Just Ask Marie
That’s all you need to say. She works magic. We enlisted her for our granddaughter to coordinate for the day on a short timeline (6 weeks). The short notice was due to relatives coming from the east coast for a visit so that they could attend. Marie impressed us with her ideas and enthusiasm at the first meeting and we knew she was the right choice. We found out later what a good choice that was. We met at the venue (Mormon Station State Park) and she helped the bride make decisions, enhanced our ideas and showed us what she could do. She coordinated the rehearsal.
On the day, I brought the decorations and beverages on my first trip to the venue I helped her helper unload my truck and went home to change, load the food and cake. When I returned, the chairs and arch were set out and decorated, the Pavilion was decorated. They set out the food, mixed the his and hers drinks (her idea) per instructions and put into her dispensers.
Every time that I thought of something that might need some attention, she already had it handled. We were able to enjoy the wedding that we paid for.

I had a friend that found Marie before her wedding in July 2022 and she came highly recommended. I honestly had no intentions of looking for a wedding coordinator or planner in order to save some money but she came at such a high recommendation that I inquired for my July 2023 wedding. I will now be recommending her to every single person I know that is getting married in the Reno Tahoe area! She kept me on top of the planning throughout the entire process, and she answered every single small detailed question that I could come up with. Without her, I would have been pulling out my hair from stress. I found myself saying let’s “just ask Marie” almost every day leading up to the wedding... She has so many connections in the wedding world as well, she cut my catering bill in half because of who she knew! (And We thought that our caterer was better than what we would’ve had) It was so easy to pick out the other vendors because she already had recommendations and relationships as well. Takes the guesswork out of the vendors. On top of everything else, she is a very kind and easy to get along with person. She made our day completely stress free and I cannot recommend Marie enough!

My husband and I got married last year, and Marie was fantastic! Leading up to our wedding, we had a number of issues with our first wedding coordinator. As the last several weeks leading up to the wedding approached, Marie jumped in and saved the day. She answered every question, coordinated every detail for the vendors, and helped our wedding day run extremely smooth. The entire day went without a single hiccup that we knew about. Everything was absoutely perfect, and we are so grateful that Marie was in charge of running the wedding. It was the most epic wedding, and we have Marie to thank for pulling it all off!

Our daughter got married October of 2021 and one of the absolute best decisions that we made was choosing Marie Stokes as our wedding coordinator. She was amazing. As the mother of the bride she made it possible that my only job was to enjoy the wedding. Not one person came up and asked me a question about the wedding. Every time I looked at Marie she gave me that genuine smile that everything is perfect and she was right. We worked with her ahead of time. We through in some COVID concerns a couple of days before the wedding and she was the complete voice of reason, and she also made special accommodations for our guests. It was nice to hand her our decorations and then when we arrived to the ceremony and the reception, they were beautifully set up. I didn’t have my phone with me so I was not able to take any pictures, and low and behold she had sent not only pictures of the venue, but special moments of our family that were not captured by the photographer. Marie and her wonderful staff were cheerful, respectful and professional. I highly recommend Marie Stokes to coordinate any kind of wedding. I have 2 more children to get married, hopefully she will still be working when they are ready to get married.

My husband and I got married on 10/9/21 and Marie was our wedding coordinator. She was so fantastic and went above and beyond to make our day stress free and beautiful! We had a large wedding party and a lot of moving parts with our wedding ceremony outside and our reception inside at another location. Marie was supportive with every step in the process and provided great insight. She facilitated everything so beautifully and we didn’t have to worry or stress at all. Her staff was also wonderful and kind. It is so important to be able to enjoy your wedding day and Marie allowed that to happen us. We are very grateful. She is excellent and I would recommend her to anyone!

My husband and I were very back and forth about the necessity of a wedding planner, but oh my am I glad we got one. Marie was literally sent from heaven I swear. She was so involved and with my busy work schedule I greatly appreciated it. We were in contact almost weekly via e-mail and we did two walk throughs at the venue. Day of she made the day just breeze by without any major issues. I also appreciated the photos she took because they were things that I don't think the photographer caught. If you are debating it, I would definitely invest in Marie for your wedding planner for the Reno/Minden/Tahoe area!

Marie is wonderful! If you haven't booked her already.. do it now! I hired her as my Day of Coordinator for my wedding on September 20, 2019. She met me at my venue several months prior and had some great insight as I began the initial event planning. I checked in occasionally from there keeping her up to date on vendor selection and a few questions along the way. She was able to help provide me with an affordable shuttle driver for my event when I was having trouble finding one!

About a month prior she started checking in very regularly with me via email. She made a whole event timeline from the rehearsal dinner through the wedding with a list of all vendors at the top, with contact and info and such.

For the rehearsal dinner she helped everyone figure out the processional and where all they needed to go. Day of she arrived 5 hours prior to my event. I sent her a message of last minute to-dos via text and she took care of it all.

Once I was there I just got to worry about.. me! She coordinated with a the vendors and made sure all the set-up and decor we're wrapped up. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be at the right times. She improvised effortlessly when we finished photography early. When I had an upset stomach during dancing, she ran to the store and got me some pepto-bismol and when the event wrapped up she even stayed to help put away a lot of the decor.

The morning after the wedding I woke up to an email with some photos she had taken throughout the day.. including a few special shots of my dad and I before we walked down the aisle.

Marie was the absolute best and I cannot recommend her enough!!

Marie was very attentive to every detail during my wedding and reception and made sure everything ran smoothly and looked beautiful. She always responded very quickly to my emails and phone calls when I had questions and always welcomed my inquiries. She was very kind when we talked about prices and had them broken down in an Excel spreadsheet so my fiance and I could go home and play with costs, plan the wedding we wanted, stay in our budget, and we knew exactly how much we were spending at the end of our reception and there were no surprises on our bill. We were very happy with how our wedding turned out and are grateful we had her help and guidance for our big day.

Marie was the planner for our wedding in May 2018. She immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease, and her reputation in the industry is known.

Leading up to, and on the day of the wedding, Marie and her team did an AMAZING job. She helped organize both our rehearsal dinner as well as a welcome reception the night before the wedding. On the day of, the weather started out beautiful, but quickly turned into a storm. Luckily, Marie changed the plan and moved the tables for the reception inside. Even with rain (and some hail), we had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. I can't recommend Marie's services enough!

What a wonderful wedding Marie coordinated for our daughter. She handled our son’s wedding in 2018 and we had to have her back for this one. It was held at our home in a country setting. This was a winter wedding with all the weather challenges that go along with rain and wind. Everything went so smoothly. The 100 guests were warm, dry and comfortable. Marie handled it all. From coordinating all of the pre-wedding preparation to the actual ceremony, reception and wedding traditions. Everything was on time and there was never a lull. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend her to anyone who is planning a wedding event. Big or small.
