I used Kahua Ranch for both my wedding and reception and I could not be more pleased with that decision. The views are absolutely stunning almost to the point where it looks fake. As stated in other reviews Kahua Ranch is a working ranch that adds to its charm. The property is well maintained, the grass is groomed, and there is plenty of space for kids to run and really make the venue your own. Our ceremony was on the lawn and we also reserved the deck/barn for our reception. Kahua Ranch is truly breathe taking and the events team who manages the venue, Swept Away Events, is amazing as well. Although you are not required to use their event planning service I did, and I would highly recommend their day of coordination in addition to booking this breathtaking property.

It made my dream wedding! The views are utterly amazing!! Anyone looking to have a beautiful ranch style wedding with views over the Pacific Ocean must get married here. Charles, the ranch manager, is super kind and helpful! Book early!!! They don't advertise and they fill up quick!!!

Kahua Ranch's ceremony lawn was my DREAM wedding ceremony venue. Aside from the amazing location, the events management team (Swept Away Events) was amazing. Very responsive and helpful as well as flexible! It was truly our dream day. We were able to use the bridal suite to get ready and the staff was so accommodating

We had our wedding at Kahua Ranch in April 2017. It was absolutely stunning. Our guests were blown away by the views and serenity of the Ranch. There is extra logistical work required to have a wedding at the Ranch as opposed to a hotel, but it was absolutely worth it. The Ranch does have many rules and additional fees, so make sure to bed those down early on for your budget and timeline (especially the post-event cleanup and reset). Swept Away Events has the contract for the Ranch, and I suggest using them as your coordinators as well - they were incredibly helpful. All in all, the extra work was absolutely worth it. We were so happy to have the privacy of the Ranch and it was a special, unique wedding our guests won’t soon forget.

I recently had my wedding at Kahua Ranch and had an amazing experience. This is a working Ranch and the booking for the ranch is handled by Swept Away Events. You can not get a more beautiful venue!! We had a Saturday evening wedding and had the ceremony timing was planned where our wedding photos would be taken at sunset. There is an expanse of beautiful green pastures with a view of the ocean. Overhead are blue skies with clouds that jet but overhead. We did get sprinkled on a little bit during our photos but it was very light and passed by quickly. We held our ceremony in front of a gorgeous tree with white orchid leis hanging from the branches. For our cocktail hour we had corn hole, giant jenga, and horseshoes set up on the side lawn. Our reception was held on the deck and our wedding rental company (Hawaii Island Events) set up our tables, lighting, and decor. It was beautiful. My guests loved the site. keep in mind this is a ranch... it is rustic... but that is part of the charm!

Would have gave it 5 star except that they told us the floor would be dry by 8 to set up and it was soaking wet. Dangerous. Besides that great!! Still book it.
