I love that Julie spent more time on impromptu shots rather than posing everyone. Yes, we have some great posed photos, but I am absolutely in love with the candid ones. Thank you Julie and Israel. The best word I can think of to describe working with Julie Buck is “natural”. Shooting, posing, and editing all seemed completely effortless and produced amazing photographs. She really got to know us as a couple and adjusted her style to fit ours. Our ceremony was extremely private including only 6 people. Even in such an intimate setting, her presence was unobtrusive and discrete. She captured all of the important moments that we were hoping for, as well as candid moments of family and friends that we will cherish forever. As far as posed photographs, I really appreciated Julie’s honestly. During our engagement and wedding shoots she told us what looked good and what didn’t work without being pushy or harsh. She was so obviously committed to creating and capturing moments that any couple would want at this very special time. I am so very happy that we hired Julie to take our wedding photographs and would recommend her services to anyone.

We are so happy we chose Julie for our wedding photographer. Our package included a free engagement session, and our pictures were beautiful! We could not have been happier with them. We even used some as Christmas presents for our parents. Julie is easy to get in touch with, and very easy to work with. My fiancé and I aren't all that comfortable in front of a camera, but she directed us into poses that would turn out great and capture our feelings, as well. She was happy to blend poses that I liked with what she knew would look good in order to get the images we envisioned. It is clear that each of her clients are important to her, and she wants to capture their special moments. We cannot wait to work with Julie again on our wedding day!

For anyone who's gone through planning a wedding, you know how stressful it can be. Julie was definitely one of the easiest vendors we worked with; we gave her a time and place, and she took care of the rest. We didn't have to worry about a thing! Our wedding was planned in under 6 months, so it was a blessing that she was both available and extremely affordable. And that's before we even got the pictures back, which were absolutely gorgeous! She really captured the fun of the evening, our family and friends, and fabulous setting of our wedding perfectly. I could not have been happier with our investment.

I cannot say enough good things about Julie Buck! She's so fun and comfortable to work with. I've used Julie Buck Photography for our wedding, different events, maternity and my son's newborn photos and everything turned out AMAZING!!!! It's was actually very difficult to pick our favorites whenever we got to see them all because we loved every. single. one. I don't know how she does it. Also, she takes the time to listen to what we want. I gave her a list of all the group photos and poses that we wanted and she took care of it all. To simply say that Julie takes great photos would be the ultimate understatement. There is so much more to what she offers.

Behind the lens, Julie's eye for photography and ability to capture such precious moments cannot be taught. She is very gifted at what she does and her style is truly unique. Julie is always prepared with new ideas for every shoot, but is also extremely receptive and willing to bring your visions to life.

There is also the technical aspect of her work. Often times photographers can capture a nice photo, but they lack the technical skill to correct the lighting or do touch up work to finalize the piece, but Julie is extremely skilled with her software. She has the ability to transform a photo from good to great without overdoing it. She highlights the proper features and focuses on the subject, creating a natural glow that pulls you into each photo.

Finally, there is the person behind it all. Julie is about as genuine as a person gets. She is friendly, personable and always makes you feel comfortable. Her patience and flexibility during a shoot always eases the stress and tension of having your picture taken. She's amazing at dealing with the variety of personalities you run into at a wedding, as well as softly handling your precious newborns.

Our family has used Julie for our wedding, two newborn and family shoots, one year and two year old photos. She has exceeded expectations every time and we look forward to building a lifetime of memories with her!
