I had never been to Key West prior to the proposal and was super nervous about working with a photographer I had never met before and the logistics of all of it. We have both been married before and decided we would spare our friends and family and just elope. We have visited Key West often and wanted to do something unique there. We decided on getting married by the pilot of a bi-plane while flying over Key West. We contacted Karrie and explained our plans. She was disappointed she couldn’t fly in the plane with us, but quickly came up with ideas to help photograph our special day. She met us at the airport an hour before our flight and took a series of photos around and in the bi-plane. Our pilot also helped in positioning the aircraft so Karrie could get better lighting for each picture. She was also able to take shots of us as the plane taxied and took off. Two days later, Karrie emailed us the proofs and we were thrilled! She was able to capture our excitement and happiness while including a bi-plane from the 1940’s and Key West airport in most of the pictures. She also presented some of the proofs with a lovely narrative of the day that we were able to share with friends and family. Her imagination and creativity was greatly appreciated.

We were in Key West, from Rhode Island, for our wedding. While I thought I had figured out all the details for our small group on Smathers Beach, Karrie was a step ahead of me and had ACTUALLY considered all the details! Her direction and support was like that of an old friend, from the moment she called me (when we first stepped off the plan) to reconfirm final details to to her directing my family in the exact way we needed to create stunning photos. I cannot say enough good about Karrie. Her involvement with our wedding day made it extra special, and I can honestly say things would not have gone as smoothly without her. She's the best!
