We had a very positive and beautiful wedding ceremony experience working with Pursu happiness

Josepha has worked closely and diligently with us to custom-design and prepare our unique spiritual ceremony that combined wedding traditions of various historical & geographical origins. We've rehearsed with Josie together virtually prior to the wedding and were very overall very pleased with her creativity, dedication and personalized approach.
We definitely recommend Josepha Dillon (Josie) as your wedding Officiant (Ceremony master) for a spiritual type of a ceremony.

Wouldn’t have had it any other way

The ceremony was everything I dreamed of and more! Josie recited the most beautiful poem for us and my husband even had it famed along with our vows. I wouldn’t have had it any other way!

My wife and I decided to have a very private ceremony with very few friends and family (less than 20) present, but Josie made the experience feel like we were surrounded by many more than that. Her attention to detail for the ceremony on what we wanted was spot on and we couldn't have asked for a better service.

What makes Josie’s ceremonies so special is the fact that each entire ceremony is written entirely anew. There are no stock speeches here and no books of pre-printed scripts to choose from. Every detail is painstakingly created between the couple and Josie so the result is a true reflection of the relationship being forged and nothing else. It’s honest, true and real.

Myles and I chose to forgo many of the more “traditional” aspects of the wedding day, and we knew from the start that your typical minister would never do. When Josie first volunteered to become credentialed and perform the ceremony, it seemed like the most convenient solution, but the benefit turned out to be much more than that. We were inspired by the older traditional ceremonies of the Celtic culture, but also wanted to be very careful not to have an overly-religious ceremony or one that might make anyone uncomfortable. The result was a hand-fasting ceremony that was, both, true to its roots and simple, honest without being obtrusive.

The main goals for our wedding were simple; we only wanted to have fun with friends and family, without any of the feelings of “performance” that can accompany an overly-stylized wedding. I have seen many weddings where the officiate was just another “service” provided with the cost of the venue. It is so clear when there is no history with the couple, no true feeling there that it actually manages to make the event a bit sad for me. To see two people so in love, forced into a ritualized script by a stranger. Love is the most honest feeling there is, and the ceremony honoring it should be honest as well. This is what Josie offers; it’s personal, its true and above all, its honest…an honest representation of the couple being joined and the love they share."

We were fortunate to have witnessed a ceremony that Rev. Dillon had performed in 2007; little did we know then, that we would be granted the privilege to legally marry in 2008 and that Josie would be part of that event.
Josie performed our wedding on a warm September evening and brought an experience to the ceremony we, or any of our guests, had ever witnessed. Through a couple of meetings and a few emails, Josie created a ceremony that not only captured the love we’ve shared in our 25-year relationship, but also unfolded a meaningful message and symbolism of strength, dedication and commitment. With her unique insightfulness and trained ear for listening, she took the opportunity to bring topics and ideas to the development process that touched our life and way of thinking. Her patience and kindness was present throughout the entire process.
We’re so very grateful for the ceremony Josie created for us. She will never be forgotten for having been part of the most important event in our life, or for creating a ceremony that encompassed all we are and all that we mean to each other.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
