Let me start by saying I am unable to act normal in front of a camera, so I was frankly a bit worried about selecting a wedding photographer. I was instantly drawn to Lauren’s portfolio because everyone looked so natural and she obviously had a keen eye for capturing those little moments – a sideways glance when you thought nobody was looking, or a flower girl gasping with delight when she first spots the bride.

When I first spoke with Lauren, I felt not only that she knew her stuff and “got” my style, but also that she put me at ease. I also loved that she offered up an engagement shoot before the wedding as a way to get to know each other. Oh – and by the way those photos were to die for, so I knew I was in good hands for the big day.

On the day of the wedding, Lauren was everywhere and nowhere. Does that make sense? She seriously captured every special moment and more, yet we never seemed to notice she was around. In some of those uncomfortable, more posed moments, Lauren helped ease our nerves with cues of what to do, but other than that she just let us do our thing so we didn’t have to “act” natural. I still look at our pics on almost a daily basis because it blows me away how beautiful they are. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more.

Lauren is amazing to work with! We decided to work with her after falling in love with photos from a friend's wedding (that Lauren took). She is so relaxed, makes you feel totally comfortable and has a true eye for gorgeous shots! She totally understood our vision and made it happen. 100% recommend her and her team!

l couldn't recommend Lauren more! She was able to capture beautiful family portraits as well as candid shots. She was even able to get my dog to cooperate for photos! Her overall priority is getting great shots of the couple, and the photos of my husband and I turned out amazingly. Lauren was my first and only pick when we started getting all of our vendors lined up! I knew I wanted to work with Lauren from the moment I met her! She's incredibly talented, in fact I don't think she really knows how good she is!

I was attracted to the way she uses natural light and the way she captures those special moments. All and I mean ALL her photos are just beautiful! She was so easy to work with during our engagement session and during my bridal portraits. Those are must... don't skip those...She is crazy creative! During our wedding I never felt like she was in the way in but was still able to capture those details and those moments we want to freeze in time!

Wedding photography was something that I wanted to be perfect, so I did a lot of research before choosing a photographer. When I attended the Bridal Showcase, I loved Lauren as soon as I met her, and I was so impressed with the style of her work. I knew she was my front-runner, but I presented my husband with my top three - Lauren was the clear favorite for him as well.

Before we booked, Lauren met with us in person to explain all the details and to get to know us. We learned about her style, her background, and exactly what to expect over the next year. We had a consultation scheduled with another photographer the next day, but we cancelled it as soon as we left our meeting with Lauren.

We did our engagement photos at the County Fair, and had such a blast. She even got on a merry-go-round and rode backwards to capture the perfect shot! She also gave me advice on what to wear, what time would give us the best light, etc. to make sure we looked our best.

On our wedding day, she and her assistant arrived early and stayed late to make sure that our big day was documented from beginning to end. We could not be more impressed with our photos, they are just amazing. We all want to look our best in our wedding photos, and she was great about capturing us in the most flattering light and angles. She also took amazing photos of our guests, the details of our reception, and action shots on the dance floor.

We were so impressed by her ability to feel like an old friend, while still being completely professional. We had guests who said they never even noticed our photographer - she did a great job of blending in while still capturing every moment of our ceremony and reception.

Finally, I love instant gratification, and Lauren was very speedy in giving us a "sneak peek" of some of her favorites, and with giving us access to the full gallery. We can't wait for another excuse to take photos, she will be stuck with us for life!

After sifting through postcards, business cards, and even discs of images collected from photographers at the Bridal Showcase, I kept coming back to the style of Lauren Friday Photography. I set up a consultation where we discussed her photography style, a custom photography package, and even chatted about her own wedding. I immediately knew I wanted Lauren to shoot my engagement session and wedding day.
Lauren drove to Greensboro, NC for the engagement session, and just when I was trying to fight back tears over the fact that it was drizzling just minutes before our shoot began, I received a text from Lauren saying she just arrived at the park and not to worry about the rain-that we would have FUN! Her positive attitude was exactly what I needed-the rain cleared and we had a great time. My now husband and I were incredibly nervous for the shoot, but Lauren made us feel so at ease. I loved that she did our engagement session as it was a chance to work with her before the big day.
I just received my photos back from my wedding-WOW. They are not just captured images, but they are captured emotions from the day. I will have these photos to share with family and friends even years from now, and can honestly say one of the best decisions I made throughout the planning process was hiring Lauren as our wedding photographer. She is professional, punctual, organized, flexible with creating custom packages, and sweet as can be. I hope to work with her again sometime in the future.
