Our wedding was planned in a few months. It was a non traditional 150 guest backyard DIY celebration…on Halloween. Things were crazy. I put a lot of effort into finding a photographer who I trusted to jump into an insane situation like mine. I’m so glad I found Koontz Photography. This girl knows her sh*t! She’s so very skilled in her craft and her personality is the cherry on top. Weddings can be stressful and fast paced and I wanted to be comfortable and actually have fun. We wanted someone alternative and queer friendly and we found that with Daniella. She had a portfolio of work that we absolutely adored, a price that fit our budget, and she was willing to work with our crazy timeline. Looking back now after our wedding and getting our photos back, I can 100% confidently say that Koontz Photography was the absolute best choice and I will recommend her to everyone I can. Koontz Photography shot my wedding back in January, which makes this review WAY WAY overdue, especially considering the five star, A++, over the moon and out of this world job they did for us. Hiring a photographer for my wedding was one of the things I was most anxious about, because they were going to be up close and personal with me the whole day. As a plus size bride with nerdy tastes, I was extremely intimidated by the picture perfect blush and cream industry, and I've also always been a little self conscious in front of the camera. I wanted to find a photographer who had experience shooting plus side brides (who knew how to get the flattering angles!!) but also someone who I could vibe with and not feel judged by at some of my most vulnerable moments. I found Daniella on Offbeat Bride (now Offbeat wed) and it was honestly the best moment! My fiance and I knew IMMEDIATELY after looking over her website that her pictures and vibe were exactly what we were looking for, something that was only confirmed by messaging her and receiving an IMMEDIATE response (almost within an hour). That responsiveness is something that Danielle kept up throughout the entire process. She helped me brainstorm my engagement photo session (I wanted something truly unique t o us) and helped us settle on something that was absolutely perfect while also being achievable. When we finally met her, I knew we'd made the absolute right choice. The engagement session was SO MUCH FUN, and I honestly had trouble not laughing through every photo (which made my happiness shine through on the beautiful photos. After that point, it became clear that it wasn't even a choice that we have her shoot our wedding day, it was absolutely IMPERATIVE. On the day off, Danielle and her second photographer Jenn, were an absolute blast. I was so nervous at so many points but the two of them immediately put me at ease. Posing for them was fun and silly instead of stiff and formal, which was definitely a way better experience for the wedding day. Danielle was extremely organized when taking all the combination of group photos, and even managed to catch some of the best pictures of my aging father I've ever seen—he is notoriously grumpy-faced in photos, but she captured so much laughter and happy moments! The results (which were delivered remarkably fast after the wedding) were beyond beautiful and perfect, and she put together a little bonus reel on instagram that I wasn't expecting that actually made my husband and I change what we consider 'our song'. Overall, I cannot recommend Koontz photography enough. It was the one of the best decisions I made and I'm so, so grateful for the beautiful gifts she's given me so I can look back and remember the best day of my life. THANK YOU!!!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Daniella and her team. Professional, prompt, and sweet! We could not be more thrilled with the way our pictures turned out. Daniella was absolutely perfect! She was accommodating, professional, easy-going, and skilled in both our engagement and wedding photos. She ensured we got the best edits in our photos and even removed perfectly an entire vehicle from some of our shots of us walking down the aisle that would have otherwise ruined those photos! She has been nothing but understanding and knew just what to do to get us comfortable with her. I look forward to having her photograph every life event we have!

Daniella was an amazing photographer who has such beautiful pictures that people keep asking me for her information! She takes high quality, creative, beautiful pictures that seem like they came out of a magazine (at least that’s what everyone keeps telling me)! Her communication was incredible. She wanted a very detailed shot list so that she could prepare to meet all my dreams. Meeting ahead of time to talk details before the wedding was super helpful, as the day of is super crazy and you forget what pics you want! She was so friendly, patient, creative, and took such beautiful shots that we are so so so happy with. She was on time, organized, and well prepared. She got some really special shots that I didn’t even think about, and I’m so happy for them...they are some of my favorites. We are so grateful to have had her and her team!

Koontz Photography was a dream to work with for our engagement and wedding pictures! Daniella's professionalism and excellent communication skills put us at ease throughout the process. It was so wonderful knowing that our photography was in good hands and we didn't have to worry about it on our big day! We absolutely love our photographs and are finding it hard to pick favorites because they are all so beautiful. The most common comment we get about our wedding pictures is, "Stunning!," and we couldn't agree more. Daniella shot my sisters wedding and I knew I wanted to use her after seeing my sister's pictures! She had never shot at the location I was having my wedding before, so she familiarized herself with it before hand! I have only seen a handful of pictures from her so far (my wedding was 2 days ago) but they are already amazing. can't wait to see the rest.

Daniella provided more than we could ask for when she took our wedding pictures. They all turned out to be absolutely stunning, and I hear all the time from other brides, "I wish I had used her! I'm jealous of how much better your pictures are than mine!" So just book her. Now. Or you'll regret it forever and be one of those jealous ladies.

While we haven't seen all of our pictures yes (there has to be more than a thousand!), the ones we have seen are awesome! She and her team have a creative eye and got some really cool shots. She is also a great value compared to some of the super overpriced photogs I looked at. I highly recommend her!
