Jennifer and her team did the hair and makeup for my 11/24 wedding and I don't even know where to begin when it comes to describing how wonderful they were. I fell in love with Jennifer's work from the second I saw her photos and then loved here even more as I got to know her leading up the wedding. Jennifer was incredibly communicative from the very beginning. She was so helpful when it came to answering all of our questions at the start, and then every step of the process leading up to the wedding was so wonderful - I didn't want my trial to end because I had so much fun with her.

On the day of the wedding, we all raved about how wonderful she and her team were. Sometimes with hair and makeup, you worry about whether or not the end result will be what you dreamed it would be, but we all felt so incredibly beautiful. All of my bridesmaids said that they were amazed by how great everything turned out. I was blown away by the work she did and can't get over how great it all turned out in photos. She is a master of her art!!

It's been a few months since my wedding, and I'm so glad I waited to write a review because I get to say how much girls have GUSHED over how much they loved their makeup. One bridesmaid said she loved her makeup by Jennifer more than her wedding day. One bridesmaid said her mom told her that was the best her makeup has ever looked and is now using that as inspiration for her wedding this year (on the West Coast, or else she would hire Jennifer). I can attest to looking around at my girls and thinking how they all looked so happy and naturally glammed!

In my experience, Jennifer responds immediately with thorough and thoughtful answers to any and all questions. She gave me quotes for several scenarios so I could make the best decision on when and where to get my makeup considering the logistics that restricted us. She recommended budget-friendly lip products to buy ahead of the day. She scheduled a call a week before the wedding to go over the final details, so we both knew what to expect.

On the wedding day, despite their two-hour drive to our hotel, she showed up at 7 am in full glam herself. She didn't need to at all, I fully expected a casual look from her, but I was impressed. They were professional and prompt to get all the girls done within a tight timeline, along with delightful personalities.

She gifted everyone their sponge (with product on it) for touchups and a makeup puff for the road. For myself (the bride), she provided the sponge and puff, a makeup bag, and a huge container of makeup remover that I'm still making my way through. I will be forever grateful that I was able to touch up my smile lines and the tip of my nose right before the ceremony!

In addition, I got my hair styled by Jennifer in a low bun. Let me tell you, it did not budge. Even the pieces in the front held their curl until the end of the night.

I cannot recommend Jennifer enough!

I can't thank Jennifer enough for making me feel like an absolute beauty on my wedding day. I never really wear makeup, and when I do, it's just eyeshadow, so I was worried of how foundation and eyelashes would feel (I didn't want it to feel heavy or sticky). But I swear, it didn't feel like I was wearing makeup at all! First of all, Jennifer's communication is unmatched- she will literally respond to you within minutes, and address any questions you have with kindness. Second, she is so sweet and a pleasure to talk to. She is an amazing hype woman and makes you feel beautiful! Third, she honestly listens to you and NEVER says "that won't work" or "what you're asking for isn't doable." I would make some contradicting sounding requests, but she still worked her magic and made it happen. I wanted a dark smokey eye (which isn't traditional for weddings) and she didn't question my decision whatsoever. She never gets offended or upset when you point out something about your look that you don't like- she immediately gets to work on it until you are happy. I literally changed my eyeshadow shape about 6 times and felt so bad but she never complained nor showed any sort of negative emotion. She kept working at it until it was perfect- and it was perfect. I didn't know how high I wanted to have my hair, and she was like "we'll start low, and have you check, then keep fluffing it up until it's the height you want." You literally get to customize your look to a T! Fourth, she arrived early and was ready to get people in chairs 10 minutes earlier than expected, and she was finished earlier than expected, helping us run on time. Fifth, my makeup stayed on all night- and I cried about 506 times that day and it looked the same at 10 pm as it did at 12 pm. I was honestly a little annoyed I had to clean my face at the end of the night haha, I was hoping it all wore off but it didn't at all! There are absolutely no cons to hiring her, and trust me, you will want to splurge on her. I was able to have the best time at my wedding because I felt confident and beautiful. Trust me, you can't put a price on feeling your best, and your wedding day is no exception. I now want to start wearing makeup and have her show me what she did so I can feel gorgeous everyday. I cannot recommend Jennifer and her team enough!!! I had my hair and makeup done when in a friend’s wedding back in June 2018 and KNEW right then that I absolutely had to have Jennifer do my wedding hair and makeup as soon as I could find someone to marry (haha!). She was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. She took lots of time with me during my hair and makeup trial to make sure I was extremely comfortable and happy with my wedding look. She was on time and brought absolutely EVERYTHING with her – literally sets up a hair and makeup studio for you and all of your ladies. All of my bridesmaids looked STUNNING and loved Jennifer and her team just as much as me!! All of our looks lasted ALL NIGHT LONG and all of our pictures turned out beautiful and I know all of our JAB glam is to thank!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH JENNIFER!!! I simply can’t recommend you and your team enough! Looking forward to seeing you again for my best friend’s wedding glam this July!!

Jennifer is truly the best. I could not figure out how I wanted my hair for my wedding day and she was so patient with me! She was determined to help me figure it out and to make sure I was excited - I am beyond grateful for her! My bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup too! Jennifer had excellent communication, she was very organized, and also has such a fun personality/energy - which all made for the dream Hair and Makeup Artist. Jennifer is WICKED TALENETED (seriously can't emphasize that point enough) and I highly recommend her!

I don’t know where to start other than Jennifer made the process seamless. She was hands down one of the easiest vendors I worked with during my entire process of wedding planning. If I could do it all over again- there would be people I wouldn’t bring back but I wouldn’t think twice about retaining Jennifer for HAMU services. From my bridal trial, accommodating last minute trials for my mother and future mother in law (who was out of town), to my wedding, Jennifer far exceeded every expectation and made my hair and makeup vision come to life.
On top of all of that, Jennifer communicated timely and her responses were clear! I was never left wondering or questioning. On the day of, Jennifer and Natalie were early and prepared to setup. We had a hiccup with the key to get in the building but because they were early we sailed through the timeline flawlessly. Jennifer even stayed after to help a family friend do her hair. I really can’t say enough good things about Jennifer- she truly was one of the best decisions of my entire wedding process. She makes the entire hair and makeup process so worth it! You won’t regret it.

Jennifer was the first vendor that I booked when I got engaged the summer of 2019 - and I stand by that choice. I would have moved my date if she wasn’t available. She also stayed with me as I had to reschedule my October 2020 date to October 2021 - she responded immediately and was more than willing to reschedule me for a year later (which for a small business owner is not an easy move). I feel like you can look at Jennifer’s Instagram and website to see her beautiful hair and makeup looks - so I’ll focus my review on what you can’t see in pictures. Jennifer is the hype woman you need on your wedding day. She shows up ON-TIME (this has not been the case with other HMUAs for other weddings I’ve been in) and ORGANIZED with literally everything you could possibly imagine to set up her station (I even think she brought her own chairs hah!). I was so nervous on my wedding day - and I think Jennifer knew that - and she kept talking me through it and letting me take breaks to run to the bathroom / eat / drink water. She was essentially my extra bridesmaid while I was getting ready. Jennifer’s looks also last all night. Normally, I get super greasy grease make-up wise and was using delicate hair pins on my hair and I was very worried about what I was going to look like at 10 PM on my wedding night. Let me tell you - I looked the exact same at 10 PM as I did when Jennifer finished the look early that morning. My makeup did not look greasy at all and my hair pins stayed in tact despite crazy reception dancing. I think she sprayed like 3 different setting sprays on my face and she had me wiggle my hair pins to make sure I was comfortable with how secure it was. Book Jennifer ASAP before she books out!

You don't need to read any more reviews - Jennifer is the best! She was my hair and make-up artist for my destination wedding and I could not have been happier. I ended up changing my hair from my bridal trial and she did not miss a beat. She was very patient when I sent her way too many e-mails to schedule my trial (because I was traveling from 6 hours away) and could not have been sweeter or more helpful in person. Everyone in our wedding party loved her! I have to mention that at the end of the night my husband and I jumped into the lake and my make-up continued to look flawless. I am so thankful that I found her and I would recommend her 1000 times over!

I cannot say enough about Jennifer. She is so very talented and made me look and feel so beautiful for my wedding day. She is very thorough and attentive during your bridal trial, making sure your hair and make up are exactly what you are wanting. She asks lots of questions to arrive at the look you have envisioned for your wedding day. She is also very responsive, organized and an all around joy to be around! I loved having her and her team beautify me and my girls for my wedding!

Jennifer is SO amazing and talented! She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to hair and makeup and she made me feel and look SO beautiful on my wedding day! Jennifer not only has the skills and talent for hair and makeup application, but she is a BOSS when it comes to running her business. She is detail-oriented, organized, has amazing quality products and ensured cleanliness of tools and products, especially during COVID-19. Jennifer always makes sure that you are comfortable throughout the entire process and that you love the end result. My bridesmaids raved about her and her team! Jennifer also does Boudoir Photo Sessions, hair and makeup included, and she is sooo talented with a camera too!! I felt FLAWLESS and so CONFIDENT! She is such an amazing hype woman, knew ALL the right angles and lighting, and I had so much fun! As for my wedding photos, WOW! I had so many compliments that day, and my hair and makeup radiated in photos. The day of, she made sure I felt comfortable, relaxed, and beautiful. I can't thank her enough for being on my side and ensuring my day went according to plan! I am so fortunate to have had JAB as my wedding vendor!! She is one of my TOP FAVES! If you want a compassionate, hard working, highly skilled hair and makeup artist, look no further!!
