I searched high and low for a hair and makeup artist for my wedding. My mom owns a hair salon, so hair and makeup were very important to me as I was choosing vendors. I also have very thick, uncooperative hair - I have to book 2 hours for a simple cut at my local salon just because I have so much hair. Every time I get my hair done professionally for other friend's weddings, it tends to fall out. Nadja did an excellent job with my wedding hair - I wanted a seamless, natural looking bun, and she was able to manage to execute and it didn't fall out all day long. Nadja is also just a very humble, sweet human who is very skilled.

As for my makeup, woah - I've never looked so good! I normally don't wear makeup, but Erwin was able to highlight my best features without making my face look like I was wearing too much makeup. I'm also very particular about my eyebrows and he made them look STELLAR. In fact, I was so pleased that I plan on using him as my regular eyebrow esthetician.

I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. We began my wedding day with my bridesmaids, my mom, my husband's mom and I getting ready. They setup a table and we brought in food and drinks. We were so well taken care of, and everyone looked so amazing. Erwin did my makeup and Victor did my hair.

Erwin Gomez and his team at Karma did the hair and makeup for my daughter’s wedding. The team at Karma did everyone’s hair at the salon. Adrian did my makeup at the salon (I wanted to be finished early in the day) and then Erwin came to the St. Regis to do the makeup for the entire bridal party. My daughter has been seeing Erwin for her eyebrows and makeup application for many years. In fact, she had her first professional makeup lesson with Erwin when she was a teenager. It’s no surprise that she chose Erwin and his team for the hair and makeup for her wedding.
The atmosphere at Karma is elegant and serene and we were all treated like royalty. The team at Karma did a terrific job with everyone’s hair. I loved how Adrian did my makeup and, as you would expect, Erwin did an amazing job with my daughter’s and the bridal party’s makeup. The entire bridal party looked gorgeous! Erwin and his team made us all look and feel like celebrities.

Not only is Erwin Gomez a celebrity make-up artist and eye brow guru who has owned his own salon for years, he's also the sweetest, most humble and professional talent in the business. I've worked with a lot of make-up artists and stylists. On my wedding day, there's NO ONE I trusted more to capture my true beauty but Erwin. He flawlessly and quickly applied the most glamorous, yet tasteful and appropriate make up I had even seen on a bride. I think my make up is the best I've ever seen for a bride on her wedding day. It wasn't because it way my face, it was because of Erwin's talent and know-how. Just a warning, if you're looking for a bargain, go to some-one else. But if you want to be the star of the show and a show stopper, book with Erwin Gomez.

They did an awesome job accommodating my entire wedding party (4 bridesmaids) plus myself and my mom. We all had hair and makeup. Erwin is absolutely great for the bride and MOB. The bridesmaids looked good aside from a couple crazy lipsticks and some makeup re-dos when we got home. All-in-all, I'm happy we used them. Timeliness was great on the day-of, flexibility adding services along the way, and awesome customer service.

Last year Erwin and his staff did my hair and makeup for my fiance and I's engagement photographs. The pictures turned out great! They understood my vision and aesthetic for my makeup and hair and were able to bring it to life. Super friendly, came in early to meet me to accommodate our early morning National Mall shoot, and put me at ease with their knowledge since I do not routinely do my hair and makeup for special events. Only thing I wish had been different was that more work had been done to keep my hair in place (i.e. hairspray, pins, etc.) - I have naturally straight hair and it was being curled; but, the weather was super windy so the curls blew out within a few hours. Fortunately, they stuck just long enough to get great pictures. I would definitely come back again to use Erwin for makeup!
