I loved working with KMP! I have no experience with photography, but Kate was so helpful getting us in flattering poses/lighting, and making us more comfortable in front of the camera. She made sure that every aspect of the wedding was photographed so that we can always remember the little details, and provided us with hundreds and hundreds of beautifully edited, high quality photos that I am totally in love with. I was also really happy to find such a great photographer in my budget, after looking at some much more expensive ones.

We hired Kate for our wedding in August and the whole experience was wonderful- from our first meeting, when she put us as ease with her friendly attitude and flexibility, to the prep leading up to the day (including having her keep a secret from our family that’s we’d be jumping in the ocean after our vows), to the day itself, when Kate and her assistants were so kind, friendly, and mad everyone comfortable, allowing her to capture some great posed photos as well as candids throughout the day. We got all the photos posted online within about a month, and Kate mailed us a USB with the photos, which made it even easier to access and keep them forever. I can’t recommend Kate Melody photography enough!

Working with Kate and Amy was like working with old friends. It was so easy and comfortable! They are so much fun and completely disarming. They know when to joke and when to take charge. We really loved their approach. We are so in love with the pictures that they captured of our special day. The day is fleeting, but it’s the photos that last a lifetime. We are so happy to be able to display such beautiful work!

Kate Melody along with her sister Amy are AMAZING!!! They were 100% my favorite people!!! Kate is the one you will speak with to accommodate times and schedules and she gets back to you right away and is so patient and kind!!!

I am so glad that I booked them for my wedding!!!! They took their time taking pictures! Nothing was rushed!!!!

While taking pictures we had a person try to come and interfere but Amy stepped in without bliking and eye and Deescalted the situation!!!

I will never do any phot shoots with any other photographer but them!!!!!

At my wedding they made all of my guests feel so comfortable and they were able to get silly and they honestly felt like family! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!

Weddingwire.com won't let me post my full review (too many characters). You can go read it on Yelp, Facebook, etc. The simple facts are these:
Kate promised us pictures 4-6 weeks after the wedding.
We waited 6 weeks and emailed her. She said she'd have them to us in 10 days.
Another 3 weeks went by and we emailed her again and she laughed off the slip in schedule and promised us pictures on a Google Drive that night and a tracking number for a flash drive containing all of the photos within 3 days.
Now, 3 weeks after that, we have only the pictures on the google drive, no flash drive, no tracking number and not one word or explanation from Kate.
Kate has shown that her business ethics and acumen are severely lacking. She took our money and only delivered on some of her promises when directly confronted and prompted. Even then, she made promises that she failed to follow through on.
I am disappointed that we invested in Kate and trusted her to deliver. I am offended that she explained away a 4 week slip in schedule and lack of communication with a dismissive smiley face. That nonchalant attitude does not belong in an email explaining ones failure to live up to their own promises. I am upset that she does not follow through with her promises. I wish I could go back in time and decide to hire a more professional and honest photographer. I would not and will not recommend her, personally or professionally, to anyone else. Those looking for a competent and professional photographer would do well to look elsewhere.
