My husband and I had our wedding here last July, and it is still one of the best days of our lives not only because of how special it was but because of how beautiful Kirkwood and the staff was. If you’re looking to fulfill your dreams of getting married outside and feeling luxurious yet outdoorsy - this is the place.

At the food tasting we were able to choose exactly what food we wanted at the wedding and it was delicious, I highly recommend doing this. You get to meet the chef and is overall such a fun time.

Our coordinator was amazing! She kept us on time and made me feel super special as a bride. Thank you again for everything!

Kirkwood has always held a special place in our hearts and when we found out we could get married there and did a tour it was a no brainer. We love the mountains and the Tahoe area but there is something special about Kirkwood being out on it's own. We got to spend a week with our families and share that with them and watch them fall in love with Kirkwood as well. Not only that but the wedding manager at Kirkwood,Ashley, did such an amazing job. She is incredibly responsive, thoughtful in her planning and suggestions for set up and flow and has such great attention to detail. She immediately understood the vibe that we were going for and made it easy which as a bride juggling what seemed like a million things was so nice. Not only was Ashley great but the entire staff was friendly and helpful throughout the process at Kirkwood. From booking family stays at the resort, to the staff working the food tasting providing excellent suggestions for activities to do during our stay to the actual staff working the wedding. All of them were amazing. I could not have picked or imagined a better venue. Even the food was amazing and I continue to get compliments from family and friends and the wedding was a couple of weeks ago. It was everything we wanted. The only thing I was sad about was Vail decided not run the lifts this summer and that was a bummer I was so hopeful to be able to go up in my dress, but with views like Kirkwood you can't be sad for long. I highly recommend this venue for anyone that loves that mountains!!!!!! It was unbelievably amazing!!!!!!!!!! Ashley and her staff are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kirkwood was an amazing place to have our wedding, and we wouldn't have done it any other way! Tucked away from the rest of Tahoe, we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves (which we basically did!) The natural beauty and laid back feel of Kirkwood are hard to beat (and made for amazing photos). We felt like we were really able to focus on our marriage and the friends and family we were sharing it with - the details needed are so minimal! Our guests could not stop talking about what a magical setting it was.

From the start, our wedding coordinator, Shannon Proper, was amazing. She was easy to get ahold of, always responded in a timely manner, and made our wedding a seamless and perfect event. She made it feel like we were the only wedding of the year! The banquet coordinator for the weekend, Brad Lodge, was equally as great. He made sure the weekend went smooth, and was always present with a smile to help out.

The food at Kirkwood exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately we were unable to attend the tasting weekend, so we were nervous... but we made our selections, crossed our fingers, and it was all AMAZING. We had passed & plated apps, and went with the BBQ buffet dinner. People didn't stop raving about the food - it was seriously SO GOOD!

We had our ceremony in the meadow, followed by the reception in front of The Wall Bar. They have a nice sized patio that fit all of our tables (we had 210 people) and the dance floor, surrounded by string lights. It was beautiful!

And, more importantly, it was within our price point. It can't be beat for a Tahoe are wedding, quality of service & food!

The meadow ceremony location was gorgeous and made for phenomenal pictures. Guests kept complimenting what wonderful scenery for a wedding. The reception venue "Off the Wall" bar and grill really accentuated the intimate and quaint feeling we were looking for. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was quite delicious. I did have an issue in the planning, but the staff worked hard to rectify the situation. Overall, it really fit what my husband and I were looking for, and is a great value for a wedding in the Tahoe area!

Overall I thought that Kirkwood was a great place. Everyone had a great time and the pictures turned out amazing! I'm a little type A when it comes to planning so i don't think I ever gave them an option to not be great! It was great having everyone in the same area and be able to hang out!

We loved having our wedding at Kirkwood! The venue was gorgeous and it was the perfect fit for us. The event coordinator was a nice gal but we did find her difficult to get in touch with which was quite frustrating during the months of planning. It all worked out just fine though and we were very pleased with Kirkwood!
