Located in Sparta, New Jersey, just 50 miles outside of New York City, Lake Mohawk is a private lake community that features magnificent homes, a Swiss Alpine-styled village square, and an idealistic boardwalk that leads to a Swiss chalet-styled country club, beaches, and parks.
The Country Club, Boardwalk, and Beach are all centrally located on the beautifully landscaped property with breathtaking views of Lake Mohawk. Nestled into the colorful foothills of Northern New Jersey, a distinct warmth and unique atmosphere infuse all three venues, establishing the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony, reception, or rehearsal dinner.
The Beach, located just off the Boardwalk and steps away from the Country Club, makes for a perfect lakeside wedding ceremony, offering a picturesque backdrop and irresistible sunsets. If you would prefer, you can also exchange vows on our boardwalk, adorned with rustic lanterns and seasonal flowers. For winter weddings, we offer ceremonies in our

Situated on the beautiful Lake Mohawk, within Sussex County, Lake Mohawk Country Club comfortably accommodates 200 guests. Don't Overthink It - Just Have Your Wedding Here
The natural second point is the value, as with this team in charge there's no need to hire outside an outside vendor for coordination. Even if you don't meticulously plan and explain where every decor item goes like I did, you'll be a good hands. Additionally, there was SO much food - and it was all incredible. We heard this countless times from our guests. The location is of course, stunning and the surrounding town is super charming. The reception room with the string lights - gorgeous. There's also ample space to get ready at the venue which was really important to me, I think helps the day flow better.
Weddings are just expensive, but we truly feel like we got an incredibly high value for the price we paid at LMCC and would recommend anyone getting married to strongly consider this venue :)

Our Wedding
Whether I reached out via email or phone, someone was always available to respond quickly, clearly, and with genuine care. That level of responsiveness took away so much of the typical stress that comes with wedding planning and gave us the peace of mind we didn’t know we needed.
Blake and Karen were the main people guiding us throughout the process, and we truly can’t thank them enough. Their support was everything. Blake even helped us run through the ceremony beforehand since we weren’t having a rehearsal dinner. When the moment came to walk down the aisle, she was right there, helping to calm my nerves. It's those little moments that make all the difference—and they absolutely did.
The ceremony by the lake was breathtaking. Surrounded by water, nature, and the warmth of our loved ones—it felt like something out of a storybook. And the ballroom? Magical. With soft string lights overhead and the elegant design of the space, it truly felt like we were in a movie.
We are still getting compliments on the food! Everything was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully prepared by the Lake Mohawk culinary team. People are still talking about how impressed they were.
Throughout the evening, the staff checked on us regularly to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, without ever being intrusive. They even handled all of the décor setup—and honestly, I couldn’t have done it better myself. Seeing the room brought to life with our vision (and none of the stress) was such a special moment.
We couldn’t be more grateful to Lake Mohawk Country Club for helping make this day so smooth, so beautiful, and so incredibly memorable. We would recommend this venue without hesitation to anyone looking for a stunning lakeside setting, amazing food, and an exceptional team to support you every step of the way.
