Great engagement photos in Central Park
We really had a great experience with Dan at Lasting Joy and our engagement photo session in Central Park. He is a true professional and did a great job helping us strike some natural poses. We were both pleased with the outcome of the shots - definitely recommend him!

Michael and I got married on 9/21/2019 at an intimate small garden restaurant in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Dan and Sydney had to arrive to our hotel very early that morning due to our early ceremony at 11AM but they came right on time and started capturing our special day.
Dan and Sydney were both very easy to communicate with. They made us feel less awkward in front of the camera as they were going for more candid photos of us being ourselves than doing unnatural poses.
I just received sneak peak of our wedding and my goodness they are perfect. I love how they all came out so natural with the perfect amount of lighting balance. They captured all the small details of the day beautifully and most importantly I LOOK GOOD! Honestly I didn't get to do much dieting for the wedding and was really worried how I would look but it came out all nicely and candid.
I am so happy with the results and I would recommend Lasting Joy Wedding to anyone and everyone. We found out that Dan is also an experienced pet photographer and hopefully soon in the future we could do another photoshoot with him with our puppy Moomoo.

Dan was a pro and eager to get our vision right
Dan was a pro and eager to get our vision right for our engagement pictures. He was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. My fiance and I do not know how to pose for pictures and the proof is in our one signature pose we do for every single picture we take together, but Dan was able to direct us with what felt comfortable and natural. We wanted to include our motorcycle into the shoot at sunset, with the city skyline in the background, oh and there was a storm coming in! I imagine all these factors would discourage the average photographer, but Dan was fearless and not only did he make it work, he made it a lot of fun. We shot at different parts of the park, on the pier, did some laps on the bike and the storm brought in a beautifully lit skyline.
His fun, creative energy kept us inspired to try new things, and it paid off ... the photos turned out great to prove that!!

Gartland Wedding

Amazing engagement photos!
Dan and Sydney are two of the most lovely and talented people on this planet! We had our engagement photoshoot with them and it was such an amazing experience! Dan and Sydney made the whole thing so fun and easy, were so open to our location idea, and prompted us through the session in a completely natural way. About a week later we received all of our photos and they are absolutely stunning. They worked so hard to capture our love and our relationship and that attention to detail definitely shone through in our photos. I cannot recommend Lasting Joy NYC more for all of your wedding photography needs!

Relaxed Atmosphere, Professional Shoot!
Dan, our photographer is pleasant, professional and flexible. We had to cancel the first session due to emergencies and he was very accommodating and rescheduled thereafter. He was very pleasant and approachable, and leads the shoot in a professional yet fun approach. He did our engagement shoot in NYC Public Library. The photoshoot was tricky due to the location (inside the library) but he was able to pull it off! Recommend 100%!

Magical Moments
Our experience with Dan was a truly special time. My fiancé and I are from Florida but were engaged in Central Park. We decided to take our pictures where we were engaged and that is when we found Dan. From the beginning he was easy to work with and very communicative. He took time to learn about us, valued our opinions and listened to our vision for the pictures. We met in Central Park where he was waiting for us with his fiancé, Sydney. The session was a breeze and felt like we were just taking pictures with friends. Before we knew it, the session was over, and we parted ways. A short time later he returned our edited photos faster than we had anticipated and better than we imagined. Thanks Dan and Sydney for capturing our magical moments!
