Kim and Sabrina were absolutely wonderful. All the products are Parabeln free and cruelty free too! Kim did my makeup trial at her salon and took my feedback about makeup preferences seriously. She made modifications to my updo as well and I really appreciated her flexibility and expertise. On the wedding day, she came early to set up and was such a peaceful and friendly person in the bridal shower suite. She and Sabrina nailed makeup and hair for myself, maid of honor, and 4 family members. They put on lashes for us as well! The makeup lasted the whole night and I cannot recommend her enough!Kim & Co. Salon & Day Spa's reply:

User1071276 Sent on 01/17/2013I started going to Kim for my hair needs the summer before my wedding. She is AMAZING. I have never had such a good cut in my life. I have very thick straight hair but she was able to make it look wonderful with out a lot of styling after I left. She put beautiful highlights in it for me too and I always got exactly what I asked for. This is not a hair artist that takes liberties with your hair, you get what you ask for the first time! All of the staff is very friendly and accommodating as well.
She did my hair and make-up for my wedding and I would not have had it any other way. I've gotta say I think I looked pretty awesome!
One of the girls did my nails for my wedding as well, I had no idea what she did was even possible! I had no idea they could take straight glitter and do just the tips of my nails! I even got to pick three different glitters to mix together and she made them "fade" the way I wanted them to.
Two of my bridesmaids had they're hair done for the wedding by two other stylists and they were very happy with the results as well.

User1628230 Sent on 05/22/2014Amazing! Kim and her crew did a fabulous job on my hair and make-up and my bridesmaids' hair as well. She was very friendly and helpful. throughout the whole process she was very professional and worked with me in the planning. I wasn't super impressed with my nails (french tip on toes and fingers) and I would have skipped that service and done it somewhere else, but the hair and make-up was definitely worth it!

Veronica Sent on 08/12/2011Kim and her girls rock!! Since i dont live in town i had to come in a few months before my wedding for my trial and feel in love with them! Kim was so kind and treated me like a long time friend. I have a VERY very thin spot on the crown of my head and she was sweet about making sure it was hidden. She even recommended a product that could help and it did! I was blown away to find something to help reverse it!! That alone made her amazing in my eyes. I chose to have me and my girls all get ready at the same time, some of her girls were out of town, so she had people from other salons come and help her. I had no clue of that until after we were all glammed up! And they made all of us feel so special and we all looked amazing! On the day of the wedding kim and her team showed up early and set up everything just perfectly they moved mirrors so we could see ourselves, which i loved! And all 5 of us were ready with time to spare!! My hair never moved an inch and my make-up still looked fresh at 2am when i went to bed!! Jacqueline Sent on 02/06/2010I cant begin to say enough great things about Kim, and Kim&co salon. I was having the worst time trying to find the right stylist for my wedding. I live about three hours away from the san luis obispo area and didnt have a lot of time to travel back and forth for test runs.
I had hired a stylist and had my test run about 3 weeks before my wedding day, and I literally cried when i was done with my appointment. I have long hair and it is always hard to keep a curl in, but my curls literally fell the moment i stepped out of the salon. I had brought a picture of exactly what i wanted my hair to look like and it wasn't even close. All the stylist did was curl my hair and stick it up in a few bobby pins, which i could have done myself. And then at the end, she let me know she wouldnt be able to be on location for my wedding, as planned, because she had other appointments scheduled in the salon.
Needless to say i was devastated when i walked out of that salon. A friend of mine was trying to help me out since i was planning everything myself and came across kim&co salon online. I called and explained my situation and Kim and the whole salon were so helpful. Kim had another wedding she was doing that morning, but squeezed me in since my wedding wasn't until 5pm. She even made time to do a trial run the day before my wedding day to make sure that everything was the way i wanted it.
The salon's atmosphere was so calming and kim and the staff are so friendly. My hair ended up being perfect! It looked even better than the picture i had brought in and my curls stayed all night long, and into the next day.

I recently got married on 10/10/20 and I decided to change my wedding from 100 guests to 8 guests since both my father and father in law were at higher risk for COVID. Kim was able to accommodate my change and we planned for my mother and I to get hair and make-up done at Kim's salon. I needed a trim and my mom needed a root touch up prior to the wedding so we decided to contact Kim and she was able to schedule us with Vanessa on the 8th which was really nice of her to do last minute! Vanessa's blow out was unfortunately disappointing and should have been a warning sign for the wedding day since she was going to be doing my mom's hair. She had the heat setting on low for the blow dryer and straightener which didn't properly style our hair. I should have just blow dried my hair myself and I would have gotten the same result if not better.
Kim had planned for me to come at 11:30am on the wedding day and promised that would be enough time for me to leave at 2pm. I had extensions and wanted my hair half up. She was unfortunately 25 minutes late because she was doing a new style on a customer. I wish she had scheduled the customer earlier knowing she had to be on time for a wedding. I had to be back at my house at 2:30pm so that I could catch a shuttle at 2:45pm to go to the venue. We didn't leave her salon until 2:30pm which caused me to miss my shuttle and made me EXTREMELY stressed out. I almost had a panic attack. While I was stressing out she had the audacity to ask me to take pictures of my hair and makeup as my mom was paying for the services and her and the staff were telling me " A wedding can't start without the bride!" as if that would make me feel better.
Vanessa was doing my mom's hair and all my mom wanted was a blow out and parts of her hair pinned back. She has short hair, below her neck and needs her ends curled inward. My mom does have a lot of hair but Vanessa was not able to do my mom's hair appropriately. She was taking big chunks of hair at a time and straightening instead of dividing it into smaller parts. We could tell she was very inexperienced. We made sure to tell her to put the heat setting on high but that still didn't help. Kim had given Vanessa a tip on what to do to try to get the ends to curl inward and Vanessa's response was " Oh I've never done that before, if you want to try it you can!" and proceeded to going home. Meanwhile, Kim was doing my hair and makeup and was already late and obviously didn't have time to help.
I'm not sure of the name of the lady that did my mom's make up (her booth was to the left of Kim) but she made me very upset. Make up was supposed to include false lashes and when my mom mentioned it to her she said my mom didn't need them. This is a lie because my mom has very short lashes that don't curl well. This lady made my mom curl her own lashes and then only applied mascara. She also asked my mom if she brought her own lipstick and told her she could buy some if she wanted any to be used on her. (this was strange because Kim had applied liner and gloss on me and didn't make me purchase any.) When my mom came to show me her makeup it was beautiful but I noticed she didn't have lashes on. I asked about it and her make up artist replied with, " It's too late" and I asked why? And she said "I don't have time." So Kim had to put my moms fake eye lashes on after being late for me and making me miss my shuttle. I felt like my mom and I were not important to the staff at Kim and Co salon and their other customers were prioritized. Kim was 25 minutes late for me but the lady doing my mom's makeup couldn't be 2 minutes late for her next customer??
Even though Vanessa did a horrible job my mom still tipped her 20% in cash before she left because she has a big heart and feels bad for everyone. At the end the lady at the front desk automatically charged my mom 20% for all of the services so Vanessa got tipped 2 times. I am extremely upset and do not recommend using Kim's staff for your bridal hair. Overall Kim was very nice and my hair and make up came out pretty. I would only hire Kim going forward and stay away from the rest of her staff.Kim & Co. Salon & Day Spa's reply:

We have been working with bridal parties for over 20 years and although we have had tremendous success stories with most of them, at times, we are unable to please everyone. We all strive to do our very best with each client, and it seems we have fallen short with you, and that is a sincere disappointment to us. We genuinely hope that you were able to have a pleasant day despite a rocky start with us.
