DJ as a guitarist to play throughout our ceremony and cocktail hour. Her music was so lovely. Many of our guests have told me how much they enjoyed listening to her. Lindsay was very responsive throughout the planning process. She knows an array of Irish songs, which our Irish families loved! Lindsay was very helpful in making recommendations in finding the balance of songs everyone would enjoy. I would very highly recommend her!

Lindsay recently played the ceremony music at our Old Sturbridge Village wedding. She was amazing to work with and a perfect fit for our venue! I was delighted that Lindsay played for our rehearsal dinner in honor of my son and his bride-to-be. Live music for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions is lovely; having Lindsay at our “Love and Laughter before Happily Ever After” event added wonderful ambiance to our special evening! We had an amalgamation of bicoastal families and friends traveling to the Cape, and she played marvelously for the cocktail hour (mostly vocals) and dinner (largely instrumentals). As a professional musician, I realize Lindsay can read an audience of listeners, but I appreciate that she was so accommodating to my selecting several songs from her lengthy song list -- music I knew would appeal to our guests, and be special to the bride and groom. Like so many other reviewers, I found her to be highly talented, professional, responsive, warm, personable, and seamless to work with.

Working with Lindsay was one of the easiest parts of the wedding planning process. She was incredibly professional, responsive, and provided helpful guidance to my fiancé and I when we had questions. She did a fantastic job creating arrangements to songs that were significant to us, and my husband and I received multiple compliments on her performance for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and first dance from our guests. Lindsay played our MDW wedding and while I loved every minute of being a bride, I wish I had a chance to be a guest and listen to her performance before the ceremony! (So many of our guests commented on how wonderful she was!) Lindsay's music was the perfect accompaniment to our outdoor ceremony and her mix of songs was perfect for my classic rock/acoustic soul. She even learned/arranged a special request (Across the Universe) for me to walk down the aisle to.

I recently had Lindsay sing at my our door, roof deck wedding. Leading up to the wedding she was very quick to respond to emails, offered great ideas and had a lengthy song list to choose from. My family, and my husband are from Ireland, therefore a number of the guests were arriving from Ireland. Her song list included a large variety of Irish songs, which was perfect for my cocktail hour. She arrived on time, allowed the Justice of the Peace to utilize her microphone/speaker equipment, and was a BIG hit! She sang for a half hour before the ceremony, then sang a beautiful rendition of "A Thousand Years" while I walked down the isle. She sang a number of classic Irish song to which almost everyone who knew the words sang along to, making the cocktail hour truly wonderful and social. I can not tell you how many people asked "Where did you find her, she was AMAZING!" in fact, just yesterday I was at a family birthday party and my cousins wife said " I could have listened to her all night" I think all attending would have agreed with that! Don't give it a second thought- if you are looking for a unique, beautiful voice and complete professionalism, look no further!!!

Lindsay was an incredible addition to our wedding ceremony! My husband and I both love folk music, and Lindsay's repertoire was a perfect fit for the atmosphere we were trying to set. She was a breeze to work with, responding to emails quickly. Lindsay was also kind enough to learn a new song ("The Wind" by Cat Stevens) for our walk down the aisle (my husband and I walked in together) without any additional charge! We can't recommend Lindsay enough!

Amazingly talented. I am so thankful we found Lindsay Straw for our wedding. Lindsay’s music added a classy, magical touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. I will never forget walking down the aisle with my parents to an acoustic rendition of Cannon in D. Simply beautiful. Lindsay read the crowd extremely well at our cocktail hour, and played acoustic renditions of modern pieces as well as traditional Irish and folk tunes. I could have spent the entire evening just listening to her perform. Lindsay is also extremely professional and easy to work with. We hired Ivy Leaf to play music for the ceremony and also throughout the reception and they were absolutely wonderful! Lindsay was quick to respond to all my emails and was very organized, thorough, patient, calm, friendly, and professional in working with us. I felt ever so confident that they would arrive on time and everything would go as planned...and it sure did!! We had an outdoor wedding at an apple orchard in the fall and they were the perfect addition to the cozy and festive vibe we wanted to create. We are not much into dancing and wanted to be able to mingle with our guests for the whole reception but we also wanted to have music entertainment...Lindsay and Ivy Leaf were the perfect choice! The music was happy, lively, and festive and we received many compliments from our guests. We even purchased CD's on Amazon to give as memento gifts for our parents and other family members. Ivy Leaf was a big part of our lovely wedding day and I can not express my gratitude enough!!

Lindsay played background music at my sister's bridal shower. From start to finish she was a true professional. She is a rare talent, whose voice is simply gorgeous. My (now) wife came across Lindsay when looking for someone to play for our ceremony. From the first introductory email to the last thank you email, Lindsay was an absolute delight to work with. She was communicative, organized, and an absolute professional. Of course, most importantly, the music was perfect! While we did not get to enjoy the pre-ceremony music, we heard nothing but great things from our guests. The performance during the ceremony was exactly what we were looking for and wanted. If you are in the market for someone to perform, I can't recommend her enough!

Lindsay's voice is angelic. Everyone was asking how I found her - she's a true gem!

She's got an extensive music selection that you can choose from. Only downside was each additional song she learns for you is 50 dollars which might add up quickly if you're very specific. I have to say though, her performance and professionalism was worth every cent. She made our ceremony beautiful!!

Also, she was flexible enough to make it to our rehearsal for a small fee, which really eased my anxiety. Thank you Lindsay!!

Lindsay Straw did an amazing job as our ceremony musician. Her well maintained website was one of the many reasons I picked her. It had lists of all the songs she can play and recommends and has some audio links of some of the songs. I felt like I already knew her through her music before I met her. She had never played my venue, Seaport Boston Hotel, but she was very professional and looked like she performed there a million times before. My mother, who has played the guitar off an one for 40 years, loved Lindsay. I had many guests complimented her performance and wondered where we found her. I highly recommend Lindsay Straw as your wedding musician. She made our ceremony unique and amazing.

We found Lindsay after our original musician cancelled on us only a few months before the big day. I firmly believe things happen for a reason! If this had not happened, we would not have had the opportunity to work with Lindsay and enjoy her melodious voice . Listening to her sample music is what hooked me first and then her professional is what made me sign the dotted line. She sent out a questionnaire shortly after to really to get to know Steven and I. It was so detailed and well thought out; down to "what attire would you like me to wear?' I never thought to tell her what she could and could not wear. Finally, her openness and willingness to help us select the perfect wedding day compilation just completely sealed the deal! I knew that I could trust her to make our day truly special. She was very prompt the day of the event and she even answered my panicked emails the night before at some ungodly hour.

The ceremony like most did not start on time or go quite the way it was supposed too! She played right through and made sure that my walk down the aisle had a perfectly timed beginning and end. During the reception, I had numerous guests come up to me and compliment how beautiful the musicians voice was. I would completely recommend her to any one of my friend with upcoming nuptials. I cannot write enough praise in Lindsay's name! It was such a joy and pleasure having her there!

Lindsay Straw provided our processional and recessional music (Canon in D, Better Together) and learned and sang "When you say nothing at all" for us at our ceremony. Additionally she sang for an hour during our cocktail hour. She was AMAZING! Our guests raved about her music, and thought it was such a nice touch to have live music at the cocktail hour. We hired Lindsay, Caroline, and Benedict for our Celtic themed wedding ceremony, and struck gold! Lindsay communicated clearly and quickly every step of the way and guided us with selections to bring our vision of our ceremony to life. All of our guests enjoyed their music as they arrived for the lawn ceremony, and each and every one of them remarked about these three very talented and gifted musicians. After the ceremony, they continued to play (in the heat of the summer sun no less) for our cocktail hour on the deck. We were thrilled with everything they provided, and hope to have them again for another Celtic inspired celebration....anniversary party anyone? Lindsay was an absolute delight for our wedding music. She really set the tone for the whole ceremony. I walked down the aisle to her version of Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl, which was so wonderful. In preparation for the day, she even recorded the song in a slow version and a faster version, so I could pick which one I liked best. It really put me at ease to hear how it would sound in advance.

After the wedding, we had multiple people comment on how wonderful Lindsay's voice was. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Of all the vendors booked for our wedding, Lindsay Straw was absolutely the best! From the start, Lindsay always responded to my emails promptly (which when you are planning a wedding is very reassuring!). I knew when I heard a sample of her music that I wanted her for our big day. Her voice is so angelic and perfect for a wedding. As we got closer to my wedding, Lindsay drove an hour to meet with us at my mom's house to go over everything in person. Even though we could have done it online, I wanted to meet in person and Lindsay was so accommodating. During our meeting, my mom asked if Lindsay knew a certain song and does she take requests (at this point, Lindsay had already learned our songs so I was a little embarrassed that my mom asked that!). Two weeks later, I got an email from Lindsay that she learned the song my mom loves because she could tell how much it meant to her. The day before our wedding, we needed to change our ceremony start time because of a blizzard. Lindsay was so accommodating and it was not a problem for her to start two hours earlier. I am sad that our wedding is over and want to do it all over again! I would without a doubt, book Lindsay Straw if I could! She is a gem among a sea of musicians in the Boston area.

Lindsay is a consummate professional and a very sweet person. I loved working with her! She learned to play a unique song for my processional and travelled from Boston to Dennis for our ceremony. She has a beautiful voice and is a wickedly talented guitarist… I recommend her highly. Our ceremony was outside and the venue would not allow Lindsay to use an amplifier of any sort, so she was a little hard to hear at times. I only mention this to future brides/grooms so that they can check with their venues to make sure you get the full experience of Lindsay's talent!

Lynsey Straw is one of the most professional yet personable performers, that I have ever dealt with. Her voice and guitar skills are excellent. She performed at our luminary event, which is a tough venue, people walking around and socializing while she is performing, yet she handles it very well. I would highly recommend her for any venue. We loved having Lindsay as part of our wedding day. I think we received more compliments on her playing during the reception than on any other vendor during the wedding weekend. It was just so perfect for the location and feel of our wedding. She was incredibly responsive from first email right the way through to wedding day. Lindsay learned our first dance song, and even emailed us a recording of her playing it the week before the wedding. Her voice is simply beautiful and she is a truly skilled musician. I would not hesitate to recommend her to any bride and look forward to one day being able to use her again for future celebrations.

Lindsay performed at our wedding ceremony this past September. She learned one of my favorite songs for the procession (Sweet Disposition) and did an absolutely beautiful job! She's quick to respond and is also helpful in guiding you through the process. I highly recommend booking her for any special occasion!

Lindsay performed the most beautiful music during my wedding and cocktail hour. She was fantastic to work with and so accommodating. I would recommend her without reservations to anyone who wants fantastic live music at their wedding. My guests are still raving about her performance!

I looked and listened to quite a few guitarist/vocalists but knew once I heard Lindsay that I wanted her for our special day. She was instantly responsive and easy going and the range of her music was incredible. She was willing to learn several songs for our special day and when I changed our first dance song at the last minute she adapted beautifully. We are still hearing raves about her performance weeks after our wedding. She truly is an amazing artist and her pricing was pot on if not under priced for what she delivered. Definitely top notch and I can't wait to get our video back to we can hear more of her from the cocktail hour. Hire her QUICK!!

Working with Lindsay was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We wanted to combine all the contemporary music we love, with Irish music from our heritage, and Lindsay did a great job blending the two seamlessly. Lindsay played for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. I was brought to tears when I walked past her going down the aisle, and heard her playing. Lindsay was so easy to work with, never making us feel pressured to make decisions by a certain deadline, which is a blessing when working with many different vendors. She offered helpful suggestions, which were perfect. Our wedding guests still talk about how amazing her music was, and I can't imagine our day without her.

Lindsay was great, the highlight of the wedding. Many guests raved about how great a voice she had and what a good choice she was. She was incredibly flexible leading up to the wedding and quickly and easily moved when the ceremony was rained out. Handled last minute song changes without missing a beat.

Lindsay was wonderful to work with and made the process very easy. I received many compliments from my guests on how nice of an environment she created before and after the ceremony. She even learned a special song just for my wedding. I really couldn't have asked for more!

I don't know where to start with Lindsay. She is AMAZING. Incredibly professional, communicative, flexible and not to mention her beautiful voice. Lindsay did not stop playing throughout the entire ceremony and reception. I cannot thank her enough for all of her hard work. I would recommend her for any wedding or event!

Linsday has plenty of glowing reviews from happy brides. Here's one from a happy groom. Lindsay did a masterful job. We met in advance to discuss music choice, and she handled everything from there. She brought audio equipment for our outdoor ceremony, and my guests raved about her performance. She is an excellent guitarist and wonderful vocalist. I underestimated how important live music was going to be. I am so glad we chose Lindsay to perform at our ceremony. We made separate arrangements to have her MC the early part of the reception. She was all around great. I enthusiastically recommend Lindsay without reservation.

I was not particular about a lot of things at my wedding - except the music. The DJ didn't turn out as I had hoped - but Lindsay. Wow. She was...everything I had hoped for and more. I love guitars and I wanted something beautiful and soothing to go along with my garden wedding. I did a ton of research and found Lindsay here on this site. We met up, picked the songs, she learned my favorite song for my recessional (Into Your Arms by the Lemonheads - I hope she puts this in her repertoire because she did such an amazing job). People couldn't stop talking about how amazing she was during the 1/2 hour before the ceremony and during. She was everything we had hoped and more. I highly recommend Lindsay!

Lindsay did an awesome job playing our ceremony and cocktail hour with very little direction. Many guests remarked on her great vocal pieces during the cocktail hour; keep her around for it, if you can! She has a great catalog of recordings on Soundcloud so you'll be confident that, regardless of the type of music you want, she has the talent to deliver.

Normally I'd leave a longer review but since it was a perfect experience there's not much else to say!

We were thrilled to have Lindsay be a part of our wedding. She is one of the most beautiful classical guitarists we've ever heard, and has a voice to match. She performed everything from Bach to the Beatles flawlessly and soulfully. Add to that, she is lovely to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend Lindsay Straw to anyone who asks. Lindsay was the church singer at our wedding on May 3, 2014. She was a joy to work with from start to finish. She was very open to any special requests that I had, she was prompt with responses, extremely professional and absolutely amazing at the wedding. My guests raved about Lindsay and many of them requested her contact information. I would recommend Lindsay 100% and would also look forward to hiring her for any event in the future.

I can't praise Lindsay enough! We decided to change our ceremony music from an organist to a folk guitarist at the last minute. Lindsay was able to accommodate us into her schedule and was very easy to communicate with. She responded quickly to all correspondence and she was so nice to work with, helping to meet all of our requests! Her music was so soothing and perfect for our wedding ceremony. I would highly recommend her to any brides (or grooms) looking for a guitar soloist for their big day!! :-)

Lindsay not only was a beautiful singer and guitarist, but she was also warm and friendly. Every single interaction with her was a delight. We got married during a surprise snow storm (they said rain, but no, we got 6" of snow in only 3 hours), she stayed later than originally planned because we had a late start. The wedding ceremony music was perfect, her timing flawless. All my guests complimented me on her playing during the cocktail hour too!

I can't recommend Lindsay highly enough! We were looking for someone who was reasonably priced to play some unique instrumental pieces at our wedding ceremony, and her stuff definitely fit that bill. I feel in love with her voice listening to clips online, and ended up hiring her without even hearing her play - and I'm so glad I did! She was so easy to work with, and incredibly professional, not to mention immensely talented. We got so many complements on her guitar playing. She also performed more contemporary vocal pieces for us at the cocktail hour, which our guests also loved, and even learned two pieces just for us. We didn't get to hear much of it because we were taking photos, but she sent us audio files so we didn't miss out. How great is that!

Lindsay provided the ceremony music for our wedding in September 2012 and we couldn't have been happier or more satisfied! Lindsay was a pleasure to work with and, due to our last minute scheduling, had to juggle prior commitments in order to free herself up to play at our wedding. She also learned a new song, a personal favorite, for the processional and played it flawlessly. Her musical talents are obvious and she is an absolute professional. We feel lucky that Lindsay was a part of our wedding and, no matter the event, we are sure you will feel the same! Book early though :-)

Lindsay has an amazing voice that flowed beautifully with our ceremony. We were looking for more of a contemporary, acoustic feel to our ceremony and Lindsay learned Jason Mraz's I Won't Give Up that was absolutely stunning. All my guests have been commenting on how beautiful our ceremony music was. I'm so glad she was available for our special day and put in the effort to learn a new song just for us. I can't express how grateful I am to have found such a beautiful singer to play for my wedding ceremony on Sept. 27, 2013! We were planning our wedding from a far and I had by chance come across Lindsay on GigMasters. My now husband and I fell immediately in love with her voice after hearing "On Raglan Road" which she played at the ceremony. We also had her venture off of her song list to play "A Hundred Years" by Christina Perri . She was more than thrilled to play what I had in mind. Coming down the aisle she had arranged perfect timing in the song. She blew me away with her voice. It truly was one of my favorite moments, and I'll never forget it. She was a pleasure to work with, professional, and responded quickly to emails always with sweet enthusiasm . It couldn't have been more perfect, I continue to get compliments on her from my guests. Lindsay performed at my wedding Sept. 15 2013, and did an absolutely amazing job. I could not have asked for a better musician for my wedding. What else can I say, but that Lindsay was an absolute delight to work with! She is so sweet, and incredibly talented. Having her play before and during the ceremony, in addition to the cocktail hour, really gave our wedding that something special! She is so easy going and has very talented friends that you can pay for too! We had both Lindsay and Armand, who played the fiddle. If we had more in our budget we would have had more, but the two of them were just perfect!

Lindsay's music really took our ceremony to another level. Coming around the corner to walk down the aisle, hearing the first few notes of the song and then her beautiful voice transported me. I walked down the aisle with both of my parents and we were laughing and joking around while waiting. As soon as she started playing the song for us, something changed, we all had immediate tears in our eyes, it was time! That was one of the most amazing moments of my life, and her music as the soundtrack was a huge part of the feeling that I remember.

My husband and I really wanted to have a live musician play at the ceremony but we had no clue where to start looking. I went on gigmasters.com and just started listening to local musicians pages. As soon as we landed on Lindsay's and listened to her video of 'On Raglan Road' the search was over. I was sold in probably the first 10 seconds of listening. Her voice is amazing and she is SO talented.

She wrote me back immediately and was so friendly and enthusiastic, it just made me more exited to hire her. She was super helpful in the planning of the ceremony music too. I didn't really know where to start and she walked me through what to think about, the different songs I could choose from, etc. We even had particular song in mind for the processional and she suggested a different, slower way to play it so it would make more sense for the processional. It couldn't have been more perfect in the end.

She played for the whole cocktail hour as well and I think it created the perfect mood for our guests. Everyone loved her style and commented to me how talented she was.

Thank you so much Lindsay, it wouldn't have been the same without you!!

Lindsay preformed at our wedding and we could not have been happier. The guests are still raving about how amazing the music was and how friendly and nice she was to all our guests. Lindsay took a great deal of time prior to the wedding in discussing our music selection and offered us many suggestions. She responded to emails immediately and was very flexible overall. Lindsay has a lovely voice and is a very talented guitarist. She added a special touch to our intimate wedding ceremony and followed our requests to the letter.
