From the moment I started corresponding with Kirsten, I knew that she was exactly the type of person I wanted to work with on our wedding day. She instantly understood our intimate destination wedding and was both encouraging and helpful throughout our planning process. The fact that she and her husband were married at our venue last year was SUCH a valuable resource, and she always found time to respond to the silliest of my questions- even when she was 9 months pregnant! Our last minute additions of a second shooter and rehearsal dinner photography (on the 4th of July!) were immediately accommodated and Kirsten rolled with every single crazy idea our friends and family had for photographs (I apologize again).

Kirsten's work is so unique and beautiful and truly speaks for itself, but I really want to express that we are absolutely thrilled with our images. Her eye for capturing intimate moments throughout the day was exactly the reason I knew she was right for us. We were married in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean and the cliffs, but I wanted someone who would equally capture the beauty of the scenery and the small, personal moments that made up our wedding weekend. Kirsten took the time to get to know us leading up to the wedding and throughout the weekend, and her work reflects as much. She is also such a calming and encouraging presence on the day of the wedding. With such a small wedding, our vendors really felt like friends by the end of the weekend. I will never forget her taking the time to chat about photography with both my father and my father-in-law, as well as taking the time to make sure our first look was exactly what we wanted.

I know Kirsten has a long and amazing career ahead of her, and we are so grateful that she was able to capture our wedding and be part of our day. Thank you, thank you for everything!

My husband and I are both journalists who have photography experience, so it was very difficult choosing someone to capture our special day the way we imagined. But after searching through dozens of photographer websites as I planned my wedding, she was the one we chose to be our wedding photographer for our big day in June, and working with her was such a great experience. Kirsten flew up to Bodega Bay for our wedding and was patient, friendly and extremely helpful throughout the entire day. She even drove me and my husband around town to our do our portraits! For my husband and I, photography was one of the most important aspects of the day. We wanted our unique venue and the energy of our family to be captured in the photographs. That being said, my family is very complicated, large, and insanely opinionated and the amount of patience and professionalism she showed was AMAZING!

Not once did I feel rushed or uncomfortable (and I hate being photographed). I in fact a lot of the time had no idea that she was even taking our pictures and the results are fabulous!

Kirsten has a true eye for how to capture tiny moments that make big pictures and if you are looking for an artistic, elevated photographic style that goes beyond the "traditional" wedding photos, Kirsten is the best and I would go as far to say the only option for a photographer!
