For almost 30 years, the Lazy Cloud has been hosting small weddings in our Fontana, WI lodge. We are a small boutique hotel with 10 suites and a lounge for gathering. Our guests enjoy breakfast every day in the lodge, or room service. Our grounds provide walking paths, sitting areas, gazebos, and beautiful gardens that provide a backdrop for the most beautiful wedding photos. Are you looking for a small intimate ceremony with only family and close friends? When you have a small wedding, you have the opportunity to customize it exactly the way you want it. During the summer, our beautiful wedding gazebo is surrounded by flowers with the romantic sound of water trickling from our fountain. In the colder weather, your candlelit ceremony will be held in front of the glowing embers of our lodge fireplace.

We can provide:

A list of Walworth County judges and clergy.

A bridal bouquet of fresh flowers and a boutonniere.

Champagne with Chambord (a raspberry liqueur) for the wedding toast

A wedding cake from a wonderful local bakery.

Special music requests.

Candid photography, or a list of Wedding Photographers.

Wonderful Experience

The Lazy Cloud was a wonderful place to have a wedding. They took care of the decorations, cake, food, and more! They were polite, helpful, and flexible the whole time and were understanding when certain things (on our end) didn't go according to plan. The rooms are beautiful as well and I hope to return just to stay as a guest. If you get the option with the fingertip buffet, expect PLENTY of food! We ended up running late and I felt so bad leaving so much food behind. We probably didn't even need to plan dinner that night because most of the guests were so full. Thank you to everyone at the Lazy Cloud for a great wedding experience!

Stress-free, beautiful environment, lovely people and an absolutely darling place.

My husband and I decided to elope and chose Lazy Cloud. We had been engaged for a little over 9 months but didn’t have wedding plans because I was going to finish school first. However, the pandemic hit while I was in school, I then struggled to graduate and find a job in the meantime. Once I was offered a position, it didn’t make sense for us to wait because we didn’t know when this time will pass. I called Lazy Cloud ONE WEEK before the wedding date and they were able to make it happen for us. Everything was absolutely beautiful. We had trusted and left all the planning to them while we handled things on our side and somehow, we were able to get married a week after we reached out to them. They gave us the most wonderful experience and we are forever grateful that they were able to do that. Stress-free, beautiful environment, lovely people and an absolutely darling place.

We couldn't have found a more perfect place!

Everyone helped us make our most special day perfect! The staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We stayed in the Enchanted Tree House room and it was the best experience! Our wedding was so intimate-exactly what we wanted. We will be returning every year.

The best weekend we've ever had.

The staff at the Lazy Cloud made sure everything was perfect. They answered every question quickly and accurately. They did everything they could to make this the perfect day. The set up was beautiful, the cake was delicious, and the staff seemed just as excited as we were. I recommend staying the night before the wedding and the night after. You'll want the time to get ready in the room. We ended up extending our stay past the first few nights because of how serene and beautiful it was. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a small wedding with family.

Small and Perfect Wedding

Lazy Cloud was the best place for us to have our wedding! The price was unbelievable for how much they do for you. They got us a cake (which was one of the best cakes I have ever tasted), made an appetizer meal (also tasted amazing), and gave us champagne to toast with! They also have the most incredible rooms to spend your first night together as a married couple in, and to get ready for the wedding in! We honestly did not want to leave! We got the highest tier Wedding package from them and it was well worth it. The grounds are also the perfect back drop for pictures and to make memories in. We had a more than perfect wedding. Thank you Lazy Cloud! We can not wait to come back for our anniversary!

Entire staff was amazing! And very accommodating. Setting was beautiful, gazebo was decorated really nice! We would highly recommend having a wedding at the Lazy Cloud. Judge Henry Sibbing was Wonderful!

My husband and I wanted to Get married but didn’t want a big wedding and didn’t want to just go to a court house . Lazy cloud inn was absolutely perfect !!they even had a cake and champagne toast! Staff was very friendly and Sara the owner was amazing. Couldn’t love this place anymore then I do. Can’t wait to go back.

We got married at Lazy Cloud and stayed the night there. It was absolutely amazing. We had a “just the two of us” wedding which was perfect. We didn’t need to worry about a thing! They took care of everything, we just needed to show up :) They had the bouquet, boutonnière, the cake, the champagne. It was great for us to not have any stress on our day! The room we stayed in was the Tiffany suite and it was stunning. So relaxing and quiet. The jacuzzi was great too! The breakfast was delicious and so filling! We will definitely be back for our anniversaries and looking forward to going back!

Everything was perfect. Our ceremony was in the main lodge area as we stayed in the Hayloft suite. Highly recommend for an all inclusive wedding experience.
