Jimmy is a family friend of the bride so he was an easy choice to be our wedding DJ. He did an unbelievable job hosting and getting our party started after dinner. We gave him some playlists and he did a great job feeling out our music choices and adding to them seamlessly. Pretty quickly after dinner ended Jimmy had so many people on the dance floor there was hardly any more space. We are biased - but this was the most fun wedding we have ever been to in large part because of our excellent DJ.

Jim was an amazing DJ for our 9/30/23 wedding!! Our guests had the best time. His request form was incredibly helpful in making sure we had all of our music bases covered. Would highly recommend!

Joanna from Soundwave is AMAZING!!!! If you are in need of a videographer for an event she is your woman! We hired her for our wedding and she was helpful every step of the way through planning all the way up to the day of the wedding. This is more than just a business to her and you can tell the moment you speak to her. Not to mention her work is beautiful and captures the perfect moments that you will want to have forever.

Jimmy was our DJ for our destination wedding over the weekend. He was attentive, personable, and played great music. He played all of our requests (and absolute jams that were along the lines of our requested songs), he had perfect timing, and he was awesome at engaging the crowd.

The first thing he did that was phenomenal was call out a dance off during dinner. My parent's table, the first to go up, did a little dance when they were called to get their food. After that, Jimmy said "the bar has been set and each table must do a dance when they get up to get their food". Every table started doing them, and a person from each table ran up to request their song with Jimmy. It was hilarious, spontaneous, and so fun to watch, and it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't said that!

He was also very perceptive to our needs. At one point before the speeches my grandfather had to be brought back to the hotel. Jimmy pulled us aside and said "I think I just saw your step dad taking your grandpa home, do you want me to wait a bit for the speeches so he doesn't miss them?". This was so sweet and thoughtful and we really appreciated that.

Jimmy - you rock. Thank you for helping us kill the dance floor the whole night!!!

Jim and the team at Soundwave are simply amazing. Jim was extremely accommodating and was even able to make last min song changes the morning of the wedding. He was extremely fun and upbeat and kept everyone dancing all night long. We would highly recommend using Soundwave!!

We had Jim & Joanna for our DJ & Videographer for our wedding recently and I cannot begin to describe how amazing they both are. We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and were adding hours and people and making so many changes during our wedding planning and both Jim & Joanna were quick to respond and accommodate all of our changes. They are also just such kind people and you can just see how much they love their work and I love that. They helped make our wedding spectacular and I would 10/10 recommend them to everyone getting married in Key West.

Jim did an amazing job with the music for our ceremony and reception! He sent us a form to complete prior to the wedding to ensure all of our requests were complete in advance of the wedding day. The form was very organized and easy to use!
We provided Jim a short list of the types of songs we wanted played at our reception and he did a great job reading the crowd and keeping everyone on the dance floor. Our guests complimented his services and said they all had a blast!! I would definitely recommend Jim for wedding and reception DJ services!

Used soundwave for both DJ and Videography great pick! Jimmy the DJ was great and knowledgeable about our venue at the Hemingway Home. Very detailed in the planning process in regards to needing information about the entire ceremony and reception...which songs to play and when...On time with announcements. Music selection was great and matched the atmosphere of the night. Easy going. Definitely recommend.
Joanna was great for videography! She was wonderful to work with and had a great working relationship with my photography team. On time and fun to work with the entire day. Very accommodating with request and was able to adjust hours to meet our needs. We even traveled around key west for our videography for a few hours. Cannot wait to see our wedding video very excited

Joanna and Jim were not only amazing with DJ and video services but they were an absolute blast to work with. Jim kept the party going all night on the dance floor and Joanna shot the most perfect wedding footage. They listened to all of our requests and executed perfectly. I initially was not going to do a wedding video and I am so happy with what Joanna produced. I am so happy we chose them as our DJ and Video vendors.
