We approached La Bonne Maison looking for a wedding menu that celebrated summer in New England without breaking the bank, and they came up with the most delicious meal. From mini lobster rolls and filet mignon during cocktail hour, to great entree options that fit the season, to passed mini desserts and fun late night bites, we were so pleased with everything that LBM served at our wedding. They also helped us create a custom bar package with signature cocktails based on our unique requests, and batched them out before so there was never a line at the bar. The staff at our wedding was also so efficient and kind, and made sure myself and my husband always had food and drinks. We cannot recommend LBM enough!

We hired LBM for our wedding back in July 2022 and they were wonderful to work with. We had our work cut out for us as I have severe food allergies and I was determined to find a caterer who could provide an allergen-free wedding for all of our guests. Mary worked with us from day 1 to customize our menu to be entirely gluten free and nut free. They also accommodated other specific allergies/restrictions that some of our guests had. They have specialized food allergy training which provided additional reassurance for us.

All of the food was delicious on our wedding day, and our signature cocktail created by Victor was a big hit as well! As a bonus, they also helped with some general planning including recommendations on how to best set up the venue space. We would highly recommend LBM, especially for Celiac/food allergy folks who are determined to have a safe dining experience!

THE FOOD oh my goodness, hands down one of the best steaks I have ever had in my entire life. I lost track of how many guests came up to us exclaiming how amazing the food was. Our number one priority aside from getting married was to have an amazing dinner and LBM exceeded our expectations! 
Now I just need to plan another event so we can eat their amazing food again. We will definitely be recommending them to anyone in need of a caterer. 

We could not imagine a better cater for our wedding than La Bonne Maison! Mary and Victor, along with their team, did not disappoint. After doing a tasting with Mary and Victor we were sold on the spot for their extensive, sophisticated, yet practical, menu options, attention to detail including accommodating a gluten allergy, and phenomenal flavor and love that they put in all their dishes. The cocktails Victor crafted were spot on to our preferences and tastes. Numerous guests commented on how amazing the food was, with many saying it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Their staff on the wedding day aggressively made sure the hors d’oeuvres made their rounds and everyone was pleasantly surprised that they did not need to chase anyone down for a particular dish. For entrees, we enjoyed salmon and beef dishes which were both excellent, bursting with flavor. One of the highlights was that Victor was able to arrange Whiskey tasting, which as you can imagine was a huge hit and our guests are still raving about how much they enjoyed it. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to be enjoying their time a testament to the environment that Victor and Mary cultivate at La Bonne Maison. Overall 5/5 experience. Would highly recommend! I wish we could enjoy it again it went by too fast!

We couldn't have asked for a better caterer! The food and drinks were beyond delicious, and the team was responsive and helpful throughout the process. We especially loved the amazing hors d'oeuvres, such as the duck confit cubanos and the seared tuna with wasabi cream. Our guests all raved about our cocktails, especially the Suffering Bastard (renamed for the wedding, of course). We'd choose them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

La Bonne Maison is AMAZING! We are so lucky to have found Mary. We started planning during the depths of COVID as well as from a different state and at first we were had no idea how we would determine a caterer when all you could really do was look at menus. Mary made it so easy. As soon as we contacted her she offered to set up a call and talk through what we wanted. On the call she listened to our requests and made amazing suggestions! Most other caterers just sent us a menu and quote without any personal touch. Mary and her team also made it so easy to manage the changing COVID restrictions- up until 1.5 months before the wedding we still only were allowed 50 people- they worked with us through all of the changing restrictions and guest counts with ease. At the end of the day- the food and drink were to die for!! Our guests were (and still are) raving about the cocktail hour, dinner, and cake. This team is so talented!! As a HUGE bonus too- Mary's team actually made sure my husband and I got to eat and drink and enjoy the meal while also talking with our guests. When my now-husband and I got engaged, the first thing we discussed was food for the wedding. We hated going to weddings with mediocre fare - cold chicken, overdone steak, suspect fish... we knew that at our wedding food was going to be a priority.

LBM delivered. There's a reason that Mary and her team have a stellar reputation. You know how your favorite part of a wedding is cocktail hour where you get to try all the delicious mini treats and just chat at high tops? Well, ours too... so Mary suggested we extend it to 1.5 hours and then served a massive variety of hors d'oeuvres that blew our guests away. Everything from french onion shooters to duck on scallion pancakes to tuna on cucumber slices... I just can't. My mouth is watering even typing this.

Not only was all the food incredible, but Mary was so responsive and helpful. Here's a secret that no one ever tells you when you're planning a wedding: most wedding vendors have a great craft but don't respond to your emails... like... ever. Well, Mary did and with enthusiasm and support the whole year leading up to the event.

We recently used La Bonne Maison to cater our wedding. Mary and her team were outstanding. From the very beginning, I knew we were in good hands. Mary is organized, responsive and pays close attention to detail. The food was simply amazing and exceeded all our expectations. Our guests loved everything. I recommend La Bonne Maison without hesitation.

We have used La Bonne Maison before and this second time was just as great as the first time. We were very pleased with the job Mary and her staff did. Mary helped us with recommendations for a menu that accommodated meat eaters, vegans, and gluten and lactose free guests, and provided a tasting so we could confirm the food would be delicious and appealing to all. She was always gracious and responsive. At the wedding the staff were a big help and went way beyond what I expected to make the occasion run smoothly, including last minute details. Those who served were unobtrusive and on top of things. The bartender was particularly good at being friendly while providing great service. The food tasted fabulous and we got many compliments. In sum, La Bonne Maison did a wonderful job and from the beginning we felt confident all would run smoothly.

As I’m writing this review I am sitting in a local restaurant, and I’ve stopped to complain to the waitress about my breakfast. What can I say? I’m a foodie. I watch cooking shows. I grow my own vegetables and I embarrass my wife when I send meals back at restaurants.
For me, a good meal with family or friends is one of the great pleasures in life, so you can imagine how important the quality of the food was at my daughter’s wedding. We would be surrounded by family and friends and I wanted them to have the best meal of their lives.
La Bonne Maison surpassed even my expectations! From our first meeting, Linda Marino made my daughter and I feel as if we were her best clients. She had great ideas about the linens, the table settings and even suggestions for the florist. But most important, was the feeling of confidence I had in our decisions about the food.
When our guests arrived at the reception, which by the way was the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown, a terrific place, they were greeted with fabulous hors d’oeuvres. If you like beef there was Petit Filet. If you like sea food there was Coconut Shrimp. If you’re a vegetarian there were Mushroom Purses and if you’re a foodie, you’re in heaven, with those hors d’oeuvres and more.

Dinner was even better, we had Chateaubriand which literally melted in your mouth, and, yes my guest said it, “It was the best meal they had ever had in their entire life!”
I could go on about the presentation and the service and the wedding cake but I think the only way to truly understand is to experience it for yourself.
With great appreciation, I will always remember the fantastic work La Bonne Maison did for my daughter’s wedding.
