So happy with my hair and make up! I was able to book pretty far in advance which is good because I am an over-planner. I also got to do a trial run of my hair and make up and send pics to my other location's salon (I got married and celebrated in 2 different states). They were even very accommodating week of when my mom decided she wanted her make up done after all, and made her and I look naturally beautiful! I love the classic, vintage look, and I got exactly that!

Vanessa is absolutely incredible and I highly recommend her for any brides out there looking for a kind, considerate, flexible, truly one of a kind hair stylist for your wedding. Vanessa not only came in and saved the day after the hair stylist I had booked with months before flaked on me but she listened to all of my needs and with the most positive attitude. On my actual wedding day, I was having a not so great morning and she sat me down and reminded me of what’s important and that the day is about me. Vanessa not only made me look and feel beautiful but she truly saved our wedding day as I don’t think I would have made it to the ceremony without her support. Book Vanessa. You won’t regret it.

To add, all of my bridal party was obsessed with their hair. It’s the first wedding I’ve been to when everyone was happy with their look.

Kim and Sabrina were absolutely wonderful. All the products are Parabeln free and cruelty free too! Kim did my makeup trial at her salon and took my feedback about makeup preferences seriously. She made modifications to my updo as well and I really appreciated her flexibility and expertise. On the wedding day, she came early to set up and was such a peaceful and friendly person in the bridal shower suite. She and Sabrina nailed makeup and hair for myself, maid of honor, and 4 family members. They put on lashes for us as well! The makeup lasted the whole night and I cannot recommend her enough!

Amazing! Kim and her crew did a fabulous job on my hair and make-up and my bridesmaids' hair as well. She was very friendly and helpful. throughout the whole process she was very professional and worked with me in the planning. I wasn't super impressed with my nails (french tip on toes and fingers) and I would have skipped that service and done it somewhere else, but the hair and make-up was definitely worth it!

I started going to Kim for my hair needs the summer before my wedding. She is AMAZING. I have never had such a good cut in my life. I have very thick straight hair but she was able to make it look wonderful with out a lot of styling after I left. She put beautiful highlights in it for me too and I always got exactly what I asked for. This is not a hair artist that takes liberties with your hair, you get what you ask for the first time! All of the staff is very friendly and accommodating as well.

She did my hair and make-up for my wedding and I would not have had it any other way. I've gotta say I think I looked pretty awesome!

One of the girls did my nails for my wedding as well, I had no idea what she did was even possible! I had no idea they could take straight glitter and do just the tips of my nails! I even got to pick three different glitters to mix together and she made them "fade" the way I wanted them to.

Two of my bridesmaids had they're hair done for the wedding by two other stylists and they were very happy with the results as well.

I would recommend them to any one!

Kim and her girls rock!! Since i dont live in town i had to come in a few months before my wedding for my trial and feel in love with them! Kim was so kind and treated me like a long time friend. I have a VERY very thin spot on the crown of my head and she was sweet about making sure it was hidden. She even recommended a product that could help and it did! I was blown away to find something to help reverse it!! That alone made her amazing in my eyes. I chose to have me and my girls all get ready at the same time, some of her girls were out of town, so she had people from other salons come and help her. I had no clue of that until after we were all glammed up! And they made all of us feel so special and we all looked amazing! On the day of the wedding kim and her team showed up early and set up everything just perfectly they moved mirrors so we could see ourselves, which i loved! And all 5 of us were ready with time to spare!! My hair never moved an inch and my make-up still looked fresh at 2am when i went to bed!! Thank you Kim and Co for all that you did and for making us all look so pretty!!

I cant begin to say enough great things about Kim, and Kim&co salon. I was having the worst time trying to find the right stylist for my wedding. I live about three hours away from the san luis obispo area and didnt have a lot of time to travel back and forth for test runs.
I had hired a stylist and had my test run about 3 weeks before my wedding day, and I literally cried when i was done with my appointment. I have long hair and it is always hard to keep a curl in, but my curls literally fell the moment i stepped out of the salon. I had brought a picture of exactly what i wanted my hair to look like and it wasn't even close. All the stylist did was curl my hair and stick it up in a few bobby pins, which i could have done myself. And then at the end, she let me know she wouldnt be able to be on location for my wedding, as planned, because she had other appointments scheduled in the salon.
Needless to say i was devastated when i walked out of that salon. A friend of mine was trying to help me out since i was planning everything myself and came across kim&co salon online. I called and explained my situation and Kim and the whole salon were so helpful. Kim had another wedding she was doing that morning, but squeezed me in since my wedding wasn't until 5pm. She even made time to do a trial run the day before my wedding day to make sure that everything was the way i wanted it.
The salon's atmosphere was so calming and kim and the staff are so friendly. My hair ended up being perfect! It looked even better than the picture i had brought in and my curls stayed all night long, and into the next day.
I dont know what i would have done if i hadnt had found them.

Kim did a wonderful job on my make-up. I was one of her first African-American brides and she did her research to find just the right shades to make me sparkle.

As a bride who was planning a long distance wedding -- choosing Kim at Kim & Co was one of the best decisions I made in planning my wedding. Since I lived in Southern California I couldn't do a hair trial in advance of my wedding and I worried that I might not like my hair and make-up for my wedding. Boy was I wrong! Meeting Kim the day before for my trial Kim really worked with me to make me look my absolute best and immediately put my fears at ease. Everyone at the wedding told me how great my hair and make-up looked but yet, when I looked in the mirror I still looked like me (which was just the way I wanted to look!) I'll caution, Kim & Co is not an inexpensive salon -- but do you really want to go budget on your hair and make-up?

The girls at Kim and Co Salon did a great job on the hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids! The cost was on the high side, not quite matching the quality, but overall we were very happy with the results! The makeup Kim and Co uses is really great -- looks great, not heavy at all. My stylist (Holly) worked with me to get my hair style just right. She was patient and detailed as we worked through the style until I finally said "OK, that! That's perfect!" Trust me, it took a while. My bridesmaids looked beautiful! One wasn't completely happy with her makeup, but the stylists and Kim and Co tweaked it, without making the ordeal awkward -- very much appreciated. Another bridesmaid wasn't super happy with her hair, but she did a quick adjustment herself and solved the problem. Bottom line -- I think Kim and Co is one of the best salons in the SLO-area for wedding hair / makeup. They are a bit pricey, but if you speak up, they will work with you to make your look just right! Thanks to Holly and the entire Kim and Co team!
