We initially hired Lawson to handle the venue, catering and entertainment. As we continued to enjoy our meetings, we ended up allowing Lawson and his team to handle 100% of our rehearsal dinner and wedding. He could not have been a better choice. I have been planning my wedding since I was a little girl. I came in with a stack of torn out magazine articles and pictures and sort of just dropped them on his desk. He actually took the time to put them in order and bind them for me. It was then I knew we were in good hands. Organization is one of my huge things. Lawson always took extra time to ensure all of my questions were handled and even more offering us set by step suggestions and options. You could tell he was not just someone that would treat us like a number. I felt special. He made everything special. I could not be more grateful for his time and attention to detail. His creative eye ensured that we got everything that we could ever want and he even found us ways to stay below budget. If you are getting married, Lawson is THE ONLY person to call.

Wow, what can I say. Lawson is magic. His attention to detail is flawless. I was a nervous wreck to be honest. Lawson made me feel at ease and was just the most creative kind person. I can not recommend him enough. Who would have thought to have an artist "paint the party" at the reception. Lawson brings a knowledge of Charleston to the table that allowed us to enjoy some of the best vendors to make my day incredible.

We worked with Nathaniel Chamblin and his team from Lawson Roberts for our wedding. They really made the entire event spectacular and as stress free as possible. There were many details that we wanted to incorporate as a part of our weekend and didn't know if they were possible, but Nathaniel made them happen.
He always was one step ahead of us and communicated so well with us that we were prepared for whatever came our way. Nathaniel had the experience to tell us what would work and what we should reconsider.
He was very professional and was always in contact with us and responded to requests quickly. We always knew where we stood and never felt that we were in the dark.
He created a fantastic menu for our reception and stayed within our budget.
Nathaniel even designed all the flowers for our ceremony and reception which were absolutely stunning! I never worried for a second that everything would not be perfect and every detail taken care of.
We continue to get many compliments about the wedding and a majority of people tell us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We definitely could not have done any of this without Nathaniel and his team from Lawson Roberts.

Lawson was the full planner for our recent wedding in Mt.Pleasant, SC and I can't say enough wonderful things about Lawson and his team! I had an overwhelming amount of ideas and Lawson was always available to listen. He perfectly created my vision & even added a few surprises for our decor. I walked into our reception with a huge smile on my face. Our guests were raving about the decor and said that they had the BEST time ever at our wedding! My bouquet was just what I wanted and beautifully wrapped in black & white damask. He even had a toss bouquet so that I could save mine as a keepsake. Everyone noted how surprisingly calm I was on our wedding day, but I knew Lawson had everything under control and could enjoy every moment of our wedding! He also helped us with catering services for our rehearsal party and the food was absolutely delicious. We had such an amazing experience at our wedding and truly appreciate all of the detail, planning and perfection that went into making our event unforgettable!!!

My family and I could not ask for a better planning experience. Lawson saved us money and was more than professional with us! We love love love him! My husband and I wanted a small, elegant, romantic wedding at our house. Lawson helped to make sure our vision became our reality. He had wonderful ideas, suggestions, and answers to all our questions. His lighting and decorations made our wedding day a beautiful event that our family and friends enjoyed. He made sure all details were tended to and that we had no worries. He was helpful, informative, and just fun to work with! I would recommend his services and knowledge to anyone looking to plan an event that has style!

We hired him and had a terrible experience. He comes in and presents himself as a really fabulous professional but really he's a scam artist. He didn't follow instructions, blew our budget, is a liar, is disrespectful, and misrepresented himself entirely.

You will find yourself thanking him and thinking he's a lifesaver and that he's great at the beginning of your event planning process and then by the end of your event you will be crying your eyes out asking yourself "HOW DID I LET THIS HAPPEN? HOW COULD I HAVE NOT SEEN THE SIGNS OF A SCAMMER? I WISH I WOULD HAVE NEVER HIRED HIM!!!!"

He was recently arrested for fraud and there is a whole group of people who have linked up from Charleston, Columbia, New York and more to share stories of how they were screwed by him. Out of the blue I have received dozens of FB messages and phone calls from others who have been screwed by him sharing their stories ever since I commented under the Post and Courrier Article about him being arrested for fraud on 1/23/13. He is the king of fast talking and finding loop holes to try to get away with screwing people. Do not trust him, do not give him your money, do not believe a single word that comes out of this man's mouth. He is a poor excuse for a human being and an even worse excuse for a business owner. Listen to the reviews you see NOT the articles and website and press. I promise you he is great at creating an online presence to make himself look good. DON'T GET FAST TALKED BY HIM! THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE UP AND DOWN THE EAST COAST THAT HAVE COME FORWARD ABOUT BEING SCREWED BY HIM! BELIEVE THIS REVIEW! THE OTHER REVIEWS ON HERE WERE WRITTEN BY HIM!!!!!! Had a very negative experience with Lawson Roberts. Over Promised under delivered. Was too focused on other events to be bothered for what we hired him for. Was very disappointed in his services and professionalism. There are too many wedding professionals in Charleston to even consider utilizing him for anything. Look elsewhere.

DO NOT USE!!! STAY AWAY!!!we paid him in full he he stole our money and never paid Any of the vendors. he also inflated our price by the thousands from the original vendors invoice. ITS 7 WEEKS AFTER OUR WEDDING NO VENDOR HAS BEEN PAID!! He used our credit card to pay his debt not associated with our wedding.

he gave us the bait and switch with the band, photographer, as well as vendors for tables linens etc.. we are filing a police report he embezzled our money!!!!!! DO NOT HIRE HIM HE WILL LIE, MANIPULATE AND DECEIVE. HE WILL STEAL ALL OF YOUR MONEY!!!

He portrays himself as a high roller and he is in debt. Check out other wedding blogs and you will find the same.
