Chris was a dream to work with as a DJ. He made the planning super easy with a very extensive planning document with varied questions to make sure the day was exactly what we wanted it to be. He respected our music choices and made sure to not play the songs on our "Do Not Play" list, even when they were requested by guests! He kept the party going all night and took our lead to make sure the night was exactly what we wanted it to be. The guests loved being able to text him requests. He was professional, respectful, easy to work with, and made sure that our mutual love of music was perfectly represented on our big day. My only regret is that I didn't spend every song out there dancing!

Chris was awesome! From our initial meeting to the big day, he was great to work with. Chris was very professional, communicated clearly, had an inclusive song planner for us to fill out and gave helpful opinions on reception flow, song choices, etc.! He added up-lighting for us last minute and brought glowsticks to the party, which was a fun surprise! The song choices kept the party going all night and he made sure no songs on the "do not play" list were not played, even if they were requested by our guests! Chris was such an awesome DJ at our wedding reception! He worked hard to ensure he knew exactly what we wanted (and didn't want) in the weeks leading up to our reception, and he absolutely delivered. We are thrilled that we ran into Chris from KC DJ Unlimited at a wedding expo. After reaching out to learn more about him and his services, we knew that he was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ! Chris is very organized and has put together a Reception Planner which guides you in determining the details and timeline of the evening prior to your wedding day. It also encourages you to list songs you for sure want played, those you do not, and what types of music you enjoy. About a week or two before your wedding date, Chris will set up a phone meeting to discuss what you have written. After that conversation, I felt so much relief knowing that my special day was in good hands and that Chris would be worrying about keeping thing moving well on the day of the wedding so that I wouldn’t have to. As such, we were able to simply relax and enjoy our special day! In addition to his organization, Chris is personable and thoughtful. He is quite easy to talk to and responsive to emails, typically responding within 24 hours. This was a huge blessing when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID-19 and had to pick a new wedding date in a timely manner before slots started getting filled by others in the same boat. Finally, he helped us implement different ways to help promote safety amongst our guests by keeping an eye on the buffet line to ensure social distancing as well as placing “text song request cards” on the tables. If you want someone who will treat you as a person and not a paycheck or who will DJ your wedding with the amount of care as if it were the wedding of a close friend, then we recommend booking Chris with KC DJ Unlimited! Equal parts DJ, host, planner, Chris oversaw our big night, without being intrusive in any way, to make sure that our big night was fun and stress-free. We received so many compliments from our guests not only about the music, but also about how funny and warm our DJ was. Thank you, Chris (KC DJ Unlimited) for your excellent DJ’ing at the party I recently hosted for my husband’s birthday. Everyone had a wonderful time at the party. And several people commented to me (unsolicited) that they thought “our DJ was fabulous!” Each of those people said generally the same things: That you played background music that was soft enough it didn’t disrupt conversations, but not so soft and mellow that it sounded like elevator music. That once in a while they would pause to listen, and the songs were ones they enjoyed. But mostly they just focused on chatting with the birthday guy, or with friends they hadn’t seen in a while. Your music made the occasion seem festive, friendly, comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable.

We can't say enough good things about Chris. He was incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating during every step of the process, even taking very last minute requests for what we wanted to hear during the wedding. His wedding planner allowed us to really iron out the details of our wedding reception prior to our special day allowing us to not have to stress about the flow of the reception.
