I have provided makeup services for many weddings, corporate events, and other social events.

I began my professional career as a television and celebrity makeup artist at CNN Networks after completing private instruction with IATSE Makeup Mistress Frances Kollar, and have worked as in-house key makeup with MTV Networks, key makeup for the "Lauren Hutton and… Show" on CBS Networks, the exclusive celebrity makeup artist for "The Dick Cavett Show" on CNBC, and key makeup for the program "Wealth Track featuring Consuelo Mack" on WNET/PBS Networks. I have also freelanced for most major broadcast and cable television networks and news outlets, including NBC, HBO, Comedy Central, Reuter's, CNBC, TCM, The Discovery Channel, The Food Network, and United Nations Television.

I have worked on numerous television commercials for clients, including AT&T, iO Digital Cable, and Astra Zeneca, and satellite media tours. I have also served as a makeup artist for a variety of established and aspiring models, fashion shows (Betsey Johnson, Givenchy, and others), and live theatrical shows and companies (the New York City Opera, "Rent" (Broadway)).

My celebrity client list has included Madonna, Sir Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, Iggy Pop, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Bjork, Rosie O'Donnell, Rachael Ray, Christopher Walken, Isabella Rossellini, Jane Seymour, Shaquille O'Neal, Evander Holyfield, Mary Lou Retton, Mario Batali, Maya Angelou, Bill Gates, Rudolph Giuliani, Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Former Madame Secretary Madeleine Albright, Secretary General Kofi Annan of the United Nations, President Hamed Karzai of Afghanistan, Queen Noor of Jordan, and many others.

In New York Daily News film critic Jami Bernard's memoir entitled "The Incredible Shrinking Critic," Ms. Bernard wrote the following about an afternoon she spent with Ms. Stave:

"Kian Stave took me makeup shopping. That's like having Van Cliburn help you pick out a Steinway."
